I would leave 0 stars if that were possible. I bought my vehicle in 2019, I have brought it to C…read moreWimberly for every oil change I have had since my purchase. The past two visits have not been good. 2 oil changes ago I was driving home after and kept hearing a noise coming from my vehicle that was not usual and sounds like something was dragging from my vehicle and would get louder when I would turn. Turns out the plastic shield that covers the undercarriage was not connected or secured was dragging on the ground and had been since I left that day. When I figured out what was going on I tried to call but they close at 2 on Sat and everyone was gone. When I did get in touch with someone, they were not very helpful in correcting the situation but eventually came to a resolution but not a great one which wound up costing me over $100.00. Back in Jan I brought my vehicle in again for an oil change. I did splurge and got some engine rejuvenation package. They got done with my vehicle and I got in to get my car wash and go home. While waiting in line for the wash I noticed my heat was blowing cold air (was hot on my way there) I decided to get out of line and go back in and let them know what was going on. I found someone and brought my vehicle back inside. A technician looked at the coolant and said it was empty. They kept asking where all the coolant went, I told them that I do not know since they were the ones in possession of my vehicle the whole time. The technician then added some but not much. Said my vehicle was blowing warm air (barely) They said it was fine and I could go. I drove home with the barely warm air. Monday I drove to work and as I was almost there I had a warning pop up that my engine was over heating (this has never happened before). I decided to leave my vehicle at my job since I did not feel safe to drive it back home. I reached out to C Wimberly that day and was told that I could drive all the way up to them and they would check it out. (not driving it) They said that nothing that was done to my vehicle that would cause this issue. I tried to call back later to another person about my warranty, called him again Tuesday, I have yet to hear from him. I had my vehicle towed to my mechanic to check it out. Turns out I need a new engine. Huh, not sure how my vehicle was perfectly fine prior to my oil change and now I need a new engine. Updated* I was finally able to have my engine replaced and a total on all the expenditures associated with it. I contacted the service manager again in May and when he finally called back and I was hoping they might take some responsibility for the lack of effort put into figuring out what happened to the coolant in my vehicle leading to the engine blowing. I was just told it was my fault and I should have watched my gauges. The issue my vehicle had was easily found (by someone that is not a mechanic) and had this issue been found prior to me leaving their facility I would not have had a blown engine. I will NEVER go back there again.

My step brother told me he only casually knows the owner, Jim Manwarren, but hasn't heard any negative about his reputation as a used car dealer. So, I figured if I have to buy a car from a used car dealer at least I know a lot of the same people as Jim Manwarren and maybe I will actually get a fair deal! I bought a Chevy Trailblazer from the owner Jim Manwarren in November, 2018. He told me it was a "good runner" and "AS FAR AS HE KNEW was in great shape !" Jim told me he had just had THE WHEEL BEARINGS (plural!) replaced on the front end by an area mechanic that I have also done business with for years. LITERALLY 10 minutes after I bought the car and drove it off the lot the CHECK ENGINE SOON light came on. Then I took it to Belle Tire for a front end alignment and they told me THE FRONT END BALL JOINTS WERE ALL BAD AND THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE! Belle Tire quoted me $800 - $1000 to fix the car!!! I went to a different mechanic, who I trust, and he told me basically the same thing, although quoted me a slightly lower price and said the driver side wheel bearing was completely shot and the passenger side could wait to be replaced a little while. This mechanic is also the same person who WORKED ON THE CAR I BOUGHT FROM JIM MANWARREN AT M-51 AUTO SALES ! This mechanic put new tie-rods on my car at the request of Jim at M-51 AUTO SALES prior to Jim putting the car for sale out on his sales lot. Jim also had the mechanic repair THE WHEEL BEARINGS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ONLY of the vehicle! NOBODY FIXES JUST ONE SIDE OF THE CARS' WHEEL BEARINGS! It's like putting new brake pads on, when you do one side you automatically do both! If on side is worn, so is the other. SAME FOR WHEEL BEARINGS! I called Jim 4 times and told him what was going on with the car he had just sold me. He basically blew smoke up my a$$ and I finally came right out and told him that I believe he knew about the expensive repairs the car needed and he hid this information from me just to make a sale. I asked him to help me cover the cost of the repairs just to make the car driveable. Jim Manwarren said he would call the mechanic who looked at the car and Jim promised to get back to me, that was 7 days ago and Jim has not gotten back to me. I guess I just got TOOK! I STRONGLY BELIEVE, IN MY OPINION, THAT JIM at M-51 AUTO SALES KNEW the ball joints were shot and would have to be replaced at additional cost (eating into his profit margin) so he told the mechanic NOT TO REPAIR THE WHEEL BEARING ON THE DRIVER SIDE! I have no proof of this, but when my/and Jims' mechanic looked at the car 3 days after I bought it from M-51 AUTO SALES he remembered working on it and within 30 seconds told me it needs new ball joints on both sides and wheel bearings on the drivers side. I needed a vehicle for work and I trusted Jim at M-51 AUTO SALES, and now it's going to cost me close to $1000 just to make it SAFE TO DRIVE! And this is for the repairs that I know it needs as of now! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Even though any basic search on Kia engine issues. (I only found out after I purchased a Kia) shows all sorts of engine issues, failures, and fires. The service department seems to want its customers to believe that these Kia engines are great and does not impact your car, even if you have identical indicators to their numerous engine failures. Common Engine Failures & Complaints * Engine replacement due to internal failure: Multiple owners reported engines needing full replacement after knocking noises or sudden loss of power. * Oil consumption & sudden shutdown: Instances where the engine stopped while driving due to low oil or internal wear. * Rod bearing/KSDS issues: Complaints describe rod bearing wear associated with the Knock Sensor Detection System recall, though some customers say the recall did not prevent engine failure. * Check engine and limp mode symptoms: Owners reported limp mode, abnormal noises, and power loss prior to major failures.

I then sent an email asking if the vehicle was still available, and if it wasn't let me know. No reply. Sent another email asking about the vehicle, no answer. When Katie finally did get back to me after my fourth request of info, she said it was okay to come in and see the vehicle and test drive. I then got an email from Glenn, the salesperson who said the vehicle is in the shop and not ready (early afternoon). At the end of the day, having set up a time to go in the next day to see the vehicle, I get a text from Katie saying not to come in the next day as the vehicle will still be in the shop. When I had inquired as to why it was in the shop, got no answer. Obviously, a lot wrong with this vehicle they aren't disclosing but asking a premium price for. Wonder why a dealer would advertise a car as being available for sale when it has to be in the shop for days.

It took them over a week to fix (it's a 3 hours job). The alignment was botched and the steering wheel was not straight when it was returned to me. When I called them back to correct the issue, the service advisor informed me I can certainly bring the truck back... but they intend to KEEP the truck until my previous bill was paid by my warranty company. Shocked, I called the warranty company to see what was going on. They told me the dealer would not accept their payment due to having to run it through through a credit card service (100% of 3rd party warranties do this with 0 problems at other dealers). Apparently, Tyler did not want to pay the 3% fee for the transaction. Why this was not added to the cost (to me) I will never know. But Tyler would not accept payment and told me they would KEEP my truck until I PAID the full bill (I had already paid the deductible upon completion of the service that day). I wrote to the Service Manager with this problem, hoping to find a solution that worked for everyone. No reply. I emailed the General Manager. No reply.
