Went there today with great expectations to get very specific personalized service Dr Reno was in a hurry didn't give me the advanced detail. This is in regard to the Willowbrook office, with Dr. Reem Z. Renno, I took my father to his appointment with her on Wednesday, May 27th and was treated unfairly and unprofessional. At the end of the appointment she walked us to the reception area, my father still had a few questions, as she walked away, she said to him, "I do not have time to keep answering your questions." I said, "Wow that was rude." And she says to the receptionist, "They can go back to their original provider." We have never been treated in this manner, we were taken back and confused as to why the doctor could not answers my dad's questions, as she is the doctor and he is her patient. We asked the receptionist not to request my dad's medical records, that we would not be returning to see Dr. Reem Z. Renno and that we would gladly return to the Mann Eye Institute where we have been treated with respect. read more

I relied on Next Door for an Eye Doctor. A few pointed to Dr. Joel Cohen. While I was in the office I looked at YELP and it was 2.2 stars so I got worried. Reception was so friendly, Medical Assistant was so cordial asked how to pronounce my name correctly. Very nice. Needed preliminary tests and he was gentle...you know the puff in the eyes. Time to meet the MD. It was a long day for him as he was busy, end of the year and is older than hubs. I introduced myself because I wasn't sure he was going to. He was a most thorough MD and explained everything to me and wrote it down too because he knew my speech and cognitive skills where affected my Covid. I do not understand the negative reviews for 1960 Eye Surgeons. I was very satisfied with Dr. Cohen's professionalism, observation and diagnosis. Scheduled follow up for January 2nd. read more

Unfortunately I have waisted to much of my time with 1960 Eye Surgeons. Extremely poor medical service. However, they are on the up and up taking your co-pay. After that......you are on their time. Perhaps they feel their time is more important then yours. Horrible experience! There are to many other good ophthalmologist in Houston, to have to deal with such horrible patient care. Will fight any bill that comes my way. read more

In the past few years, I received excellent and compassionate service from Dr. Judith Feigon who is now located at 1960 Eye Surgeons. I am an elderly patient who has complications from diabetes and cataracts. Unlike others who have expressed concern, I never had any trouble scheduling appointments or speaking with staff on the phone. I highly recommend Dr. Feigon and the practice. read more

Schedule a new patient visit. Two weeks later, the eye is no better, been following the instructions to the letter. Call back to make a follow up appointment, wait 20 minutes on the phone only to be told that the earliest appointment is at least a week out, even for a follow up for a treatment that is not working. If I want to drive across town I could get in there in three days. If this is how they treat a new patient, I can only imagine how they would treat their existing ones. Not good. read more

One month ago I walked in to make an appointment and gave them my insurance card and filled out all the forms. I had to wait a month for an appointment which I understand is reasonable. I was told that they would make sure that everything on their end as far as my insurance was taken care of. I waited the month for my appointment and today showed up 15 minutes before the time of my appointment. Since I had already filled out most of the paperwork, I had very little paperwork to complete. I sat and waited for 15 minutes and then one of the office staff came out and told me that they were unable to verify my coverage. I had made appointment with a specific doctor and the doctor was not listed on my paperwork. I don't know why they change the doctor that I was supposed to see and had made an appointment with but no one called me to check on this.. I told the woman that they had promised me (when I had come in one month before) that they were going to verify my insurance and if there was any problems they would contact me. Even though they are listed under my insurance (Cigna) as being an approved provider, the person I spoke to told me she couldn't figure out how to get beyond the first screen. I later learned that the entire front desk staff is new from a month ago. Not sure what is going on here but if you were a new patient, do not bother to waste your time making an appointment. I am really annoyed that I wasted a whole month when I could've gone to another approved provider and actually getting my eyes examined. My husband had very good success purchasing glasses here but he had had his eye exam at a different location. I would never return here to see one of the doctors for an eye exam because they don't seem to have qualified staff who know what they're doing, but I do plan to return to purchase glasses read more

I confess that I have not stepped foot in this office. I entered my information on their website for an appointment and was never contacted so I called them, got put on hold, and after 10 minutes holding I was hung up on. Not a great first impression. There are plenty more places I can choose from. read more

Had 2 appointments. Both times waited over an hour to see Dr. Cohen. He offered no excuse or no apology. Seemed overbooked, grubbing for money. No respect for his customers. Just poor service. read more

I've been a patient of 1960 for several years and drive in from out of town to see them. I've always had great experiences with both the ophthalmologists and the optometrists. I initially went to them on a friend's recommendation when a local clinic couldn't get my glasses prescription done correctly and couldn't come up with contacts that would work for me. Dr. Markus was able to get me a prescription for contacts that worked well and over visits Dr Chang-Godinich has provided answers to all my questions. DEY optical was able to fit me with glasses that worked well. I won't go back to my local clinic and will continue to to use 1960. read more

I brought my son to see Dr. Chang after a pretty bad and painful corneal abrasion. Her staff was very friendly and helpful in getting us in quickly. During our visit, Dr. Chang was very thorough in checking his eye, clear with her instructions, and made a point to address all of my concerns. It's easy to tell that she's knowledgeable and well-experienced. My son definitely liked her and said he would like to see her again, in the future. We'll definitely be back. read more

I would be terrified to see Chang-Godinich ever again as a patient. A staff member (nonlicensed) read doctor's notes in my medical records when I called to inquire about Lasik and advised me of complications I had with my eyes (first time I heard about any eye complication). After that, I called repeatedly and even left a message on the portal to request a conversation with Chang-Godinich to understand what eye complication I had. Her staff repeatedly told me that she does not speak with clients on the phone ever. Even in this situation where I have no clue if I have a significant eye issue or not based upon what the staff member said. Chang-Godinich would only meet me during an office visit (at full office visit charge per her staff - even though I had just had an exam a couple of weeks ago and there was no mention of any eye complication). I have never heard of a doctor not speaking directly with a patient, and the only way to get an answer is to spend additional money to get a clear understanding on my medical records reported by a nonlicensed staff member. What if I had an immediate condition and I had to wait for an office visit. Not a good situation. Still today I have no clue what eye complication I have. As I don't have an extra $225 for an office visit to spend. read more

I've seen two different doctors and both rush you in and out. Billing is another nightmare! The office manager Dana is very short and changes the rules to benefit them. I was charged for something that I told them I didn't want. My payment for which I have a receipt was not posted to my account and now received a statement for.
