First time here. Checked in and waited for a table. 10-15 min wait was reasonable. A couple of bench was available for guests outside. I was impressed with the service. It was expeditious, we got seated fast. The decors of the restaurant was lovely and vibrant. The food was great , it was flavorful and had the right serving size, nothing to take home. The restaurant space outdoor reminds me of SF restaurants where it was pretty crowded, not elbow to elbow - but pretty tight. For a gasoline station turned restaurant this is an amazing transition. Oh btw. Love the spacious and lovely decorated bathroom! Check them out in Orange, CA!

Came in to the filling station with my girlfriend and her meetup group for father's day breakfast. We arrived early knowing that we were expecting a group of 10 and seating is first come first served. We arrived at 8:30 for a planned 9AM breakfast. The hostess took our name and party size and then requested that we let her know when everyone arrived. She estimated 40 to 45 minutes. We were called a few minutes before 9 and seated. Great start Everyone ordered drinks and then the server came back and took meal orders. I went with my regular breakfast meal, French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. My girlfriend chose a spin on eggs Benedict with beef. Food came out quickly and was served hot. Everything tasted good and fresh for me. I especially enjoyed their bacon, cooked perfectly to my liking and fantastic flavor. Bonus that they served me 3 pieces. The server was especially helpful by allowing us to come to the register when it was time to pay and after telling her our orders she was able to charge us each individually which is always very helpful with a large group. Parking is challenging, they do have a small lot behind the restaurant but even with a compact car the spaces were tight. There is some street parking if you luck out and find a space. There are also municipal lots around downtown orange and the traffic circle which offer additional spaces. We will definitely return. Loved the kitschy decor and old gas station feel.

Hands down, the best brunch place I have ever been to! We were seated very quickly in about 10 minutes around 11am despite the rush. The service was excellent, and all the servers were very attentive. Seated in the patio area, it was a very nice and airy open space with umbrellas shielding us from the sun. We ordered the Dubai Pancake, Chimichurri Steak and Eggs, Nutella French Toast, and the Strawberry Belgium Waffle. I was not able to take a picture of the Steak and Eggs because we devoured it so quickly! The steak was flavorful and cooked to our preference. We all loved the Dubai Pancakes, as they were fluffy and had a nice balance of sweetness and texture with the crushed pistachio nuts. We'll definitely be going back again!

Quaint lil' breakfast spot in Old Town Orange. Mom and pop diners aren't super common in SoCal so this felt nostalgic to muggy summer days on the East Coast. Their freshly squeezed orange juice is refreshing. I like that you can order individual pancakes if you wanna mix and match some flavors. Their pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet and paired with fried egg and some bacon? Delightful.

We went to Filling Station for an early lunch. We got there around 11 am. There were a number of large parties there to celebrate graduation. We waited for more than half an hour, the hostess announced that the kitchen is backed up with orders, so they won't be seating anyone until the kitchen caught up with their orders. We probably waited for more than an hour before we finally got seated. We got a seat in the patio under the umbrellas, it was cool and breezy, we loved it. We ordered Egg Benedict, classic egg and bacon and hash brown combo, and also a tuna salad sandwich. Food were average, not sure it was worth the wait. The service was good even though they were very busy!

Can't go wrong with the steak and eggs with chimichurri sauce! Hefty portion. Steak was slightly overdone (asked for medium but it was more medium well) but still flavorful and juicy. Quite busy on weekends, always see a line of people during lunchtime. Glad we visited on a weekday for lunch... seated immediately. Service is friendly and atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Overall a nice neighborhood eatery and fun for people-watching if you grab an outside table.

A restaurant I have been anticipating to try and I finally was able to and it did not disappoint! My group and I were seated right away and it was fairly busy for a weekday. Now onto our order: I decided to order the Belgian waffle combo which came with bacon or sausage and eggs your way. Others ordered the Nutella French toast combo, Dubai pancakes combo and the chilaquiles. Our dishes came out shortly after ordering, everything was flavorful and delicious! I can't wait to return and try other items on the menu

This place is located in old town Tustin so be aware that on the weekend parking is tougher. This diner was a little tucked away from the big circle, but the crowd drew us in. Food was really good. Reminded us of East Coast diners :)

3/23 visit Dine in - Came by during brunch hour around 11-12 noon rush . First off parking is a headache it's in Orange which is street parking .. wait time was 15-0 mins . The host was pleasant there are benches outside & shaded whips you wait . This little spot was packed which is great !! Once we got seated our waiters were extremely attentive and super friendly. I ordered their ice coffee which alright really basic not a wow fa tire but they'd steak & chimichuri sauce was delicious. Steak was cooked well versus medium like I requested but still te see , potatoes were tasty and flavorful & crispy . Overall , it's really good and nice ambience. I even ordered a few of their fresh baked treats to go like their croissant, banana nut muffin , blueberry & their chocolate coconut muffin. Only downfall is they have ONLY 1 bathroom .. for that amount of patrons is wild to me . Definitely having a secondary one would help . I legit waiting close to 20 mins + plus to wash my hands before I eat is ridiculous.. to the guy that was in the bathroom for a close to 30 mins like Dude.. you heals up the line for myself and 6 other ppl waiting so darn inconsiderate. Besides the bathroom .. situation I'd come here to dine in again and hit the coffee spot across the street Phil's coffee and get a honey haze it's amazing .

Kid-friendly café right in the heart of Old Towne Orange!!! The Filling Station Cafe is a charming brunch spot set inside a restored vintage gas station super cute and full of nostalgic vibes. Loved our super big granola parfait. Kid favorite! Then steak and eggs. Highlight of the day! Everything is huge. Can't even finish the burger IG: socalhkfoodies

What a wonderful breakfast? Check this place out. Nothing super fancy but the food is respectable. Service was far quicker than expected although we might have been there waiting about 10 minutes for a table. This inside is more like a deli but for food. Most of the seats are outside so come on a good day.

The cutest brunch spot in OC! Once a 1920s gas station, this cafe is full of history while still feeling warm and welcoming. There's a strong community vibe and the nostalgic touches, like the original gas pump, make it a fun and unique place to dine. We wanted to sit on the patio with the colorful umbrellas and fire pit tables, but the rainy weather had us dining indoors instead, which was just as cozy with the cute decor. The menu is stacked with breakfast favorites, but we went with the specials and they were all delicious and perfect for sharing. * Chilaquiles with Pulled Pork-so much flavor and satisfying * Crab Cake Benedict: rich, with perfectly cooked eggs * Dubai Chocolate Pancakes: decadent and our dessert Portions were generous and the service was excellent. A great spot to bring friends for a different brunch spot.

Very nice spot for brunch! We went here on a Friday morning and there was a short wait. The restaurant had a super cute vibe to it. There is an indoor and outdoor part of the restaurant and we were sat outdoors. They had just added a chair to our table so one of us did have to sit on a regular folding chair which was interesting. The food was good. I ordered the strawberry waffle and it was really good. I would definitely come back here for more brunches.

My son called Culinary Dropout and spoke with Olivia, the hostess, to see if the kitchen was still serving. Olivia responded with genuine warmth and kindness, assuring us that the kitchen was still open and that they would be happy to welcome us. From the moment we arrived, Olivia's hospitality set the tone for an exceptional evening. She greeted us with a warm smile, made us feel genuinely welcome, and promptly seated us. Shortly after, our server, Layla, introduced herself. Despite the late hour, she was energetic, engaging, and had an infectious enthusiasm that elevated the entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Another team member, Emanuel, delivered one of our dishes and was equally personable and engaging. He took the time to share information about the restaurant, further demonstrating the outstanding level of hospitality displayed by the entire team. Manager Dave also stopped by our table to check on our experience. We shared with him that this was, without question, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Orange County in quite some time. Great food certainly matters, but it was the exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and positive energy of the staff that made the evening truly memorable. A sincere thank you to Layla, Olivia, Emanuel, Dave, and the entire Culinary Dropout team for creating such a first-class dining experience. All the guests were noticeably and understandably uncomfortable and sweating the entire 3 hours. No one came to check on us or to apologize for the inconvenience. This was not the event we had envisioned for the guest of honor who was 8 months pregnant. It was not only uncomfortable but also posed a health risk. The restaurant showed a lack of concern, care and accountability over the entire situation. I understand that the weather and the AC breaking were out of anyone's control but the handling of the situation and the aftermath was poor. Because of the lack of communication, poor decision making and incompetency, I cannot recommend this restaurant for any events. I was seated right away, there weren't too many people. The lady who sat me and took my order just didn't seem very pleasant. She didn't smile, honestly she looks like she hates her job. I'm a people person, and so seeing servers like that is such a let down in any establishment. Especially when I use to work at a restaurant myself. She took my order and what I ordered was one of the more expensive parts of the menu. Now I came in very casual, and I tend to look younger than my age. So I felt that maybe she didn't trust me thinking I'd dine and dash based on how I look or it's all in my head. However I did see her demeanor change a bit for an elderly couple. When I feel like that I tend to not want to stay longer. The steak and broccolini were delicious. There were these sliced potatoes layered then sliced in rectangle shapes and fried. I have no clue what it was, but it was all really good. The cornbread was delicious too! That butter was sweet, but it had a flavor I couldn't quite pinpoint. It went really well with the cornbread. The food was excellent. I ate fairly quickly because I already felt kind of weird from feeling like I don't belong and asked someone for my check and box. The gentlemen who did help me was incredibly warm, which I appreciate. I wish I got his name. He made this dinner a bit more pleasant. Then after the dinner was over I left so quickly I forgot my phone and the host that night was also very sweet. Despite that one lady server, the food, male server and female host made it a lot better.

No. No meant no table. She told me it would be a couple hour wait when I could see there were tables available. I made a reservation this Sunday. Unfortunately, buffet brunch only. I could see the chafing dishes from outside, but decided to dine here anyway. There was a family sitting outside on the patio, but since it was warm outside, when the hostess asked inside or outside, I said inside. The waitress told me about the $59/person Sunday brunch. No espresso drinks, but it includes bottomless mimosas. Champaign with orange, pineapple, cranberry juice, or all three. Yes, all three please. Eggs are custom made orders by request. The brunch buffet had great options. It included, pancakes, waffles, French toast, crepes, pasta, potatoes, cod, chicken, meats, salads, pizza, fruit, yogurt, various breads, crème brûlée, and mini chocolates. My mimosa was perfect, since I poured my side juices in myself. The food all tasted great. My complaint is the eggs. I ordered two fried eggs. I had to remind her of the order because I believe the kitchen forgot my eggs. She made an excuse that they were busy. I don't think so, since I could see the three of them from my table. When I received them, they were hot and fresh, but the worst fried egg I've ever had. Ugly and runny. A fried egg should be the easiest thing to prepare. Disappointing. The entire time I was here, there were at most five parties. One was a large group celebrating a birthday. Not crowded on Sundays. No reservation required. I only had two separate plates of food and a plate of desserts. Unless you eat or drink a lot, the price of the buffet brunch is not worth it. In summary, service was good. My champagne glass was never empty. Excluding the eggs, all the food tasted great. I like the overall look of the restaurant. The Sunday buffet brunch is not my first choice.

The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, though the indoor dining area is on the smaller side. The bar area is even more intimate, with only a few two-person tables and has a much darker, moodier atmosphere compared to the bright feel of the main dining room. I tried the Blueberry Scone ($5), Bacon Onion White Pizza ($20), and Truffle Mushroom Burger ($25). Unfortunately, the scone was the biggest disappointment as it was quite dry and I wasn't a fan of the walnuts. The pizza and burger, however, were both solid choices but nothing that stood out. My favorite part of the meal was actually the shoestring fries, which were perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. Service was just okay. After taking our order, our server never came back to check on us, refill our water glasses, or see if we needed anything else. One thoughtful touch was having sinks located outside the restrooms for anyone who just wanted to wash their hands. That said, the restroom layout felt a bit awkward. The doors were difficult to maneuver, especially with the toilets located immediately inside, and the toilets themselves were noticeably low. Parking can be challenging on weekends, particularly during the breakfast and lunch rush. Most of the nearby street parking is metered and while we only paid about $3.40 for two hours, finding an available spot might take a bit of patience.

Our server, Lee, was amazingly friendly and helpful throughout the night. - Salmon Cortada (Must get): Absolute favorite dish. It comes with two pieces featuring glistening, incredibly soft salmon over bread with subtle hints of sweetness and lemon. A remarkably complex and delicious bite. - Octopus (Second Favorite): Layered over a bright green sauce with a touch of chili. Perfectly cooked, super tender, and packed with flavor. - Anchovies: A fresh, oily, and satisfying appetizer to start the meal. - Braised Mushroom: Cool presentation with a poached egg in the center. Very tasty, though a fairly familiar flavor profile. - Elote: Tasted a bit more like a basic corn salsa than classic elote. Not my favorite. - Bread & Ham Butter: Sounded interesting. Personally wouldn't order this again, as I prefer a light whipped butter on rich, buttery bread over sourdough. - Basque Cheesecake: A solid dessert to end on. Tasty, not overly sweet, and the cheese flavor wasn't too overpowering. Parking in the back is quite tight with only about 5-6 spaces. There is also some street parking too.

The space is BEAUTIFUL, both during the day and at night. When we checked in on Friday evening they even had live music, but unfortunately I was feeling a little sick so I skipped it and told myself I'd redeem the experience the next day before heading to Disneyland. And I'm glad I did. In the daytime, the patio area is gorgeous--you can really appreciate the firepit seating and the little lake with koi fish outside. Such a relaxing vibe. We came by around 4PM to pregame before Disney and the bar was pretty busy. Huge shoutout to Arvey, the bartender who took care of us during our visit. Not only was the service exceptional, but he genuinely made some of the best cocktails we've had in a while. Sitting at the bar and watching him make the drinks was honestly part of the experience itself. At first we were trying to customize and tweak our drinks because we usually stay in our comfort zone, but after talking with him and learning more about the ingredients in The Peel's specialty cocktails, we decided to trust the process a little more. We ordered the Dragonfly and Playing With Fire, and both were amazing--beautiful presentation, really balanced flavors, sweet and sour in the best way. We're usually not big foam cocktail people either, but this visit might've changed our minds a little. Also, Playing With Fire came with a fun little presentation moment which made it even better. Honestly, I was really impressed with my experience here. I even came back for another drink at breakfast before checking out of the hotel lol. The dining area also looked beautiful and the food coming out to other tables looked really good too. Definitely looking forward to coming back anytime I'm around the Anaheim area again.

My friends who got food said it was good. I just couldn't justify paying $22 for breakfast food. i guess if you are staying at the hotel, it would be good to try. However I don't need to come back.
