Menu, pastarico and toast n tea, you get your carb n sugar fix

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is in a mobile container and feels very plastic old school kind of vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It doesn't feel like a fusion tea and Italian cafe/restaurant it's going for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The milk tea was powder and not so good. I will say the steamed bun was not bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't think I'd ever want to dine in maybe just grab and go it's what it feels like.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The girl who was there was ok, honestly I don't think central tx is all about customer service in general so I just don't expect to get good service.

    Taro boba
    Jessica M.

They moved next door and changed names. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Half off the section is covered in tarp so maybe they are still remodeling? It felt dark, dingy, and unfinished.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks are made in the back. Typically I'm used to boba and smoothie places making it in front of you. The drink was fine, just as in the old Tea Luck. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was disturbing to hear arguing and cursing in the closed section of the store while we waited for our drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As we exited, I saw the man and the woman who was arguing walk out of the back section.

    Tearoom in Belton, TX

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is super cute in Belton! Very nice tearoom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love that they have afternoon tea time everyday. I got the honey toast with sausage and eggs and a taro boba milk tea. They have a large variety of teas & boba to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely would be a fun girly place for brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fast. Just order at the front and they bring the food out to you. Looking forward to coming back for their high tea and to try their Italian food.

I ordered four different boba drinks from this place, and each one had a different consistency, even though they were different flavors. They all tasted like super thick powder mixed with milk. To make matters worse, when we received our drinks, they were empty of the boba pearls, even though we had specifically ordered boba teas. The server was not rude, but her customer service was lacking.

    Takoyaki
    Carrie M.

The presentation of the food was immaculate. The dishes were SO pretty. I got the berry honey toast and tried my friends' waffles, all of which were really good. My toast came with two large scoops of vanilla ice cream. Some of my friends got the chicken and waffles, which were huge and looked so good for only $10. We shared the takoyaki, which was delicious. My friend really liked the cheese on her scrambled eggs. The vibes, however, were off. The first thing we all noticed was how eerie it was when we walked in. The silence was deafening. We later discovered the one employee was the cashier, the chef, and the server all in one. We felt bad for her. It took 30 minutes for the last dish to come out, and our group were the only people in the restaurant. There was a hole in the ceiling and rubble lying on the floor. The floor was fake grass, which was really off putting. My friend was going to get the chicken and waffles, but the server suggested he get the chicken tenders instead, and he did. We were bewildered by this and wondered why this was recommended. Perhaps because it was easy to make. There was a large seating area that looked nicer but was roped off. I'll be back for the boba and for the food, but I'll take it to go unless they liven and clean up the place a little.

I picked up carryout from here for the first time and tried to new items I never have. The Bahi Mi is delicious, the best I've ever had, and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee was really good but sweet if you like that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior and decor was so nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the staff were friendly. Try this place if you haven't !

Tea Luck - yuuuuck, no boba?!?! This place is our second choice location for boba, but when you have to travel about 25 minutes to learn there isn't any boba, it's quite a bummer. I'd say this happened twice already. I'm going to give that a benefit of the doubt, and pin it on their popularity. Their menu has variety! They serve snacks and desserts, like: steamed buns, honey toast, shaved ice; plus all sorts of drinks including milk tea, smoothies, and slushies - with sweet and fun add-ins. A suggested solution for missing boba - add jellies. Surprisingly, coffee jelly pairs well with a taro smoothie. So, all this DOES make up for it. We forgive them and we shall return!

Enjoyed my visit to this somewhat quirky bubble tea place. I am familiar with similar drinks from living on the West Coast. This is a good shop and a real find here! I liked the patio.

Stopped on the way from San Antonio to Dallas on a hot day. Super refreshing! It was hit with the whole family! The boba is fresh and the jellies are good. Their buns are hot and fresh. Custard bun is slightly sweet and tasty! Red bean bun is the best I've ever had. Fresher than the buns I've had in Tokyo. We got the coconut milk tea with coconut jelly (made with real coconut milk), taro coconut milk tea smoothie w boba, Thai milk tea w boba and taro coconut milk tea w boba. The inside is unexpectedly very cute and appealing with artificial green grass. And the service was very accommodating to help us decide what to order.

My daughter was wanting boba so we went to visit Tea Luck today. I bought the blueberry slushie, two matcha lattes ones with boba one without, two bbq pork steam bun, & one chicken curry & cheese steam bun. Everything tasted really good loved the steamed buns. Will definitely be our boba spot.

Delicious food and friendly service! Water Street Waffle Co had a very long wait as it was Mother's Day! This was a lovely alternative.

    Peach boba smoothie
    Lein P.

The moment I walked in I already knew what I wanted, the mango smoothie with boba. I was ready to order it but the peach flavor looked so good so I decided to order that instead. It was good but nothing prepared me for the other item we ordered. Honey Toast with fruits and ice cream . Ooommmmyyyyyy that was sooooo good. I'm definitely going to have to come back again!!!!

We sit and order in good time as well- fyi though they advertise gluten free they advise "if its serious, please be aware there's a possibility of cross contamination due to our kitchen being small" & their potatoes "are gluten free but share the same fryer as non GF items" EYEROLLS- all of that means nothing is GF lol... anyway. The couple next to us had been seated about 30 minutes before us and still had no food, but was told that the kitchen had a huge mess up somehow and was running very behind. When their food was brought, they received the wrong order... and the folks behind us who still hadn't ordered yet received food which was also clearly someone else's! Now, I look at my phone... because my grumpy (screaming 1yo at this point) baby was starving and I was quite over the wait- holy cow! It had been over AN HOUR since we were seated. The food finally came- bit by bit... and I realized we were never given silverware. Had to ask for it. Once I start eating I was even more disappointed. The waffle i ordered was dry and other than the chocolate chips on top it was flavorless. The chicken sausage was dry & the "two eggs" must have been from a quail because it truly looked like just one. I can say with the utmost enthusiasm that I could NEVER recommend this place to anyone, nor will we be back. Not just because the food was less than mid, but the service was even worse.

We started the 2025 list and we are more than half-way through the list as of June 2026. Heading to the spots in West Texas takes some logistical planning, patience, and lots of gas for the drive from the Texas Gulf Coast. On our recent BBQ quest to West Texas,we drove home via Fort Worth from Amarillo with our eyes set on hitting one of the most consistent BBQ joints in Central Texas, Miller's Smokehouse in Belton, TX. This was our fourth time to visit Miller's. Unfortunately, Miller's Smokehouse had a surprise overnight fire late February 2026. That hasn't stopped them from feeding the community great food from a mobile trailer. They had an abbreviated menu of the BBQ staples like brisket, chicken, pulled pork, pork steaks, and St. Louis Style Ribs, and assorted sandwiches and sides. Generally, I'm a Texas Trinity traditionalist. But we he had our fill of brisket, ribs, and sausage on our West Texas journey. Instead, we jumped at the Smash Burgers! First time for us and they made a favorable impression. My wife had the Single Smash. My son and I had the Double Smash. Of course we had to try the tallow Fries. Wow! Homemade buns, oversized patties, cheese, with a smattering of pickles and burger sauce. We destroyed those burgers. Compliments to the kitchen staff cooking up some great food. The tallow Fries, seasoned with just the right amount of salt were a perfect crisp while being soft in the center. Don't cheat yourself - try the Fries. We arrived around noon and there was a very short line at that time. Parking is easy with ample parallel parking and free lots close by. The staff took good care of us. It was a bit warm but they had shaded picnic table seating with plenty of fly fans at the table to keep the critters from buzzing to nibble at your food. Before we left, we inquired about nearby restrooms to wash-up before we got back on the road. We were directed across the street to Muscovy Coffee Roasters across the street. It turns out that Muscovy is Miller's upscale sister coffee house that opened days before the February fire. I could not help but notice the spacious seating area that was packed. Nor the rich roasted coffee wafting through the air. They also serve an interesting menu of breakfast items and homemade Kolaches. Got to go back for coffee and Kolaches next time. By the way, the restrooms were Buc-ee's clean+. This is the fourth time we visited Miller's Smokehouse. Hat's off to the pitmasters and staff at Miller's Smokehouse for their perseverance. We'll be back after they open the revitalized restaurant. Hoping to meet Dusty the next time.

You have the preference to pick lakeside, so we chose that and were seated outdoors with a view of Belton Lake. Upon getting seated, we orderered the Calamari, the Crab Cakes, the Fried Catfish, Shrimp and Grits, Salmon Salad, and the burger. I also got their Sunrise Tequila cocktail (as they were out of the sunset margarita that I had initially wanted to try). I loved my shrimp and grits! The dish was super tasty, and the grits were cheesy and delicious. The fried catfish was also great, and the calamari appetizer was shared amongst the four of us. I do not think I liked the crab cake as much, but it was still pretty good. My personal preference at least. This restaurant has SO MUCH POTENTIAL yet it falls short every time I go. This last time we went…read more(6/20/26) it was for a new reason. It was in the mid 80s and over 50% humidity outside. We were wanting to sit outside for the amazing view. We are led to the table closest to the back door. The misters were on like an indoor sprinkler fire suppression system. I'm talking soaking wet everything. Our table was getting misted and the chairs on the mister side had puddles of water on the seats. This is because the humidity outside was too high for misters to be effective (they cool air via evaporation- it was too humid for this to occur). We asked our waitress (who was great) if we could get the misters turned down or off since they were not making it any cooler and just getting everything soaking wet and she said she didn't want to get in trouble. I said they could be mad at us and just tell the manager the misters are getting everything wet. She gave the impression that she'd asked this several times before and management denied customer requests to turn them off. It was so soaking wet the floor had a "caution wet floor" sign on it, which means management was aware of the state of the situation and did nothing. ? Management, if the misters are resulting in wet surfaces, that means the mist is not evaporating, and the misters are not working. This is a very simple concept. There are other things that could be improved. Once the sun started setting we were getting blinded so we all moved to the other side of the table facing away from the sun (and the lake). This is an easy fix- install some shades! This is a double solution as they can be used to retain warmth in cold weather. Overall the food was really good. The gumbo was weirdly gelatinous and did NOT TASTE LIKE traditional gumbo- I'm from southeast Texas, from a long line of Cajun cooks. It tasted more like gravy and had a gravy texture. Not really edible. The snapper was delicious. The basil cream sauce was a smart choice, but it also was way too thick and had a goopy, non-pourable texture. Seemed like too much cornstarch was added. I ordered a bahama mama and asked for the alcohol on the side because I've felt the drinks are skimped here in the past, and they only gave me 1 shot of rum when the menu says there is a light and a dark rum shot in the drink. Waitress said the drink already had the coconut rum in it- definitely didn't taste like it. Plus, I've asked for this before and they did bring out 2 shots, so I think I just got skimped which is per usual. There was also a 6-ish y/o little boy who spent about 20-30 mins running and stomping up and down the deck right alongside our table. He was enjoying himself stomping in the mister puddles. Not his fault that he wasn't being supervised or contained; his parents were somewhere way far away out of eye and earshot. I saw waitresses notice, but no one made the effort to get this child's parents to corral him back to their table. We love kids so this wasn't as big of a deal as it could have been. So much potential, so many oversights. I believe in this place and I know they can improve!
