A restaurant I have been anticipating to try and I finally was able to and it did not disappoint! My group and I were seated right away and it was fairly busy for a weekday. Now onto our order: I decided to order the Belgian waffle combo which came with bacon or sausage and eggs your way. Others ordered the Nutella French toast combo, Dubai pancakes combo and the chilaquiles. Our dishes came out shortly after ordering, everything was flavorful and delicious! I can't wait to return and try other items on the menu
We went to Filling Station for an early lunch. We got there around 11 am. There were a number of large parties there to celebrate graduation. We waited for more than half an hour, the hostess announced that the kitchen is backed up with orders, so they won't be seating anyone until the kitchen caught up with their orders. We probably waited for more than an hour before we finally got seated. We got a seat in the patio under the umbrellas, it was cool and breezy, we loved it. We ordered Egg Benedict, classic egg and bacon and hash brown combo, and also a tuna salad sandwich. Food were average, not sure it was worth the wait. The service was good even though they were very busy!
If you are looking for an awesome breakfast spot, the Filling Station has you covered. I usually get their specialty pancakes but decided to try their chimichuri steak and eggs. I was very impressed, the steak was perfectly cooked and the chimichuri sauce was so good, adding a nice kick. The portions here are generous and they have plenty of shaded outside seating. I have been here several times and the service is always fantastic. Thank you Filling Station. See you again soon!
3/23 visit Dine in - Came by during brunch hour around 11-12 noon rush . First off parking is a headache it's in Orange which is street parking .. wait time was 15-0 mins . The host was pleasant there are benches outside & shaded whips you wait . This little spot was packed which is great !! Once we got seated our waiters were extremely attentive and super friendly. I ordered their ice coffee which alright really basic not a wow fa tire but they'd steak & chimichuri sauce was delicious. Steak was cooked well versus medium like I requested but still te see , potatoes were tasty and flavorful & crispy . Overall , it's really good and nice ambience. I even ordered a few of their fresh baked treats to go like their croissant, banana nut muffin , blueberry & their chocolate coconut muffin. Only downfall is they have ONLY 1 bathroom .. for that amount of patrons is wild to me . Definitely having a secondary one would help . I legit waiting close to 20 mins + plus to wash my hands before I eat is ridiculous.. to the guy that was in the bathroom for a close to 30 mins like Dude.. you heals up the line for myself and 6 other ppl waiting so darn inconsiderate. Besides the bathroom .. situation I'd come here to dine in again and hit the coffee spot across the street Phil's coffee and get a honey haze it's amazing .

The cutest brunch spot in OC! Once a 1920s gas station, this cafe is full of history while still feeling warm and welcoming. There's a strong community vibe and the nostalgic touches, like the original gas pump, make it a fun and unique place to dine. We wanted to sit on the patio with the colorful umbrellas and fire pit tables, but the rainy weather had us dining indoors instead, which was just as cozy with the cute decor. The menu is stacked with breakfast favorites, but we went with the specials and they were all delicious and perfect for sharing. * Chilaquiles with Pulled Pork-so much flavor and satisfying * Crab Cake Benedict: rich, with perfectly cooked eggs * Dubai Chocolate Pancakes: decadent and our dessert Portions were generous and the service was excellent. A great spot to bring friends for a different brunch spot.

There is an indoor and outdoor part of the restaurant and we were sat outdoors. They had just added a chair to our table so one of us did have to sit on a regular folding chair which was interesting. The food was good. I ordered the strawberry waffle and it was really good. I would definitely come back here for more brunches.

The breakfast here is pretty solid, though we did feel a bit rushed toward the end of our meal even though we were only there for about an hour. I ordered the French toast with eggs and sausage and really enjoyed it. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My friend had an iced vanilla latte and I ordered a cappuccino. Both drinks were quite strong, so if you prefer a lighter coffee flavor, these might not be for you. The coffees were also large and we couldn't finish them, especially since our server stopped by abruptly every five minutes to ask if we needed anything else, which made us feel like it was time to wrap up and leave. Overall, the food was good, but the service felt a little rushed.

They have a lovely patio with plenty of heaters and even a table with small fire pits but we didn't sit there. We had a nice table with plenty of room for my pup to be comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient! We ordered pancakes which for my family who are local regulars love their pancakes. I ordered the spinach and Swiss cheese omelette and just had them add mushrooms. The veggie sausages and rye toast were also part of this breakfast combination. The hashbrowns had the the crisp that I enjoy. This meal was all around delicious! They are not yet using credit card readers but that's ok because of their overall efficiency. We love the name of this restaurant because they truly do fill you up: hence the filling station.

Came in to the filling station with my girlfriend and her meetup group for father's day breakfast. We arrived early knowing that we were expecting a group of 10 and seating is first come first served. We arrived at 8:30 for a planned 9AM breakfast. The hostess took our name and party size and then requested that we let her know when everyone arrived. She estimated 40 to 45 minutes. We were called a few minutes before 9 and seated. Great start Everyone ordered drinks and then the server came back and took meal orders. I went with my regular breakfast meal, French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. My girlfriend chose a spin on eggs Benedict with beef. Food came out quickly and was served hot. Everything tasted good and fresh for me. I especially enjoyed their bacon, cooked perfectly to my liking and fantastic flavor. Bonus that they served me 3 pieces. The server was especially helpful by allowing us to come to the register when it was time to pay and after telling her our orders she was able to charge us each individually which is always very helpful with a large group. Parking is challenging, they do have a small lot behind the restaurant but even with a compact car the spaces were tight. There is some street parking if you luck out and find a space. There are also municipal lots around downtown orange and the traffic circle which offer additional spaces. We will definitely return. Loved the kitschy decor and old gas station feel. read more
Can't go wrong with the steak and eggs with chimichurri sauce! Hefty portion. Steak was slightly overdone (asked for medium but it was more medium well) but still flavorful and juicy. Quite busy on weekends, always see a line of people during lunchtime. Glad we visited on a weekday for lunch... seated immediately. Service is friendly and atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. I have been coming here for a long time now and I am going to be honest this place feels special like no other place. The staff is the sweetest and always try to accommodate us as fast as possible. Food here is great, breakfast menu that is served here has been tested and proven by years of staying in business and attracting early folks by its flavor fullness and size generosity. In this restaurant the pace is quite fast and people come eat and go pretty quickly , don't stay here for too long. There is an indoor and an outdoor area that serves people 7 days a week until 2:30 pm. Outside area might have tents during rain season so don't worry - they got a hang of it and if you feel like coming when it's dripping from the sky - they got you. Inside area is vintage and has a lot of fuel station pieces that remind of what this place used to be before getting converted into the restaurant. Overall best breakfast place ever. What a great place. So much history and charm. Besides the poorly located restrooms, everything else just works. Had the half soup & sandwich. Tuna and tomato bisque. This did not disappoint! If you want something light but filling, go for this combo. You can choose from different sandwiches and soups. This french fries are the best around! I didn't get to check out the inside but from what I could see it looked more retro. All the food was more diner style food so don't expect anything fancy! Straight forward and good if you're looking for the classic breakfast or lunch foods. We ordered the patty melt with onion rings and country fried steak with a side of sausage. Cool place to eat in Orange County. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but there are a few public parking lots very close by. We got there at 9 am. There was plenty of public parking still. 2 minute walk from the restaurant. The restaurant was packed, from the time we got there until we left around 11 am. At 11 am, parking was full. They have a cool set up, inside and outside seating available, with heat lamps if needed. Service was great, friendly and welcoming. Delicious coffee. I did think that the food was a bit price for what you get. I ordered the French toast breakfast (4 pieces of toast, 2 bacons, and two eggs) for $18.50 I believe. I thought it was expensive, but maybe it is just me. I did enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but no, I was not full with my meal. I still had a great time there. On a saturday at 11, we waited a little over an hour. We were sat outside and it was a little chilly under the shade but it was nice. This place was overall good! I don't think i would wait an hour again to eat here though. Nothing here left me wanting to come back, but it was still good food. Check it out if the wait isn't long. The Filling Station sure is filling! Large portions a step above diner food, they have an extensive menu that's sure to satisfy everyone. They are packed on weekends, so be sure to come early or be prepared to wait. Service was fast and friendly! I got the breakfast burrito and it was good, but average. The filling was generous but overly saturated with peppers/onions. Too much imo. The Filling Station is in a great location for family breakfast and get-togethers with friends. Is the food blow-your-socks-off amazing? No. But it does the job and does it just fine! read more

I get it. It's a neighborhood thing. What you don't see unless you pay attention is food stacked on top of food. Cross contamination in full force. The asain dude wiping his face, picking his teeth then fingering your food to see what it is before bringing you a cold plate. There are mandatory temperatures for a reason! Cooks with no gloves or hair nets. The mold on the soda diabetic dispenser. The spunky slip on the ceiling. Food is served cold and tasteless. Bathroom is a disaster of filth. Service is typical of this kind of place. Ambiance needs deep cleaning and sanitation! Health department will have a field day in this place. read more

yesterday I was able to go to the filling station with some friends, we got seated in just a couple minutes on a Saturday morning. We got there just in time for their breakfast which was amazing. The guava mimosa paired amazing with my eggs Benedict. The service was okay, the busser at the end really saved it. I feel our server only came to us a few times but the guy at the end made sure our meal was good, water was filled, and asked us how we were doing. So that was nice. read more
