Food was phenomenal! Banh Mi was a little bit bbq-y and a lot-a-bit fresh! Philly was a tad too salty, that was the only bummer of the visit. The rolls for these sandwiches were soft and chewy but held up well for the toppings. The fries are house wedges, which are a pleasant contrast to the usual steak or shoestring. One of the best tasting burgers around. The meat is high quality and well-seasoned. Spinach dip egg rolls were delicious. Chicken and cheese dip was fire. Beignets were on the thicker side, still bomb. Everything was kinda messy, but excellent! Service was fantastic! They were on top of refills and answered any and all questions, despite being fairly busy. Ambiance was super chill. Fun, farmhouse bar chic. Decor was a hit. Will definitely be back!

What a great brunch spot in Orange! Our server, Monica, was fantastic and kept our ice tea refills going. We arrived around 11am and the restaurant does have indoor courtyard seating which allows pets so we brought our dog. The menu was a neat throwback too with pricing that reflected all brunch items under $20 and Bloody Mary's for $5. The only thing that they could improve would be the outdoor chairs, some padding would go a long way to make the chairs more comfortable and improve the overall experience. The breakfast burrito was good too, would have liked salsa but they removed that option and added a crema instead. Their homemade ketchup was good too

Overall, this spot is a 3.5/5. Great atmosphere, lively dining area, great bar scene, TVs for sports, and friendly community vibe. The burger big, good, but just an average burger and nothing really special. Beef dip sandwich was really a cheesesteak, had great flavor and sharp cheese which made its super delicious. The bun was a bit dry and too much bread to meat ratio. Great service, we enjoy our server, she was friendly and attentive.

I would have to return a 2nd time to have a real opinion on the food. For a first time, it was OK. Nothing extraordinary food wise stood out. They do make a decent espresso martini and that's about it. Perhaps I'll return. Service was nice, attentive, and is great for groups!

Love the vibe of this place. It's located in the orange circle so parking can be difficult at times. The spicy rigatoni was really good. Not too spicy but enough to feel the kick.

At the bosscat burger it was amazing , the bun was soft similar to a brioche, fresh lettuce, tomato cheese, and blue cheese. Asked for a medium rare is perfect. It came out very fast as well so that was nice. Michelle is an excellent server knows the menu inside n out great suggestions , she had suggested the Apple Pie for dessert it was served Alamode ,It was incredible similar to a churro taste on the crust . Ambience is nice very big , we sat in a big booth inside . They do have a patio but chose to sit inside because it was a warm day. Would like to sit outside sometime when it cools off. Look forward to coming back again. Will be asking for Michelle :)

My date is new to the OC area. Made reservations for brunch at a nearby restaurant. That didn't go well. He noticed this cute spot and we decided to check it out. We were seated upon arrival. Food was great and the drinks even better! We ordered the Prime Rib Phillip and the Chicken Bacon Wrap. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely our new Lunch Date spot at the orange circle.‍‍‍

The Happy Hour short rib grilled cheese and the Korean slaw chicken sliders.

This place is a deal during Happy Hour. It's not as noisy (though the music level is always a solid medium) and you get quick service from very good, helpful servers. I thought the Korean chicken sliders and the short-rib grilled cheese were both excellent (tho should have been served hotter) but let me tell you: The Korean chicken is seriously spicy (the server did warn me) so if you like spice, it's a great combo with the slightly sweet bun against the kimchi slaw. The short-rib grilled cheese is pure comfort food. The place is some kind of converted warehouse / packing house so you have an industrial environment but it's comfortable seating with high ceilings. Parking: You'll want to have ParkMobile pre-installed and there is plenty of parking in and around the town center but you might have to walk a couple of blocks.

Exterior view on Chapman Ave one block off the circle.

First time dining here and loved the food, service, and ambiance. The front outdoor dining area is converted from the original gas station and drive through market. The corner covered location has wide open windows, with a beautiful breeze. Our server has worked here for 2 years and shared the origin of the name Bosscat came from a former worker who affectionately called the owner Miss Bosscat so when they ventured to open a new restaurant he insisted it only made sense to name it Bosscat after her. I had the Avocado Farm Chop salad with salmon and it was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    Chilaquiles

Bosscat is absolutely DELICIOUS. Their brunch menu is all under $20 (totally unheard of no-a-days). Their Beignets are incredible, and I am now a huge fan of chilaquiles. Not pictured but also worth it: the blueberry brunch item & the cinnamon roll. Owners and staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and gave plenty of recommendations. Perfect place to celebrate, chat with your loved ones, and enjoy a delicious brunch. Lots of seating (indoor and outdoor). I am looking forward to coming back and trying the non-brunch as well ... after I have the brunch 4 more times!

    Blood Orange Paloma

I went to Bosscat Kitchen & Libations years ago, and I think some of the menu items have changed since then. I still love the decor, there are a lot of unique and interesting items throughout the restaurant. I decided to have a cocktail with dinner since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I ordered the Blood Orange Paloma and my husband had a tequila soda. Given the libations name, I expected the cocktails would be especially delicious and creative, but I was disappointed in both the taste and presentation. My drink tasted more like a regular paloma, and I didn't pick up a blood orange taste. It was topped with a fresh lime, and I think the grapefruit soda overpowered the drink. They also had two tequila blanco options: lalo and espolon. Our favorite item for the night was the burger smashies appetizer. They are three mini smash burgers, with pickles on the side, and they provide mustard and ketchup when you ask. I had the spicy rigatoni and my husband ordered the pan seared salmon. I thought my pasta was good and I liked the ricotta. My husband liked his salmon and he said the greens on the side were delicious. The charred lemon also gave the salmon a nice flavor. Service felt a little mixed during our visit. There were a couple of moments where the waitress came across as a bit sarcastic, though I'm not totally sure if I was reading it right. I think she may have overheard me mention to my husband that I didn't love my drink. When she came to check on it, I said it was fine. I don't really send drinks back, especially if that is how they make their blood orange paloma. I don't like wasting it or expecting something different. After that, the interaction felt a little off. At the end of the meal, it also took a while to get our check. She cleared our plates and it was probably about 15 minutes before she came back to take our card.

Haven't been here in a while. Carme here with the team for a birthday. Staff is really friendly and attentive. See 34a came by to check constantly and the food came out pretty quick. Very large portions. Unfortunately the menu change again and it's limited. Not sure if the menu is more extensive at night. The highlight was the artichoke spring rolls. Otherwise we were all disappointed with our choices, well except for the birthday boy who enjoyed his burger and chips. As a matter of fact, he had dinner here the night before and had the burger as well. The staff even brought out a little birthday treat, it was actually tasty.

    The Ham-azing Croissant
    Kelly M.

We stopped by for Brunch. The restaurant was not busy so we were seated quickly. Our waiter was very nice. I love the decor in here. They were also playing the Champions League Finals on the TVs which was good. I assume they'll play the World Cup games too. We ordered the Gravy Train and the Ham-azing Croissant. Just a warning, the Ham-azing Croissant is HUGE! This is a definitely a dish meant for sharing. They asked if we wanted them to pour the sauce over the croissant or leave it on the side to dip in. We decided to leave it on the side to be dipped. This croissant sandwich was very dense and filling and the cheese sauce was very rich. I been on the hunt to find the best biscuits and gravy in OC. The ones here were ok. I liked the idea of getting these with fried chicken but unfortunately the fried chicken was quite dry and stringy. The biscuits themselves were buttery and the gravy sauce was very savory and had onion chunks. But the dry chicken made the entire dish very hard to eat. Overall this was a decent brunch, mostly since we spent under $40 for so much food so it was a decent deal.

    Is there gluten free options?

    Yes

Is it loud inside where one has to talk loud to b heard?

They do have music playing, but we had a side booth and everyone could hear each other pretty well.

    Do they serve Easter brunch?

    I don't know

Is there live music Saturday nights? And what kind of music? Is it loud?

I don't recall music there. This is the one in Orange. There is also one in Irvine.

Is the dinner menu available at lunchtime during the week?

    Check the website.

Is there still a mandatory 20% gratuity on each Check?

No. That was for street fair only. 20% will still be added to parties of 6 or more but that is all

So, you close at 230 on Saturday and reopen at 330?

Yes. We take an hour in between brunch and dinner to reset our kitchen due to having such high volume nights

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes. They have an outside patio, where you can take your dogs.

Does anyone know the Spotify playlist they play here?

The brunch playlist is flashback remix 2020 😊😊

    Are kids allowed?

Hello. Kids are always allowed. We do have some kid friendly options on our dinner and brunch menus.

Can you accommodate a group of 20 for dinner?

Hello, Unfortunately or orange location can not accommodate a party that size. Our Newport location is better equipped for parties this size. You can contact…

    Do they have bottomless mimosas?

I believe they do on Sundays.

Do you have patio seating? I have made a 12 noon reservation for lunch and would like to sit on the patio so I can bring my puppy. Thank you?…

We do have patio seating. Unfortunately I do have a table that seats 12 guests. We have to split the group up on multiple table to accommodate. But dogs are welcome.

What are the days and hours for Happy Hour? Can we make a reservation?

3pm-6pm. Yes you can but so far it hang been too busy.

First timer to this location, do they have Sunday brunch?

Yes we do. 10am to 2:30pm. Same offering as our Newport location.

Are there any Vegan options available?

Just called, they have one salad that can be made vegan but they have vegetarian options. Vegetarian options cannot be made vegan.…

How is the parking? Is there a designated lot? Main reason I steer away from the circle in Orange establishments which is unfortunate since there are so many good ones.

Hi! So we parked at the structure and walk to Bosscat. It wasn't a far walk. Parking wasn't an issue for us. It was on a week day around 2:00pm.

Will this location take part in the industry night like your Irvine location?

Not to start off. Industry night is going to be revisited and changed in both locations. As of now either location does not do industry night. We should have a new offering available by this summer

When are you opening in Orange?

Hello, we will opening to the public March 30th @3pm. We will start taking reservations on March 29th. We Will be opening for regular business hours on April 1st from 11 am to 11pm.

The meats are the real star and the dishes built around them actually complement everything instead of just being a vehicle for brisket. Their brunch menu is fantastic and don't sleep on the sandwiches. The potatoes are killer, too! Also, the portions are generous, which almost never happens at this quality level. Most importantly, the flavor doesn't take a hit either. Quick bit of context for anyone considering this spot: Le Hut Dinette comes from the team behind Heritage Barbecue, so the meat pedigree is real. The chef, Ryan Garlitos, also has a Michelin Plate Award under his belt from his own restaurant. This isn't just good barbecue slapped onto a diner menu. It's someone who genuinely knows what he's doing running the whole show. Only real drawback is parking in the area. It's rough. Pro tip: go on Sundays when the bread spot next door is closed. You'll actually have a shot at a spot.

I started with the blue bread, which I loved, but the credit to which I owe to 6100 Bread. My other favorite dish was the bread pudding for dessert, which was also 6100 Bread! I got a couple of dishes to share, and they were good, definitely heavy and slathered in gravy. I do think for the portions that the dishes are worth the money, but damn these plates are loaded with thick, fatty pieces of meat. One of the dishes did come with a slaw, but I don't think it was enough to cut through the richness. Maybe it's just not for me! I tend not to like such indulgent meals, but I think this would be a great spot for meat lovers. The inside is beautiful for date night, with retro diner decor with refined touches to fit the menu. The wine selection is large, and it's a quiet space with a nice ambience. I hope to come back to try their brunch and give them a second try!

This is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. It has a true Southern-style flavor: perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and just enough of a spicy kick without overpowering the chicken. The Louisiana hot sauce packets are nothing fancy, but the simple vinegary heat pairs perfectly with the chicken. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, and the barbecue baked beans were seriously good as well. My only regret is that we didn't order the collard greens and mac and cheese--I'll definitely be trying both next time. We ordered delivery, and everything arrived hot, neatly packaged, and in great condition. The customer service was also excellent. Even the leftovers reheated beautifully in the air fryer. For my taste, Gus's beats the Korean fried chicken spots, the other Southern-style chicken restaurants, Crack Shack, Raising Cane's, and the other popular fried chicken places around Orange County. The flavor and seasoning put it in a different category. Absolutely superb. Five out of five, and easily one of the best fried chicken experiences in Orange County.
