This is by far my favorite place for Coffee in Temple. The cuffing are amazing and the service is impeccable.

To say I'm obsessed with coffee shops is a serious understatement. When I found out 1914 had opened right down the street from me, I was ecstatic!! I came in on a rainy day off and was immediately met with that cozy, hometown vibe that Temple's other coffee shops are missing. The repurposing of an old house with creaky wooden floors really added that rustic feel to the place, which I absolutely love. Aside from that, the shop itself is spacious, bright, filled with multiple tables/couches in different nooks. I'm more of a simpleton when it comes to my go-to drinks to really taste the coffee, so I ordered an Americano, and it was perfect! I could tell that it was made with care, as everyone working there was extremely friendly and hardworking. They have a lot of seasonal/unique drinks that look delicious for those who are actually fun (unlike me haha)! Being in medicine, I'm always looking for places to study/work outside of home, and 1914 fits the bill. Very glad to finally have a coffee shop that truly feels like one :) read more

The treats are sweet, soft and delicious. The service of the people here are as sweet as the treats and the ambience is an old refinished home with a relaxing and welcoming porch, rooms with antique couches and chairs to sit and read or hang out with friends. This has become a favorite of mine! read more

The people that own this place are excellent individuals. The shop always has a great but simple crowd with a very deep Christian feel in its roots. This means everyone no matter who you are is always greeted like family and welcomed with lots of kindness. Trust me I'm not a saint and I walk-in and simply love this place. They have a very low maintenance but tasty menu from coffees and flavors, to cold drinks and the largest cookies I've ever seen that are nice and gooey . I have to really give a major thumbs up to my one goto, which is their shortbread cookies. Their products are reasonably priced not to break the bank and the service is fast and accurate. I can't say enough about this place. Definitely a great edition to Temple and my neighborhood. read more

This place gives such a home-y vibe. I got their signature 1914 coffee which was sweet and good. My husband got one of their specialty valentine drinks which he thought was really good. But the overall best, was their chocolate chip cookies! I definitely will return for one. read more

Such a cozy environment with delicious coffee--made in REAL cups! Yummy pastries and specifically love the cruffins for breakfast. It's a great place to hold a ladies Bible study fellowship or a cozy chat with a friend. Love their newest addition of a play area outside. If the kiddos are restless, it's a great place to grab a cup of coffee and let the kids play. So grateful for this coffee shop and hands down my favorite in town. read more

Amazing chocolate chip cookies! If you love chocolate I highly recommend, they're soft and chewy. I visited on a Saturday morning, they were very busy but my drink came out fairly fast! All staff was warm and friendly. A great cozy coffee shop to go with your family. In my opinion it's a little too loud to study or work from there. read more

Great family-oriented coffee shop! Been here a dozen times and have never been disappointed by their service or quality. The cruffins are the best food on the menu (they're a muffin croissant) but I also love the chocolate chip cookies! All of their pastries are made fresh in the coffee shop each day and they're always delicious! I don't like coffee but I love their carmel frappe and their plant-based energy drinks. The environment is super comfy and has plenty of different rooms based on if you want to sit at a table to do work or sit on a couch and chat with friends! read more

A new coffee shop in the area. The inside aesthetic is nice and a great place to meet friends or go to read or study. We've been twice. The first time, got 2 lattes, a hot chocolate, shortbread and a 2 spinach feta cruffins. One cruffin came out and we waited forever on the second only to be told we're getting it it'll be a minute then after that a few times said they were out of that flavor and the only option was strawberry cream cheese. We got the stuff and left. The hot chocolate our child said- I did not try it- tasted strongly of cinnamon. My friends latte she loved. My latte was overpoweringly sweet. The spinach feta cruffin was not what we were expecting. They were both filled in the middle not baked into the cruffin like I'm used to. The filling was not like chunks of feta and what you'd expect like in a spanikopita, but a very very salty and like a creamy mayonnaise-y texture. My friend ate it so she didn't waste it but felt queasy after. The strawberry cream cheese one was better, but again just filled and the cruffin pastry wasn't as flaky as I've had. The taste was good though. The shortbread wasn't a buttery flavor but powdered sugar mixed in flour taste that was gummy yet soft. Second trip- we got a latte, a lotus, a hot chocolate and shortbread and they were completely out of cruffins and it wasn't even 11am so they definitely need to work with their chef on a few things. The hot chocolate again, our child wasted because of the cinnamon or whatever taste it had. She likes the shortbread, but I prefer a buttery shortbread. My latte was hot, but very burnt/ bitter kind of sour tasting. The lotus was good. All in all, we will try it a couple more times as they've just opened and maybe working some kinks out with consistency, supply and pastry. I'd say give it a try. read more
