Checked out of the hotel and wanted to get a drink at the bar to kill some time before my flight. The bar has plenty of seating at the bar and around the area. I opted for a comfier lounge chair next to the bar and checked out the menu on the table. When I was ready to order, I went up to the bar. Which, if you've been to bars in general, they happily take your order and you wait and bring the drinks back to your seat. Well not at Vesper. Went up ready to order and the bartender asked where we were seated and said a waitress would come by and that we couldn't order with him. We sat, we waited 15-20 mins and no one came around. We waited long enough and decided it wasn't worth our money. If trying to get an order in was this difficult, can't imagine what the rest of the service is like. read more

I arrived to the vesper bar and found a nice couch next to the bar. The atmosphere is nice and the bar looks very appealing. I sat for around 15 minutes waiting for service and then walked up to the bar instead to order drinks. He rejected my offer and said the waitress would take my order and to return back to my seat. This is one of my favorite "regular" bars in this complex. It is always open when I want a drink and the service is generally good. It has a dark atmosphere, so it's easy to do computer work, stream a show, or have an intimate chat. The drinks are priced reasonably (for Vegas). read more

A nice get away while gambling or waiting for your restaurant reservation. The seating is open and plentiful. The service is attentive and there are many vantage points to either be intimate or sit on the outside and people watch. The drinks were very good! All the cocktails on the menu are a revamp of something traditional but don't let that scare you. My drink was a mezcal but it was blue. The Vesper Bar is quiet and a perfect spot to sit with a strong cocktail in hand at the Cosmopolitan. It's trendy but vintage-y with mirrors and swanky furniture. I was in town on a Monday opted for the namesake, Vesper for my nightcap. It was delish and gave me all of the James Bond vibes. Pricing is pretty standard. This is my friend's favorite bar in Vegas, so we decided to stop by late Saturday night. I appreciate that it's one of the few places we visited that stays open past 2 AM--definitely a plus! The bar area is a pretty cool and is surrounded by mirrored tiles and dripping chandeliers. Seating is spread out with a wait staff that will take your order if you don't order from the bar. There is a lot of foot traffic nearby because this is the first bar that you will encounter after checking into the hotel. Basically if you want to be seen, this is the place to go. The Vesper drink menu is a mix of classic cocktails and reimagined ones along with beer and wine. Even though I am a big James Bond fan, I did not order a martini "shaken, not stirred". If I could leave zero stars, I would. At first, the service seemed great. We had a friendly interaction with the bartender and even briefly connected with his wife over the phone, so the experience initially felt welcoming. That changed quickly. While I stepped away for just a couple of minutes, an older man near the bar began making extremely inappropriate sexual comments to my girlfriend, including comments about the bartender in a way that felt aggressive, uncomfortable, and completely inappropriate in a hospitality setting. What made it worse was the bartender's reaction. Instead of shutting it down or making sure guests felt safe, he immediately defended the person making the comments. That made it feel like this kind of behavior was tolerated, if not outright protected. No guest should have to deal with sexual comments or harassment while trying to enjoy a night out. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this bar, and I would not expect management or MGM to take guest comfort seriously unless they address this kind of behavior directly. If they did, they'd have to get rid of the bartender that is being pushed on his customers by what seems to be his manager of sorts.... read more

Very strong, but good, drinks. I got the Taste the Tequila, Margarita and it was delicious. I would get it every time. A friend got the Vesper, Vesper and it definitely tasted like pure alcohol, same with my friend who got the Japanese Highball. So come expecting very strong drinks. This isn't a fluffy cocktail that doesn't taste like alcohol. It's located by the casino of the Cosmopolitan. It's small and was surprisingly busy at around 11 a.m. on a Friday. That's the sign of it being good. The name is in reference to James Bond and it does seem like the type of bar that James Bond would go to. Smokey and dark. You don't have to dress up to be here, since it is right off the casino floor. This is a great place to stop by if you happen to be in the Cosmo. read more

One of my favorite things about the Vesper Bar, is that they offer egg white drinks on the menu. It's become pretty difficult to find a bar in Vegas that offers such drinks, so I know Vesper is the go to place for a good Vodka Sour. Our experience with the bartenders have usually been a positive one. They are quick to greet you and take your order. If its' a busy Friday or Saturday night, pack your patience! The bar is pretty big considering its location, and if you are not able to find bar seating right away, there is plenty of seating around the bar top as well. I think I've had the best Negroni at Vesper! It's strong and yet sweet and smooth to the palate. It goes down smoothly to the throat leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. I highly recommend it as well as their other cocktail called Most Certainly Wood. I've had most of their cocktails and they're all 5/5. They also serve wines and beers. Crystal was so nice and even though it was a very busy Sunday afternoon for them, she looked cheerful and was very polite. Thank you for the excellent service! As I age, I find myself annoyed at loud music and even more annoyed with bad cocktails. Cosmopolitan is home to the multi-story Chandelier bar which is stunning, but quite often packed. And when I want a drink, I don't want to deal with waiting around to nab a seat. Vesper Bar was the ticket. Essentially their lobby bar, but much nicer, it had an extensive (and interesting) cocktail menu. Staff wasn't prompt with drinks. The crowd can definitely get interesting as the night wears on, especially if you're sitting at the bar. But the people watching makes up for it. Vesper Bar is for people who want a good drink and keep their ear drums intact. read more

Yes, yes, yes!!!!!! Literally obsessed with this bar! Vesper bar is located right next to the check in/out desk of the cosmopolitan inside the Chelsea tower. It's open seating, but a gorgeous set up. Upscale chill vibes and the service and drinks are AMAZING!! Vesper bar makes the best espresso martini's in my opinion, and make sure you ask them for the UV light to see their secret menu! This is an alternative to the Chandelier Bar, but I feel it has a better menu, is more open and easy to hang out in without stress, and has better service. It also has a very classy feel. The bartenders, the cocktail servers, very elegant and professional. The low lighting and use of blue everywhere gave it a classy look and feel. You can't go to a bar called "Vesper Bar" and not think about Ian Fleming and James Bond, and the bar menu reflects Bond and his drinks through history in the books and films. But they also have some very cool drinks that are not related to Bond history. I had the cherry blossom matcha drink - very delicious. They have a "secret menu", which is only viewable with an ultraviolet light. Ask the server for the light to see that part of the menu. Drink prices are high, but it's Vegas on the strip. While the staff at the Cosmos Hotel were warm, attentive, and amazing, the staff at this bar were the opposite. My girlfriend had a poor experience and left feeling belittled and ignored. When we raised the issue, the hotel staff escalated it to the food and beverage manager -- who only made things worse. His tone felt more like an interrogation than an attempt to listen, leaving us feeling dismissed rather than heard. It's bad enough to have a bartender with a bad attitude, but having a manager mirror that behavior is unacceptable, especially at such an expensive bar. A note to management: hospitality isn't about the customer always being right -- it's about making sure guests feel respected and valued. On both counts, you failed. I also can't understand how the attitude between the hotel staff and the bar staff, located right next to each other, can be so drastically different. "Disappointed" doesn't even begin to describe our experience. We won't be recommending this place. read more

Taste the Tequila Margarita ~ Casazul Cristalino Ultra Tequila, Fresh Lime & Agave Nectar, Orange Oil La Paloma ~ Herradura Silver Tequila or Rayu Mezcal, Lavender infused Crème de Peche, Fresh Lime, Peychaud's Bitters, Grapefruit Soda But the Desert Island Cocktail of Rayu Mezcal, Lustau Manzanilla Sherry, Coconut, Blue Curacao, and Fresh Lime drew my fancy. It was sublime. I felt I like I was on the beach in Celestun on the Mayan Peninsula. NOTE: If you're feeling inspired to be Bond, James Bond, the Vesper has your drink. It's themed almost like a dark Alice in Wonderland (so I've heard) They have classic drinks as well as a portion of the menu which is classics with a twist.
