    Complimentary boxing gloves to borrow

First time at a boxing hit class and it was a work out! Location is on 23rd close to multiple train options. Clean prettier venue with set times and variety locker space. One main hall for group class. This was a special event my session for cinco de mayo. Apon entering, check in or schedule a session. The locker room is basement level and limited. Gloves, towels, and shower products are available for use. You can reset locker codes for available lockers. The music during the hit class was motivating and the owner/trainer had high energy and talked to us about his company history. The staff were really nice and accounting and the artistry is an aesthetic. The space is very clean and they have a/c. They assign numbers for coordinated spots. We use weights of our choice and the sparring bags are filled with water. The water bags makes for less injury impact with wrist and hands. After the hour and half session they treated us with sayso brand margaritas with and without alcohol for options. It was tasty and we all received goodie bags with healthy delicious snacks. I thank the owner for sharing his high energy and kindness with our group. Definitely check this spot out.

I'm so obsessed. The instructors are super upbeat and encouraging. No pressure. It's like going to the club. Class just flies by. After an hour you have no idea how the time passed so fast. Love it. Cool wraps and gloves. I love the black light and neon lights. Free Lockers to safely secure your personal items. Great music.

We came as a big group of 7 to celebrate one of our friend's birthday on a Saturday and Rumble was able to accomodate in the same area, starting at the bags together. The instructor was amazing as he teaches you the boxing moves if you are a beginner. I love that because I've been to other boxing gyms and there isn't much instructions for beginners and it's easy to get lost. The instructor helped me by holding onto the bag and taught me the jab, cross, jab, jab, cross and dodge move. The cardio/weight training rounds were really intense as well but I loved it! I do wish there was more space since a lot of us in our group were really tall. The faculty is a little older but I love that there is someone servicing the areas to maintain cleaniness. We all left sweating and proud of ourselves! We will be back!

I went to a Rumble class with two girl friends after work on a weeknight. I booked through Classpass but they also offer a BOGO deal for first time clients ($38 for two classes). It was so much fun and also a great workout! We were all so exhausted at the end of it. They have 10-rounds and alternate between boxing (bag) and strength-based exercises (floor). They teach you the six punches you will use for the class, which is helpful for first-timers. The music was upbeat, and the class had such good energy to keep you going. Kristina was a great instructor - positive, encouraging, and provided clear instruction. I would recommend Rumble if you are looking to mix up your workout routine and try something fun and new!

Great workout! You definitely feel tough afterwards. Two sides ti the room: weights and bag. Great for people who don't love the treadmill. Usually a mixed-experience class so only wish is they went over more boxing super basics like wrists and thumbs.

This was my very first experience boxing, and I totally loved it. It was such a fun and dynamic class. The atmosphere is very hype here, and it feels like you're in a club, with throbbing music, playful lights, the dark aura, and with the instructor almost acting like a DJ in the middle of the studio. The music is very recent and fitting, albeit loud. Loud enough that even if you scream in pain, the person next to you won't hear. It'll be super dark in the studio, so don't be afraid of anyone judging your amateur throws. You'll still be able to see the instructor though as he's standing on a platform in the center. They use ultraviolet lights, which makes white things glow in the dark, such as the towels, your teeth, white socks, etc. That was a pleasant surprise to see while working out. The instructor I had (Miles) really helped to create and maintain the hype and energy in the class. He wears a mic and introduces each new round by first demonstrating and then having you practice on your own for the round. He'll sometimes come around and help you if he sees you struggling. For the actual class, there are 10 rounds of exercises. Half boxing, half strength exercises. You go back and forth from the benches to the bags. You'll get a number when you first come in, which will be your position in the class. The bags and benches are all numbered clearly, either on the floor or the bench. The bags they have are the aqua bags, which are really wide and heavy. Even when I'm punching repeatedly, they're pretty set in place and don't swing around that much. The benches are well arranged and organized. There's about 5 sets of different weights under the bench. There's also a little storage area where you can put your gloves while you do your strength training. Overhead the bench area, there's a film-like screen where each new round and set of exercises are displayed, while the instructor is introducing it. So in case you forget the exercises, you can always look up to see which exercise is next because the instructor doesn't do the counts altogether. Everyone does them individually and at their own pace. A random detail I noticed was that only after the workout did they turn the fans on for us to relax and cool down. Aside from the class, the place, in general, is very clean and organized. As for the locker room area, I imagine this would be what a luxury gym would look like. It's spacious with enough seating and lockers spaced throughout the whole area. There's 4 showers and 2 bathrooms. Plenty of clean towels (big and small) for you to use. There's hairdryers if you wanna wash and dry your hair there. Body lotion. Face wash. Dry shampoo. Hairspray. Hair combs. Razors. Yada yada, you get the point. Basically they have the whole spectrum.

I first heard of Rumble Boxing through their Samsung 837 event. Andy Stern taught that class and I had so much fun... I came back for more! Since then, I've taken class with Kory, Noah and Julia. Each of them have been amazing also! Every trainer has their own playlist, but it always gets you into the zone and ready to kill your workout. Everyone's so friendly - from the time you walk through the door to when you meet the trainer. There are wraps for purchase (which you keep) and gloves to rent. There are towels you can borrow during class, so they have you covered on all the essentials. During the class, you'll have a place for your gloves, towel and drink under the benches so it's out of the way. You'll get a number and start either on the floor or bag side. You keep the same number when you switch sides. I love that they dim the lights during the class so you go at your own pace or go all out! These classes are like no other class I've taken... you'll get such a good sweat, you're going to want to shower. They have all the amenities for that too from mouthwash to dry shampoo and deodorant. Definitely give it a go, it'll be worth it! I'll be back for more!

The lockers may be tricky if it's your first time using one of theirs, so ask a staff for help before locking your stuff unexpectedly! It was my first Barry's class + I did an Arms x Run class. You start on either the floor or treadmill, then you're instructed to swap stations 2xs, so that you do each section twice. You can opt to be on either the floor or treadmill the whole time though. The format of the class takes a second to get used to, since the instructor directs both sections at the same time. I personally think it's easier to be on the treadmill, since you're mostly jogging or doing sprints. If there's one con, I wish there was more space between the lockers inside the women's locker rooms and the vanity area post shower. Definitely a HIIT style class to get used to, but I loved sweating it out! Barry's is unfortunately on the higher price of workout classes ($40), but a standard price for NYC, sadly.
