Outstanding place we stopped here after doing our labs at the hospital across the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful Christian theme for the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Many choices of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. They do not have decaf coffee so hopefully in the future they may look into that. Plenty of tempting pastries, cakes and their specialty Cruffins. My wife had the strawberry jam and I had the ham and Swiss. They both were to die for. Hot fresh and delicious that is for sure. Coffee served in a mug not a paper cup is very nice. Makes you feel at home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of comfy couches to relax in and enjoy the morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Many spaces to enjoy the quiet of the day and relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spaces out back for our fur babies to enjoy time with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of parking. Stay was excellent, Theodore helped us today and brought everything out to us when it was ready. We have found our coffee place a whole lot better the Starbucks for sure.

This is a cafe in Temple, Texas that I keep coming to. It is close to one of the most popular teaching hospitals in the state. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This cafe always has lively people at all hours of the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only complaint I have about this cafe, is the hours. I wish they were open longer![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] None the less, the coffee is always good and they have a whole array to choose from, I have not tried their pastries, but the cheesecake is calling my name! This is a must try cafe in Temple Tx!

This was a hidden gem in Temple, TX! [[HIGHLIGHT]]1914 is a cute, homey coffeehouse that makes you feel like you are entering a shared living room space to do work, study, or just spend a chill morning relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - I got an iced cappuccino (a solid 7.5/10)- it showcased a good roasted bean flavor with great ratio of milk to espresso. -I also got a sausage and gravy croffin (which i will probably skip next time). It was just too bland with too much croissant. -But the absolute highlight of 1914 was the CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE. I would put this chewy, gooey, decadent, moist bomb of a cookie head to head with a Levain cookie. It was that good. If i'm in the area in the future, I will definitely be back :)

Who knew the best chocolate chip cookie in the US was in Temple Texas??? I'm visiting from CA and this chocolate chip cookie blew Levain out of the water. Their coffee is delicious and they also have the cutest ambiance. Feels like you step into someone historic home that they made super welcoming!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The 1914 coffee is amazing!!! One of the barista's recommended me the 1914 it was so good. It tasted like brown sugar delight definitely add the whipped cream.!!!

My drip black coffee is ready to go!

My go-to for an early morning coffee meeting. The staff is super polite and attentive. Upbeat uplifting music is continually playing in the background. This last time I had a lemon blueberry muffin with black drip coffee. The muffin was warm out if the oven. It was lemony and balanced with the sweetness of the blueberries. Brilliant place that brightens my day and makes my life better!

Favorite coffee spot in Temple!!! I love their Lotus plant based energy drinks. Needed a change from my usual heavy based coffee drinks and this was a delicious and healthy alternative. I tried both their Texas hurricane and Texas sunrise and it was very refreshing, energizing and tasty! My bf got their signature 1914 drink and it was strong and delicious. Their cruffins are also a MUST TRY! OMG SOOOO GOOD. They do sell out early so definitely try to go before noon for their food. They are also closed on Sundays. Overall, this is one of the best cafes in Texas and I highly highly recommend them

Finally! This is the kind of coffee shop Temple has been missing. It has everything the perfect coffeehouse should have - ambiance, great tasting coffee, several cozy areas to study, and friendly service. But also a few things most do not have - a God-centered atmosphere with inspirational decor and amazing homemade baked goods. The cheesecake and shortbread are incredible! Run, don't walk ....to the best coffee shop in Bell Co.

I LOVE kolaches. They are one of my very most favorite baked goodies. When traveling to the area, I…read moreKNEW I had to get my hands on some of these bad boys as they are a Texas specialty. Kolache Kitchen appeared to be the best reviewed purveyor of these bread shaped dreams, and, though we already had a great lunch to eat, my sister and I made our way here to see what was available. KK doesn't look like much from the outside, and appears even worse from the inside, but these are often characteristics of my favorite businesses, and I ain't lookin' for ambiance at a bakery! Their sad case displayed just a few varieties of sweet kolaches, but then I asked if they had sausage rolls available, and the kind employee said they had loads! I guess they keep them separate (and heated!), so don't just assume you are limited to what you can see. Excitedly, we ended up ordering two of each meat variety (available as 5 or 2 1/2 inch), a coconut roll, and on a whim, a box of day old, half priced fruit kolaches 'cause why not? We took everything back to my sister's house, and commenced stuffing our faces. The rolls were individually wrapped in paper and marked with a letter: "S" for sausage, "C" for sausage and cheese, and "P" for jalapeño, sausage, and cheese. The ham and cheese is a different shape, and unmarked. They use local Slovacek sausage, and it is fantastic: juicy and flavorful, but not too salty. We loved everything, with jalapeño winning overall favorite. It is spicy, but not overly so. They use American cheese, which I do not prefer, but it is perfect in this application. The ham & cheese was also excellent. We heated up the day old kolaches in a 350 degree oven for about ten minutes, and it really softened them up. At about 50 cents a piece it's a steal, and while I'm sure the fresh ones are superior, we were perfectly happy with these. I tried apple, prune, and apricot, the latter of which was my favorite. The coconut roll had bits of flaked coconut rolled within the wonderfully yeasty bread, and it was not too sweet in the best way, but unfortunately dry. I almost wonder if it was day old as well, though it was not designated as such. Prices are super reasonable with sweet varieties for $1.30 each, sausage rolls ranging $1.45 to $3.25 each, depending on size and variety, and slight discounts for a dozen. Additional offerings include many made to order pies ($16 ea), plus a few frozen casseroles ($13-$26). A small cooler contained soft drinks, and while the interior, with it's wood paneled walls and blue plastic tablecloths, looks like a bad 1980's wedding reception, they do have seating if you'd like to dine in. I have had myriad kolaches from all over the US, and KK's savory varieties were far and away the king of all.
