I was the sound engineer for a band that was hired to perform. Rene was my contact and the load in and load out was easy and she put me in contact with the tech people and all that went flawlessly. The unfortunate thing was Rene, came in and promised the Band and myself That parking behind the venue would be taken care of, and we had no worries. Then leaving that night, I had a ticket on my vehicle. I asked Rene, and the liaison what happened and they said don't worry we'll take care of it. Needless to say with correspondence back-and-forth, they did not take care of it and I ended spending $40 while the rest of my band parked for free. It's a nice spot, but the service, drinks, and non-existent dance floor is not worth the parking nightmare. Parking is $20 Valet plus tip, and they make you hold your own keys, $15 cover charge at the door smh. It was dead on a Saturday, especially if you don't get their $500-$700 VIP tables which are already crowded; it's just not worth the hype. Music was good but you literally dance in the walk ways or your vip booth. I got a table for a birthday celebration here on a Friday night. The crowd is very young and there were a lot of minors. The music is exceptionally loud and did leave our ears ringing for a few days after. The service was great. One thing that was quite annoying is that I was not allowed to enter on the "vip" side even though I was a part of a purchased table. I was told that I had to wait in the general and very long line since the whole party did not enter at the same time. Definitely wouldn't recommend paying the minimum $800 for a table if you're having multiple people come to celebrate and they're not allowed to surpass the 20 minute line. So $60 later me and my friends get in and the music is all right, the light show is extremely bright and shines in everybody's eyes as they're dancing. I got charged $12 for crown & coke but my friend got charged $28 for a tequila & pineapple. $800 for a VIP section?? Cool nightclub. Doesn't open till 10. EDM music. Everything is expensive. younger crowd all 20 somethings. No seating unless you're willing to pay for a reserved section. Second floor balcony was $800 for a 4' bench with one small table. The space was about 6'x12'. We had found a booth in the corner that was not roped off. One of the managers came over and evicted us because he "sold the space" To someone. I protested and he let us have that upstairs "VIP" space. There was no bartender at the bar next to it. No waitress came by. Went across to the other side and there was no bartender there either. The waitress there told me "I'm not a bartender" But there are bouncers EVERYWHERE. 1902 had the privilege of hosting an all-girls celebration called Sorry Papi this past weekend. They must have missed the all-girls concept of the celebration bc 85% of their staff that night were men. Not just any men, aggressive, gazing, rude men. I was waiting in line for the restroom, and one of the men walked in to tell a girl who had too much to drink and that she needed to leave. Mind you, he wasn't being very helpful. Didn't help her down the stairs, didn't ensure she had found her friends, and didn't make sure she had a safe ride home. He just kicked her out. I witnessed another guy go after a girl who confused their back room for a restroom and one of the men bent down, got in her face, asked her (in a rude tone) what she was doing, and gestured her away. Mind you, there were no signs or roped-off area to that doorway. ANOTHER rude man kept telling women who were waiting in a very long line at the bar that they could be standing there and that there were other bars upstairs. I heard one of the women tell him the lines are just as long up there with no room to stand. He said he didn't care, they just couldn't be standing there. The Sorry Papi team was great. 1902 do better if you ever get the opportunity again. You FAILED at making it a safe space for WOMEN ONLY. read more

I would not recommend this place. Here is why. 1.Security acting like they are cops for one. To aggressive. 2. They over book for concerts and you can't even move. They say don't stand on the stairs. But then there is no where to stand. The flow and the overall vibe there from the crew was not good unfortunately except one bar tender was nice and gave great service. If you care about the artist you're going to see, I would reconsider seeing them in another city. The venue is too small for the amount of people they let in. You can't dance, you may not see anything even if you're tall, and the couch and tables they added around the dance floor make no sense. It's a total cash grab. One star for the building, but -4 stars for sleazy practices. If you don't have a ticket, just offer them $40 and you'll get in. Also, if they say valet is full, offer them $15-20 and they'll make an exception (per the supervisor I overheard over the walk-in talkie while paying to park my own car for $20). If you have money to blow, want to get drunk, and want a parade of women bringing out a bottle of vodka you could buy at the store for $60 because it makes you seem important, then this place will do. read more

50/50 chance it's a hit or miss if it's going to be lit also on some days it's 18 and up but other times it's just 21 and up so I would call before you go to make sure what days they're doing. We had a few questions about the club and we decided to ask the guard. He did reply to our questions but in a very mean and annoyed way. I know it's probably not their job, but they are the first contact of the club customers. And they shouldn't be treating customers the way they did to us last night.
