Jesse was great, first time in was today and he cleaned up my boyfriend very well. I called at like 11:30, they got us in early (we got there 15 minutes early and they got us right away), he was really attentive to detail so the haircut took an hour but it was very productive and enjoyable. Why do you ask... let me count the ways 1) the shop is clean, organized and well run 2) stylists are friendly and good at what they do 3) prices are reasonable ($15 for men's standard cut) and they offer a large variety of services 4) you can make a reservation online!!!!! No need to wait 45-60 mins for a cut. Reserve online. Show up and your in the chair getting a cut pronto. LOVE THAT!!! HiEnd? This is the worst barbershop by far in Tucson. I placed an appointment and came in ready to get my haircut. When I got in my barber Audrey took another person to cut while I had a designated time. Just because our skin colors matched he assumed his name was mine. On top of that I decided to get a haircut from another barber in the shop. Akrim I think his name was, he didn't know too much and just asked if I wanted it short, medium or long. I asked for medium-long he gave me a short haircut. And then he decided to shape up my hairline and sides, i don't know if he's just new to cutting hair or something but my hairline is not even anymore and it's pushed back even further. HiEndTight is a great barbershop! I don't live in Tucson but make the trip to this shop. Haythm is an awesome barber who takes his time and ensures you are very satisfied with his work. When I first went I simply showed him a photo. He said no problem. Been coming to this shop for 5 years now. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment. Started going here because my ex told me about it. He goes to see Mike and has for years and has never had a complaint. I've been taking my kids here for a while now too, we've seen Felicia and Mike and they're both amazing. I recommend this place to everyone. Tucson is a barber meca with so many talented barbers but this place is terrible. I came here and wanted a simple haircut and the dude didn't even know how to do a simple fade. To make matters worse, this dude didn't know how properly blend and he absolutely didn't know how to line up a beard. What a waste of my time and money. Take your business elsewhere cuz this place aint worth it. I wish I could give less than one star. I used to come here for years and slowly it has been going down hill. Recently went in for a fresh fade before the holidays and wanted a quarter inch off the top - just to rid of my split ends - and this dude took off OVER 2 INCHES off the top. I asked for a 2 on the sides and skin about half way down and it was waaaay shorter than a 2. This has by far been the worst hair cut I've ever gotten in my life! I am baffled by the fact you can mix up a ¼ inch with over 2 inches. It went from being under my nose when I had my hair down to now above my eyebrows! And when I style it to the side it doesn't look right, it's all equal length and every time I've had my hair cut in this style it has always like slowly tapered in length with the front most of my hair being longer and gradually gets shorter as it goes back. My hair is absolutely horrendous now, and just to put the cherry on top, it's right before the holidays. So thanks for giving me a shitty hair cut for the holiday photos. As if this year wasn't shitty enough. read more

Nice people, but mediocre razor fade. A razor was used v.s only an electric shaver but it looked no different in this case. Face line up (box) was not even noticeable. Nothing here to really come back to but also nothing to hate either. The cut reminded me of one of those chain hair spots. read more

Since moving to Tucson six years ago I have been on the hunt for the perfect barbershop. I've tried the higher end salon type haircuts from places such as Gadabout and Toni & Guy. As well as some lower end generic traditional barbershops. However, none of these places have met my standards until I discovered HiEndTight. The barbers here can accommodate all of your needs from old style lather straight razor shaves to custom carved hair art. And they are great with kid's cuts too! Disappointed by customer service. Seeing the other reviews about HiEnd Tight, I was excited to come. I also checked out a few of the barber's Instagrams and the haircuts looked great! I walked in without an appointment and only waited for about 15 minutes which wasn't bad at all. I was seated in Haythm's chair and during my haircut, he answered the phone twice and had about a 10 minute conversation on one of the calls. Frankly it was flat out rude and disrespectful. When you are giving someone a haircut, that should be your main focus and it definitely put a huge damper on my experience. Another thing that irked me a little was that he shaved my hair aggressively and it was not a comfortable experience. I am disappointed because the shop is right in my neighborhood and it would have been a great fit. I hope to try HiEnd Tight another time with a different barber but I don't think I will be any time soon. read more

I go see Chris for a shave and cut. I've searched all over Tucson and no other shops compare to this one. The hot towel shave is the best in Tucson hands down. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Go in and sit down a little early and watch the game and have a soda. Reminds me of the Barber shops that my grampa took me to as a kid. The staff is very friendly. I went to HiEnd off the word of Yelp reviewers, and I will return *only* to HiEnd for haircuts for as long as I stay in Tucson. With my haircut for my upcoming wedding on the line, I was nervous to place that responsibility in the hands of a barber I'd never met. I'm very happy with the results. The entire experience was positive. First, and though this isn't exactly innovative, I was able to schedule an appointment with a barber of my choosing. The barbers even have Instagram sites, and you can look at their work before you go in. As I said before, though it isn't innovative, this sort of network access made the experience right from the beginning. Chris cut my hair with careful attention to detail. It didn't feel rushed. Sidenote: what I don't like about other barber shops is the overwhelming masculinity. I really can't stand going in to other shops and feeling like I have to bro-out. I didn't get that at HiEnd, and I really enjoy the relaxed feel of the shop. I trust Chris not only because of the excellent haircut and the efficient service, but also because he is a prosumer of sorts. He described the process of learning to build the cabinets in the shop (that display some memorabilia) from YouTube, and though some might scoff at such a thing, I felt just a little more trusting of Chris. Think of it this way: when you own your first house, one that you worked hard for in advance or went into debt to own, you treat it a lot better than that crappy apartment you rented as a college student. You might clean better, and surprisingly, get pissed when the floor gets scuffed. It's these extra details that make Chris's shop stand out. read more

I've been to this barber shop a few times and had good experiences but today was the worst barber experience that I've had. The lady on the left towards the back cut my hair and she was incredibly rude. I won't be coming back just because of her. I moved my leg and she stopped cutting my hair and told me if she was shaving me she would have cut my neck. My phone rang and she got annoyed and scoffed. She kept grabbing my head in an aggressive fashion and moving it. Just weird and uncomfortable. I think she enjoys the authority of having someone strapped into her chair. read more

I've been going to Mikey R since he was cutting it up back at the house with his pops. He is always pro, always rad and always makes you want to come back next time. Any style. No barriers. Keeps it on the edge. My guy gets asked a lot to join up with trendy hipster shops cuz he is known in the underground, but Mikey doesn't roll that way and prefers the tradition and respect that has to be earned in the barber industry. Not sure what took me so long to write this one. This is my current barbershop of choice and Chris is my barber. He is also the owner and usually the first person to greet you when you walk in. Why is he the best for me? You can schedule an appointment and he actually keeps them, usually to the minute. His shop carries all of the hard to find grooming products for discerning guys like me - beard wax, combs and hard to find clippers. They also have every culture and cut covered - you could be a brother from Australia, looking for an old school mullet and I would be they could cut up something that would make you think mullets were back in style. This is not your old school barber shop - not a lot of debates about sports and politics but it definitely does the trick if you need a great haircut at a good price and you don't have time to spend 2 hours waiting. read more

I came into 'Hi End Tight' for the first time two weeks ago. I had been slowly watching the rating in YELP go up and up. My handicapped brother needed a shave and beard trim. Robby did an amazing job on him. My brother said he felt comfortable and very relaxed. He said, he couldn't wait to come back. A couple of days ago, I made an online appointment with Irisa (who goes by code-name 'Chance') for my first visit ever. I wasn't sure what I was going to get or what I wanted to do? I asked Irisa to go ahead and do her magic. She did. I am so very impressed. Great service and value for an amazing haircut! I had not had my haircut so short in a very long time. It felt great, clean, and looked very dapper! Thank you Irisa! I will be back for more. While I took in my haircut, I could see that all of the barbers are very talented, and take a lot of pride in their craft. Incredible experience with Chris at this shop! Found them through Groupon and thought the deal sounded good: Haircut, mini facial, razor shave, etc. For the price I figured I couldn't go wrong. Chris was amazing. The haircut was perfect in every respect. How he managed to avoid my natural cowlicks in the back was nothing short of miraculous. I've had stylists who charge four times as much still butcher the back of my hair because of those. The highlight of the visit was the hot towel shave. Chris uses a gentle facial massage along with lightly scented cream and aftershave. I haven't been as relaxed as that in years! I honestly figured this would be a one off visit since I live across town from this shop, but no way. I've already booked my next appointment! read more

Moved from Orange County Ca - been in Tucson for a couple weeks and extremely relieved to discover an answer to a very important question that I posed to myself prior to my move. "Who the hell is going to cut my hair?" I'm one of those individuals that stick with the same barber for years. And I'm glad YELP directed my to Hi End Tight Barbershop. I've been a multi-unit retail manager for years overseeing the San Diego and Orange County markets and one thing that I focus on is the customer experience. When I visited Hi End Tight's website I was immediately impressed with the haircut appointment system in place. The customers get to pick the appointment time, the stylist and the type of service. Clearly way ahead of your average Barbershop and obviously geared toward customer convenience and workplace efficiency. This is why I wasn't surprised to see a very clean shop. It's obvious to me that management doesn't take any shortcuts when it comes to ensuring a phenomenal customer experience. The staff presented themselves well, very professional. Chris cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. The type of hair a have (a wild bush) requires a lot of skill and detail and I was extremely satisfied with the outcome. Chris even cleaned my sunglasses. They also carried my favorite pomade JS Sloane (very few places carries this brand). I was very impressed. I was relieved to find my new barber. I just came in last week for another haircut. I called in advance to let Chris know that I was going to be 15 minutes late. Chris again came through and accommodated the last minute change. I actually had him redo a bad haircut that I had a week ago (got a haircut while I was traveling) and I was extremely satisfied AGAIN.
