The staff Jason, Devin and Stacey had very poor communication and a lack of follow-through that created significant coordination difficulties and confusion throughout a process that should not have required nine months to finish. The company claimed work could not proceed without payment from the insurance provider, essentially forcing us to pay a deposit under the guise that the balance would be reconciled later. Despite providing us with written estimates, they ultimately disregarded those figures, retaining our deposits even after being paid by the insurance company while still attempting to collect additional money. The first call I made was to my insurance company USAA. They had no contacts listed for any restoration services in Kingman, so it was up to me to find one. I found Restoration1 listed on the internet, but they were based out of Lake Havasu City, AZ. I called them and had a representative on site within two hours. He surveyed the situation, call for assistance, and started working. Within a few hours, my once beautiful island was dismantled looking like a soggy moldy mess. They completely removed all the sheetrock, cabinets, sinks, granite tops and the leaking dishwasher. Completely sealed the area from floor to ceiling and turned on the blowers/dryers for the next three days. When they returned, they setup a temp kitchen sink, which was a huge help getting us back to "almost normal". They worked with the insurance company and keep them informed of everything taking place. (My USAA claims agent told me how pleased he was working with such a company and would put them at the top of the list for Mohave County restoration services.) It did take a couple of months to complete the project, however that was due to the workload of the cabinet maker. Once they installed the cabinets, the Restoration 1 crew came back and finished the job and it now looks just like before. I am extremely pleased with the workmanship they did and how they interacted with my family and the insurance company. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service. They came by, and it turns out tried to scam me massively for insurance, etc. I'm lucky to have caught it before signing anything. After this awful experience, I went back online to find a different mitigation company and found Life Savers. They came by at like 9:00 p.m. took a look and although I was extremely suspicious of anyone I would have spoken to after the first experience, Rudy really helped set my mind at ease and made the process incredibly easy all things considered. They stopped the damage, everything was done incredibly professionally and well within the expectations of my insurance company, and their professionalism and kindness shown through from start to finish of their services. We highly recommend this business to anyone in need of carpet cleaning. A little about our situation..My parents purchased a home in Kingman, AZ last week, it was "move-in ready" minus the gross carpets! According to their agent, the carpets would be clean prior to them moving in- but this wasn't the case. Someone did come out ( don't know who, it was through the real estate company) half-assed the job and made it so much worse. All the carpets in the 3 bedrooms and living room were visibly dirty, stiff, with pet hair all around the outlines of the rooms, and the whole house smelled like dog urine! It was awful, my dad considered tearing out the carpet or replacing it but the prices were high and the wait time ..ridiculous (4+ months for installation). Being new to the town and not knowing anyone to ask for recommendations , they checked on Yelp and found Tri-State Chem-Dry. I reached out and got a hold of Kevin, I explained the situation and was able to schedule an appointment for this past Wednesday. In our case, we were not quoted over the phone because it is difficult to know how bad the carpets actually were. On the day of the appointment, he showed up on time and ready to asses the damage. Turns out we were right, It was bad but not enough to replace the carpet - saved my parents so much money! He quoted my parents prior to doing any work and was very informative about the process.
