Cute vibe. Claw machines filled with rubber ducks and a photo booth really make this a cute and casual date night spot. The DJ was bumpin old school R&B with some hip hop and lots of people were having fun hopping into what looked like a live stream. They also have basketball and Jenga making this a fun spot to come chill with friends. Mexican candy shots are pre made but not bad to be honest and they ducky cups are limited but honestly such a cute souvenir. Wow this place is so beautiful. It's very big, they play good music, AND have a food truck on sight open until 1AM! Everything is made fresh to order, they're such nice gentleman in the truck. It does take a minute to get your food, but grab a drink and hangout and it will be ready. I went on a Tuesday night to celebrate with friends and it was empty so we were served at the bar and food truck promptly. I visited The Lucky Duck because they advertised having "free" crawfish. Let's just say I was deceived. First, I found out that you could only get the crawfish if you ordered a drink. Then, after buying a second drink, I found out that you were only able to get one order of crawfish. I was highly disappointed. Nonetheless, the drinks were pretty good. They had a deal where you could get $7 champagne bottles (mimosas), so I gave them a pass. They did a good job at making sure tables were clean and ready for use. The bar is open air/outdoors with some covered roof and two floors. It's very casual and laid back, and for drinks it's a full bar. The upstairs rooftop has a second bar to order from. They have arcade games and a photo booth along with a big screen they'll put games on. I've always had friendly service here and while there's no food here there's usually a taco truck parked outside which is a highlight of going here. read more

I love that they hosted the AARC Drag Brunch fundraiser. The show was amazing thanks to all of the performers. However, literally the worst bruch I've ever attended. There was a "bottomless" mimosa table and you did get one build it yourself Bloody Mary. The only food I saw was delivered to the VIP/sponsor tables and no explanation of any other food options. The person at the window of the food truck told me they didn't know what the food situation was and another person said they were bringing out platters of food soon. Never happened while I was there. Absolutely ridiculous. I love what the AARC does, and this is a blemish on their reputation. I'll not be returning to the Lucky Duck any time soon. read more

Did I show up to this place for the content? Yes. Was it worth the hype? No. We went on a random Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is absolutely laid back lounge vibes. I love that they have a rooftop bar area and have fun games for you to play. Adults like drink, enjoy a rooftop bar and arcade games. There were only a few people so the service was pretty prompt and we were able to comfortably walk about, take pictures, create fun content. Why 3 stars? I didn't enjoy this place enough to spend $10 a drink. Honestly though, I'm a dive bar person at heart though, so when I go hang out with my friends I don't want to chill for awhile and enjoy a few drinks. I couldn't see myself doing that here on a regular basis unless they had a really good happy hour or drink specials. We showed up and spent about almost 2 hours here until they told us it was 21+ and they made us leave. I went to Lucky Duck the other night, and I had not been to a bar in San Antonio in a while. It was a good welcome back. The place had a good amount of people in it, the bar tenders made us really good drinks not too heavy but not light-- they were just right ! We sat outside downstairs at first, the music was good, loud but not tooo crazy so you can still have a nice conversation, which is the perfect balance. Then we transitioned to upstairs that had a slightly different vibe, the music was not as loud. I think if you were to go on a date the upstairs outdoor tables would be perfect and the downstairs area is good for when you go with friends. I recommend this bar ! read more

My wife and I don't go out as much. We found this new place called "The Lucky Duck" and the vibe is great and everything. However, the bartender that my wife and I had was extremely horrible. I don't know her name exactly but she's by far the worst bartender I've ever had. I'm very disappointed on that because they are the second main source to keep bars alive. I will recommend this place just not to her. She just looks like she doesn't want to work or help anyone. I asked for two drinks and she made 1 and I had to repeat myself again for my drink. Very unprofessional. Also, she was talking to coworker and having a laugh before helping customers. I would like to talk to the manager or owner to tell them customer comes first.
