I brought my car in because I had snapped a bolt in my subframe while replacing the control arm and didn't have the tools to fix the mistake myself. I needed the car same day, and this was the only place with availability. I asked them to replace the control arm and do the alignment for me along with removing the bolt. I received a quote for $1400 dollars to drop the subframe. The worker there had justified his decision citing the gas lines, wires were in the way, etc. He mentioned that this pricing was worst case scenario, if the "professional mechanics" snaps the other 6 bolts. Never heard of anyone quoting on the bases of every bolt snapping and charging an hour of labor per bolt. I took the car to Sweet's Auto, and they finished the job in 4 hours. Control Arm, Alignment, and Bolt. They charged $400 for the same job. $1000 difference in pricing in excusable. Take your vehicle somewhere else, I wouldn't trust these guys.

I did have a few problems with the Bill. I was excessively charged for synthetic ATF fluid. I gave them 3 gallons of my own to use. Service mangers reluctantly gave me a refund. He was NOT very happy.

The transmission failed shortly after they rebuilt it. They reluctantly "repaired" it under warranty but after getting truck back it didn't shift properly. Brought it back again and they said they couldn't figure it out. And that I should take it to a Chevy dealer? After taking to Chevy dealer they diagnosed that Freds had repaired with an incorrect part. I paid the Chevy dealer for the diagnostic work. Freds made a huge deal at that point about reimbursement of the $75. Then the transmission fails again one month out of warranty. Had the transmission re-rebuilt again by another shop @ that point and it lasted 10 plus years.

The ignorant receptionist proceeds to tell me, there is a transmission issue. (Well No shit sherlock). She goes on to tell me they did the diagnostic test but they dont know what is causing it and would need to most likely do a rebuild on the tranny orrrr . . . we can drive it the way it is. So let me get this straight, you dont know whats wrong with it, but it needs rebuilt? They still wanted to charge me the $120 diagnostic fee to tell me what I already knew. They admitted they did a "reset" on my vehicle which is considered "unauthorized work" as I did not grant them permission to do so. It is NOT necessary to do a reset to run a diagnostic test. They knew they were wrong, after they tried to belittle my wife and I, I walked out paying nothing. They did not want to provide an itemized list of what their diog consisted of because the list would have said: checked tranny fluid and test drive. Horrible customer service. They say I was rude and used profanities. (I did) Well, thats what most people will do when you try to rob them of their hard earned money. Stay Away From These Nickle and Dime Con Artist !
