Excellent service! Highly recommend! Eric completed a couple of plumbing jobs for me. The first job was adding a water pressure regulator onto the incoming water line to the house. The second job was reworking my old-house laundry drain pipe configuration for the new washing machine (which was often overflowing on the rinse and wash cycles, but no more!). Ahh, what can I say about Eric & 1st Choice Plumbing? We've been using his business for years, from the small (stuck toilet) to larger jobs as well. Most recently we needed to jerry-rig a catch basin for our washing machine. Problem is, the previous owner's contractor permanently attached it to the floor incorrectly. Eric came in and tried one solution, but when it became obvious the following day that it wasn't working, he came back and fixed it again for free. He always arrives with a smile, is very patient and quite talented in coming up with solutions which will work and save money in the long run. Eric and Dave completed a project that included installation of Restoration Hardware fixtures including a brass shower valve, stem and tip toe, two wide spread bathroom sinks, repair of a hallway sink for me and did an excellent job. By this I mean Eric made sure time was spent to do the job right. And, when the shower bar attached to the shower head required adjustment, there was no charge for the follow-up. The tip-toe as well as options to deal with flow were addressed and, I know Eric took time off site to obtain hardware to help get the job done. I just moved into a new home (new to me but 54 years old), First night the master shower drain stopped up. Per the great YELP reviews I contacted Eric. Eric came out and cleared the drain and also connected the water line to the refrigerator and dishwasher as well as install a drain and gas valve for the washer/dryer. Today Eric stopped by because the toilet in the guest bath was leaking from the seal. Eric could find nothing wrong and explained to me why the leak happened at the time. This is my second review for 1st Choice Plumbing. Our guest bathroom tub draining has been very slow and over the past few weeks, it started to drain even slower almost to a point that a half-full tub would take 3 hours! Eric and Rick from 1st Choice plumbing came out and attempted unclogging the drain with the snake. It was unsuccessful and Eric determined that the 'trap' in the pipe might be clogged. Replacing the trap was a bigger job that involved going underneath the house via subfloor crawlspace. Eric did a great job cutting the galvanized pipe and the trap and replaced it with plastic trap and pipe. The pipe was clogged almost completely with years of rust. The bathtub drains in seconds now. Thank goodness for 1st Choice Plumbing and Rooter! My fiancé found a leak under our kitchen sink which already soaked up out kitchen rug. After placing a bucket underneath to catch the leaking water, I called around several plumbing services in my area. After calling 4 different places, Eric was the only one who could address my dilemma immediately. Some of the other places didn't even call me back! Eric came with a colleague and they provided me a free consultation and estimate before I committed to their services. Since they were already here, I had them look at a toilet which was seeping water and waste around the base of the toilet. They diligently removed the toilet to see what the issue was and cleaned the area, leaving me with what looked like to be a brand new toilet! I won't get into the details of how gross this deed was (because trust me, it was gross), but 1st Choice Plumbing and Rooter did it with a smile! For both the toilet and kitchen sink issues, they had all the parts and got the jobs done quickly! Plumbers - the things they've got to deal with! My nephew clogged up my toilet with his big poop. I keep telling him to drink plenty of water and eat fiber-rich food but instead, chooses to drink soda and eat candy everyday. Anyway, it's a little weird because the other toilet and two other bathtubs also got clogged. I started using the plunger to clear the clog but all it did was push some poop out of the bathtub drain. I said to myself that this is not something I would want to deal with. I called 1st Choice Plumbing. He showed up on time. He checked it out and explained the the blockage on the main line was being caused by heavy tree roots. I guess this is quite common and usually requires clean-out every couple of years. I guess it wasn't my nephew's poop after all. 1st Choice's price was $99 but I was able to take advantage of the $33 voucher offered through Yelp so I only paid $66. Though I only dealt with Eric (the plumber) over the phone, he thoroughly explained what the issue was, what it was going to cost, and what my options were before he started the work. My shower and kitchen sink have not been draining properly lately. I have been doing some simple DIY work to keep them draining properly. Unfortunately, my shower decided to clog completely today. Since I'm not a fan of standing in inches of filthy water as I bathe, I sought help from someone local to me and well reviewed. I was extremely pleased with their service! I'm reviewing a plumber? Why yes I am..... I really didn't expect much from a plumber. I've been victim to some opportunistic plumbers. When you have water running all over the place and it's the end of the day, what are you going to do? You get gouged... you bend over and take it. These guys are priced a little higher than some of its competitors, but I was willing to try them since they were willing to come sooner than everyone else that quoted a four hour window at the end of the day. (First sign of decent service). Then when they arrived, they went straight to work and were very clear on what they thought was problem. What they told me made sense. (Second sign of good service) They did the best they could and said, "if it continues to give you a problem, give us a call." (darn... I'm going to drown.) The next day, the problem didn't seem solved so I called them back. They responded almost immediately, came right out, took another look, and yielded different results. They fixed the issue.... and they didn't give me another bill for the second visit. (Wow...mind blown). read more

My home is in escrow. The inspection report said I needed a certified licensed plumber to come out and assess a possible leaky sink drain and to re grout a few tiles in the shower. 1st Choice does it again!!!! During renovation of my master bath I discovered a crack in the vent pipe of the shower drain. Eric was quick to diagnose the problem and quote the job. Eric showed up on time and got straight to work. It wasn't the easiest of jobs as they had to jack hammer through my foundation to get to the root of the problem. Once through there was even more trouble below the foundation as the old cast iron pipes had pretty much rusted completely through. Eric and his team was able to replace all the bad drain pipes with modern ABS to ensure this problem would never return. I can't speak highly enough about Eric, his team and 1st Choice Plumbing. Eric and Ric are first class plumbers! I have used them twice. The first time was to snake out the drain in my lawn, before El nino arrived! They did this quickly and efficiently for a good price. The second time was to give an estimate for a problem with our downstairs toilet which had been installed after we got new flooring. The wax ring became compromised and we had a slow leak that was creeping up the wall from under the floor boards. Next time I would not have the flooring people install the toilet!! Eric gave an estimate for re-installation, too. When we were ready to put the toilet back, I called Eric. The day to re-install Eric and Ric called me because they were going to be EARLY!!! They came in did the work, including a little extra trick they know to not have more problems with loose bolts further down the road, and were out in short order. What I have now is a professionally installed toilet that I do not anticipate any problems with! Important to also note: they were true to their estimate. I was really impressed by their work, so after that I called them whenever I needed any plumbing work done. A week ago the same bathroom tub faucet started to leak again. I called 1st Choice Plumbing, They showed up on time the following day and replaced the cartridge with a new unit. I offered to pay for their time, but they refused to take any money as they considered the work to be covered by their one year parts and labor warranty.
