So this place definitely surprised me. I was originally going to the restaurant right next to it. However they had a 45-60 min wait. I then walked over to 1886 Brewing and they had about a 30 minute wait. So I put my name in for a text alert. What was amazing is I left the restaurant, walked to the middle of the circle, and then got a text that my table was ready. I was seated in the back patio area. That area is so incredible because you are tucked away from all the crowds in the circle. A few things I noticed: 1. Their digital menu has pictures for almost all of their food items. 2. The back patio was an incredible atmosphere. Truly great for any date night. 3. The beers were good. I was not blown away by them, but they are decent beers. 4. The food tasted great! Only downside was the brussels sprouts on my item were overcooked on half of them and perfect on the other half. So consistency was a problem. 5. Since 4 tables all sat down at the same time, service was a tad slow. Overall I think this is a great restaurant and the good outweighed the bad. I will 100% be back at some point. read more

Nick was our server and he was great! We came here for a couple of drinks and quick bite to eat and everything came out in a timely manner. My girlfriend didn't like one of the beers in her flight and Nick was quick to offer her something else. Service was amazing!!! Will be coming back. read more

I mean... food was ok, good prices. Their selection kind of sucks. Like we're in Southern California where every other person is a health nut and you only carry AMERICAN cheese, which isn't even real cheese? They also only have one kind of mustard. They brew their own beer but it's incredibly mid. Anyways. I saw a cockroach there so I'm straight up not going back. I guess it's because they always leave that massive front door open but I don't know, that's just so disgusting I can never go back. Even if the food was actually good I still wouldn't return. It's too bad because the ambiance is actually pretty cool there read more

I've had their beers before indoor seating, and they've all been great. This review is more for the food, which is top notch! Josh nailed his recommendation as their Bleu cheese burger was fantastic. Juicy burger, stinky cheese (in a good way), thick bacon, and the mushroom onion fixins all made for a well balanced burger. Not pictured were the Mascarpone Cheese Cake and Ooey Gooey Butter cake for dessert. The butter cake was a little too rich for me, but the cheese cake was probably the best cheese cake I've EVER had! This place is so cool ,old school bar vibe with huge beer brewery i love the interior and the huge chandlers and bar stools .loved the vibe . I came across this place on instagram on their happy hour ad let start with food fish tacos amazing .gabagool flat bread was so good and their chees burger slider was the beast i ever had ,but the star of the show chili verde putin omg that dish alone is enough to win the experience. We had some happy hour drinks they were very very good , so all and alll put this place on your bucket list totally worth it prices were very fair even without the happy hour . So the atmosphere is fun it's a total chill place - backyard vibe the outside patios amazing and the food is good. The beers are good. It's a great time to hang out with friends. Had lunch here yesterday. Food was delish. Among the three of us, we had the meatloaf patty melt, the cheeseburger, and chile verde tacos. Service was slow, especially considering the place was almost empty. This restaurant/brewery has great potential. They have an excellent beer selection and full bar. Unfortunately, this spot is lacking a good vibe. I have a reservation for the patio on Super Bowl Sunday. Hoping to see it a little more lively next time. read more

An expensive place in the Orange Circle but the ambiance is fantastic! They've got a large indoor dining and brewing area plus seating in the back outside. There's plenty of tables and TVs, which makes getting a spot relatively quick even on their busier nights. The food is tasty (although I'd avoid their spicy salads... it's just too hot!) and the staff is friendly. Plus there's some good photo ops! read more

Went to brunch here on a Sunday morning and was pleasantly impressed by their awesome food! They also have bottomless mimosa or bottle which is perfect for sharing! The 1886 Breaky Sandwhich was bomb and my hubby got a breakfast sandwich with bacon and he loved it. We sat on their back patio with our families and this was a perfect spot for our kids too! I love that it's dog friendly and was an awesome brunch! Definitely one of my new favorite OC brunch spots read more

Food was great, the chile verde fries were just delicious. The beer and the happy hour were just excellent. We want to come back, except this dummy with a dog that was peeing and pooping everywhere had those extendable leashes and had the dog going out 30-40 feet across the floor. When I asked him if he could pulled back his dog as it was by my seat, he grabbed me inappropriately, meaning sexually assaulted me by grabbing my butt and saying "I think you can handle it big guy". Dog culture is out of hand and people are jerks. This happened around 8:30 ish? It was the guy with the pug, he long ish hair and he was maybe mid to late 50s. read more

Lovely place to pop in for a cold beer. I had never been but heard good things. I got a pale ale which was quite fresh and fries. We didn't stay long as I wanted to go record shopping, but the staff was wonderfully friendly in a good way and the beers were delicious. Sat outside and the sun was hot, but a lovely patio and easy walk. read more

Good location in the center of everything. One block from Chapman University. The beer choice is awesome. I was offered a sample, but My server made a suggestion for my beer and good choices from the menus. Lots of TVs and a patio out in back. The Ceviche was good and the tacos as well. This place has so much potential, but clearly suffers from poor management. The hostess staff always completely sucks. Unhappy girls with attitudes. Such a turnoff each time I come here. Their Elitist attitude that they are somehow doing me a favor by finding me a place to sit is pathetic. So lame. I'm a local, and spend a respectable amount of time at the circle each week, and it's like this each time I come here. Good potential, poor execution. Plenty of better options in the area. If you're just looking for beer, skip This place and go to Chapman crafted. Much better service. read more

This place has become one of my go-tos at the circle. As a vegetarian I love that I can get the Brussels without the bacon. My favorite salad is their Avocado Toast Salad although it's come out a couple different ways when I've ordered it (each variety tasted delicious). Their veggie burger is okay and you can sub the fake meat patty onto any burger. Note if you want fried those are an upgrade item - otherwise you get chips The staff is always accommodating to our request for a booth seating (it's easier to manage my toddler in a booth) and overall friendly and accommodating with dietary restrictions. On busier evenings it can be a little loud but it's not so overwhelming that you can have a conversation. read more

Super disappointed. My in-laws were visiting, and we were excited to take them here for brunch bottomless mimosas and the 1886 brunchuterie. We arrived at 1:25pm and asked for patio seating for a party of 4 plus a dog. The hostess said it would be a 15 min wait and asked if that's ok. I said yes. Then she proceeded to ask if we wanted to be seated inside or outside. I said we have a dog, are we allowed to be inside? She said no, so we said we would sit outside. We waited 15 mins, and then another hostess came to tell us it would be another 10-15 mins. After waiting 30 mins, we checked back at the host stand, and they told us 5 more mins. At 2pm the table was finally ready. On the way back we passed by another dog that was inside. So dogs are allowed inside apparently. We got to our table and were handed 3 menus, and a plate with 2 table settings. We had to ask for another menu and more table settings as we had requested a table for a party of 4. Then we saw the regular menu and asked about the brunch menu. Only then we were told brunch ended at 2pm. I was upset because we had gotten there at 1:25p and we waited for 35 mins. They could have told us upfront that brunch was ending at 2pm and asked if we were still willing to wait. We missed the chance to order what we came there for. Had we known a table wouldn't be ready until after brunch ended, we would not have wasted our time waiting. Food was good, but customer service was not. Don't think we'll be back. read more

My buddy and I walked into (pretty much) an empty restaurant. We walked back to the "beer garden" only to be told it was a private party. We then walked back into the restaurant to a lot of empty tables. We were told that they were all reserved and had to stand at the bar if we wanted a beer. What they SHOULD HAVE SAID is " tables are reserved but they're not here yet. When they get here would you mind heading to the bar area?" read more

A bit of a mixed bag. We had a meal here a few years back and had a wonderful experience. I'm told they just changed the management, and it appears not for the better. The staff was fine if a little overwhelmed. My meal was decent if unimpressive (italian sandwich) but we were in a party of 8 and a good half of our group were generally not thrilled with how their food turned out. Even the steaks that were supposed to be medium got the extremely well-done treatment. Overall, it was not an amazing experience, which sucks because I really enjoyed them years ago. They really need to re-work their kitchen a bit, especially with there being so many amazing other options in the Orange circle. read more

Stumbled upon this place while trying to find somewhere to lunch around the Orange Circle. There were lunch specials available, but you have to ask for that menu. Our server was friendly and helpful. Food took a little longer than expected for a cold sandwich and a salad but it was good overall. The fries weren't the best but the sandwich was good (even with the burnt piece of toast that they tried to hide by facing the burnt side inside the sandwich). I'd come back ans try a few other items for sure. read more

He was not willing to refund since they were not technically the ones charging you. Once we sat at the bar, the bartender was nice and made us feel comfortable so we could enjoy our night. The place was crowded with families with kids, adults just overindulging and being very loud. The moment the event started time got closer, all of this crowd started leaving which allowed us to really enjoy our night. The food was great as always. The poke nachos are really tasty with a good balance of fish and nachos. The fish and chips is one of our go to dishes they are always perfectly cooked. We have noticed that shrinkflation has happened throughout the years, but after enjoying a few beers you don't notice anymore. This was the first time trying their burger and it was amazing! The patty was perfectly cooked and the flavors just worked together. We also decided to give the beeramisu a second try and we enjoyed it. It is a creative and unique twist to your traditional tiramisu. Since it had been a while, we didn't even know that they have a club now. We gladly join and got the poke nachos as a welcome gift. I especially enjoyed the green cilantro sauce on the carne asada fries! I love that this location lets you do a beer flight with as few as 2 beers. Some of my favorite beers I tried in my flight were the Golden Stout, Wreck Alley (a stout), and Boat Shoes (a tropical IPA). One thing that shocked me about the restaurant setup was the lack of TVs. It has a sports vibe, especially with Angel Stadium right across the street, but the only TV I could see from where I was sitting was super far away. So come for great beer flights and fun apps, but not to hang out and watch sports.

Lots of space to do work and reliable wifi. There's a bathroom in the back as well. I love the songs that they play. Parking can be a little hard to find if it's later in the day. Most of the parking around there is 2 or 3 hour paid parking.

I absolutely loved the soft scramble on Rye. It was a perfect serving size as well as hitting the spot for a not so traditional breakfast. As we're sitting there, I noticed everybody was ordering the lemon ricotta pancakes, so I could not resist and ordered some as well. I will say the most underwhelming part of that was the lemon ricotta pancakes due to the ratios for the pancake pancakes and lemon ricotta. Overall, my experience was spectacular. I cannot wait to go back to Bluestone Lane to try other menu items.

I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

The food and service here were amazing, especially with the addition of the new menu. The atmosphere was also excellent, and overall, we had a great experience. However, we did encounter a slightly awkward situation. While we were being served by one of your employees--Allison, I believe--who was phenomenal at her job and very attentive, she was briefly assisting another table. During that time, we asked another server named Hailey if she could break a hundred-dollar bill for us. She responded with a rude comment: "Do you think we're a personal bank?" Fortunately, Allison overheard the exchange, apologized on Hailey's behalf, and kindly asked if we would like to speak with a manager. We assured her that it wasn't necessary, and she proceeded to break the bill for us and apologized again for the inconvenience. While we appreciated Allison's professionalism and how she handled the situation, we believe that staff like Hailey could benefit from additional customer service training.
