Wasn't impressed. Filled out the info online to get a quote and never got a response. So I called, a man answered and informed me that he was unsure if they'd be servicing Long Island but would call me back in 10 minutes. Well, not only did I not get a call back in 10 minutes but my call was never returned. I called twice since then and once it went to voicemail where the inbox was full so I couldn't leave a message. I gave it one more shot and no one picked up. I left a message since the voicemail wasn't full this time but no call back. Poor customer service to say the least. read more

Also, just a friendly reminder, please don't be scammed by ANOTHER wall company called ALL WEEK WALL, they offered to build a pressure wall for us and they apparently knew it's 100% not allowed/illegal in our apartment building, they charged me half of the payment as 'non refundable deposit' and had me signed the agreement before coming in. (Which is really weird I just realize one day wall only charges after the builders finish the wall). Tried to contact this wall company who scammed us, but the manager was so mean, super rude, and don't refund us, we don't know what to do. So be careful! Let me start off by saying that Vince was very communicative and was a pleasure to interact with the whole way. The day our build was supposed to happen the foreman came by and when I told him what the build was (included in my original quote) they immediately said my certified check was not for enough. I tried to call Vince and sort this out but he said there was nothing he could do. I immediately got a bad vibe and I knew these guys were doing something sketchy with adjusting the prices the day of the build. We had a 1 Day Wall installed in 2013 or 2014. The quality of construction was very good, and it looked like it belonged in the unit. This wall allowed us privacy in the unit while also making it affordable by sharing space with a roommate. The wall was a good investment considering it lasted for 3 years and allowed us to share the cost of a unit that would have been $2400/mo otherwise ($29,000 annually post-tax, equivalent to a $40,000 salary for housing alone!). We raised some concerns with the owner after having deconstructed it - some dry wall dust in the cracks of the floorboards and marks along the paint (remember it was a well-fitted wall). The owner was very responsive and helpful in restoring the unit close to its original condition. He values his reputation as the most reliable temporary wall contractor in the city. I highly recommend this company if you are looking at dividing a studio apartment. read more

I was not an easy customer for Vincent and his team, but they did a great job. I spoke to the 1/2 dozen well-rated temporary wall companies in NYC, did a thorough canvassing of their offerings, and determined that Vincent had the best price, the most flexible components to his offering, and the most responsive spec'ing. There was one other company that improved upon Vincent's service by sending out someone to specifically look at the space pre-bid, but by bringing enough supplies to adapt to our needs as the wall was installed, this pre-bid inspection wasn't necessary. So, what work did I get done - a seamless t-wall in an 11' tall space with two doors, 3' of plexiglass from ceiling down, two fans, and two closets of different dimensions. It wasn't an easy job. There were a few detail items that needed to be fixed afterwards and Vincent's team came to clean those up. There are two things I'd mention so you can evaluate if Vincent's team is right for you: 1) Let's be clear - you are not getting a permanent wall or components. Consequently, the real micro-detail work (trim, finishing around holes, and specific closet door knobs) are not things we spent worrying about. They all came out nicely, but I wasn't bothered by details and a lot of planning. If you want to get to that level of detail, I suggest you do a proper wall construction and detailing. 2) You need to be there during the wall installation and planning, as no matter what you spec'd (and I did a thorough one with a floor plan), you'll have anticipated things incorrectly and want it to change slightly. The way that this happened without creating too much trouble was that I was upfront with Vincent in advance about the variables I was considering. I did not spring things on him during the course of the actual job. So, in summary, if you want a great job done on a temporary wall that can be done in a day and might only need a week of lead-time, 1DayWall is the way to go. I know from experience. read more

When I called, I talked to Vinn, was very nice and understanding and did everything he can to help me get a wall in just a day. I got a brand new wall in my house, the day I called! How incredible is that ! Amir and Paul came to my house to build the wall were super polite and they said they'd be finished in three hours or so but they were able to finish in 2 !
