The Honest Truth After Living Here Longer. Do NOT Recommend
A few months ago I left a positive review, but after more time in this building, I owe future tenants the full picture. The exterior looks polished, but life inside has been deeply disappointing, and at one point, genuinely painful and unsafe.
A Major Design Flaw: 4 Elevators for 39 Floors
A 39-story tower built with only four elevators is already a stretch. For nearly three months, two of them sat completely out of service because replacement parts were "unavailable," and there was no backup plan in place. Staff offered nothing but polite smiles and daily apologies. From the 36th floor, it sometimes took me 20 minutes just to reach the lobby. Unacceptable in any building marketed as "luxury."
Management That Performs, Doesn't Manage
The management team is skilled at appearing helpful and playing peacemaker, but they have little real operational impact. They throw resident "events" with food and drinks, yet when they asked me, a professional DJ, to provide lights and speakers, they reached out only minutes before the event so they could avoid budgeting for entertainment. I was treated as a wallet, not a neighbor or a professional. Zero mutual respect.
A Service Visit That Sent Me to the ER
After a maintenance visit, the dryer in my unit was reinstalled incorrectly. I ended up catching my finger between the sliding door and the dryer door, went to the hospital, and was diagnosed with a fracture at the tip of my finger. The damage is still visible today. I contacted Marissa, the main manager, repeatedly, in person and through at least 20 follow-up emails over two months, and every reply was an excuse or a delay. No accountability. No resolution. No genuine concern for a resident injured by their own service team.
Residents Are Voting With Their Feet
A significant number of tenants have moved out in the past three months, and it's not hard to understand why. I hosted an event in the building's venue space at $1,000 per hour, and when my guests arrived at 7 PM, the parking attendant had vanished. Her explanation? She was "away for lunch." At 7 PM. Despite weeks of follow-ups specifically about parking, I landed in exactly the chaotic scenario I had warned them about.
A Mystery Noise That Took Over Two Months to Fix
For weeks, a persistent loud noise echoed somewhere in the building, and management either could not or would not locate the source. Because of that failure, my neighbor became convinced I was responsible. He banged on my door repeatedly, woke me up multiple times, and pulled me into pointless arguments that interrupted important meetings and focused work I do from home. It took more than two months for management to finally trace the real source. Two months of broken sleep, strained neighbor relations, and lost productivity, all because management couldn't perform basic diagnostic work. Honestly, if this team ran the State of California, I shudder to imagine the outcome.
Final Word
I'm counting down to the end of my lease so I can move somewhere that treats residents like human beings, not props in a marketing photo used to justify the next rent hike. The "luxury" branding here is a façade. Management's priority is image, not people. Save your money, your time, and in my case, literally, your fingers.
