Had a great experience here lately. Got a shave and beard trim from Jacob, and he was fantastic. Top quality barber with great customer service. Highly recommend making an appointment, but they were able to take me as a walk-in. This cut was not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I went for my first cut from Frankie yesterday. I wear my hair a little longer (get it cut every four to six weeks). I sometimes have trouble with folks cutting it too short, even when I tell them I want to keep it long. Not Frankie--he gave me an awesome trim. He also cleaned up my eyebrows without me having to ask, which always makes my day. He consulted on my beard/sideburn shaping--I appreciated his advice. When I walked in, I hear the tv blasting and soon hear the words pussy, boner, asshole, ejaculation, titties, dick etc. I looked up expecting to see porn. I guess it was just the show Workaholics. That show is NSFW and has no business being shown in a reputable . There were four staff working (including two women) and nobody batted an eye. I was stuck there as my kid was halfway done. I would definitely recommend this barbershop! Not only does it give that urban feel it makes you feel like you're at a real barbershop! The two barbers here are amazing! Great friendly barbers that know exactly what they are doing and don't make you feel awkward or uncomfortable! The barber that cuts my hair is Daniel and he's always done a fantastic job. I've been coming to him for over a year now and have not gone to anyone else since. He knows how to take care of my hair and have me leaving feeling with that fresh fresh look. A problem I have had with barbers in the past is that when you ask them to do something simple, they take it way too far and chop way too much off so they can justify overcharging you. Like, it can look good, but it isn't what you wanted. I did not have this problem here. I told Daniel that I wanted a simple beard trim just to even it out, not to mess with the overall length or anything. He nailed it better than any other barber ever has in my experience. read more

Cool, laid back guys that are locals. I wish they had a sink to get a rinse out or shampoo, but it's cool. Andrea gave me easily the best haircut as was as barber experience I've ever had in my life. Not only is she skilled in her craft, but she also takes her time and is very detail oriented. I've gone to 1972 for my haircuts, and often leave looking (and feeling) like a dapper bad-ass. Daniel's very friendly and approachable, a nice guy to make conversation with. He never does a rush-job; he'll be thorough and diligent, and has always made sure that I'm happy with my haircut. He also gives me good advice on how to comb and style my pompadour, what product I can use, etc. The shop is relaxed and genuine, nothing snooty nor pretentious. I'd describe the atmosphere as "your greaser friend's man-cave." The place is clean and comfortable, with cool artwork/decor on the walls and a steady helping of punk/rockabilly music.
