I've been here a couple times because it always seems to have open appointments... well unfortunately dont believe them. I had a 1:15 "appointment" which I got there at 1 then after waiting 2 hours until 3pm (mind you it was busy so I do understand) I asked where I was in line. Appointments don't mean actual appointments at this clinic. It's just a time you check in. There was also a ton of parents that come in with sick kids and they were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. I don't think that's ethical- so I did say something to the front desk. I was prescribed the wrong medicine and after calling back to get the right medicine, they asked me to come back for another visit rather than just prescribing it. I have tonsillitis every year my life and normally I get antibiotics but this time they gave me a steroid that didn't work. read more

My husband and I waited in line for two hours on Christmas Eve 2021 when it was 25º out. My issue is not that there was a wait, but that there was no system for the wait. There should be a plan for when the weather is bad or really cold out. The staff could have taken numbers from the start and asked people to wait in the cars until they were called. Instead, if we weren't already sick, we definitely were after standing outside in the cold for that period of time. The lady in front of us waited outside with a 6yr old and an infant in a carrier. By the time we got inside, we were told they were at capacity. I'm not sure if that was from number of people in the building or if they'd run out of tests, but again, logistically things should be managed better. We ended up going to another urgent care that also had a two hour wait, but they took our numbers and said we had 15 mins from the call to get back there or we would lose our spot. That one managed our expectations and at least didn't make us sicker by having us wait in the coldest weather this week! read more

The only good thing about feeling sick is having Beaumont Urgent Care just around the corner. Yesterday, June 20, 2023, my husband, Marv Petuch, went in for a blood pressure check which was kindly provided at no cost. The facility which had done it earlier in the day had apparently not done it correctly as it was very high. He was greatly relieved to see the most current reading. I work in a barbershop down the street from this clinic and I had cut my hand pretty badly during a haircut and I came here to see if I needed stitches or anything and they were very caring and gentle during my appointment I explained to the lady who gave me my tetanus shot that I don't do well with needles and she helped me to relax and talked me through the entire process and checked multiple times to make sure I was doing ok and the lady who bandaged my hand up was also very nice both of them had great personalities which helped me to calm down and feel more comfortable during my appointment and I would like to say thank you to those ladies that helped me and the girls at the front desk were also very helpful so thank you to them as well read more

Today I went in for the 2nd time this week, the first time was a pleasant and easy experience. The woman at the front desk was wonderful. The nurse and gentleman who did my tests were absolutely delightful and kind. However, I waited for 2 hours to be seen, with an appointment made. The doctor who saw me, Jonathan King, had absolutely no bedside manner. He seemed to have no empathy, was very dismissive of how I was feeling, seemed irritated that I was even there and especially irritated that I wanted to ask questions. I do not believe his diagnosis to be correct either. He sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and I corrected him, he said he would fix it. He didn't. I called back and they assured me it was sent to the right one, it was not. I had to wait at the pharmacy for it to be fixed. I wasted about 3 1/2 hours of my day for nothing. read more

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, I sought medical care at the Urgent Care at 13 and Woodward in Royal Oak, Michigan. The facility was clean and I was seen and treated in a timely fashion. From dear Fatima at the front desk to Selena, the RN who took my vital signs to kind and competent Dr. Jonathan King who treated me and made an accurate diagnosis regarding my symptoms I cannot say enough! We are so fortunate to have this facility on which to rely for urgent care. I was actually at my residence in 15 minutes after having been seen. The online check in process is one of the worst & does not work as intended. Nothing would upload and the receptionist was not helpful either. During the appointment, the staff told me I was all set however I did not even take the PCR test yet and I had to clarify. Then, the doctor and staff indicated I would get the result within a couple of hours. I called after 4 hours and again after 8 hours with no updates in my chart. I called the next day and received the result over the phone over 26+ hours later and the person promised to upload the results to my chart...they never did. The poor patient experience, service and lack of care of test results was horrible. I would not recommend going here at all. read more

The medical staff was fine, no concerns there. My rating is based on the idiotic check in procedure. I have to upload my insurance cards and ID...I was literally at the counter with 2 people sitting there working telling me I had to upload...now, all of my data is in mybeaumontchart, and THE EMPLOYEES WERE RIGHT THERE! I had to take my license, take a picture of it, follow the link, upload it so they could immediately say they got it. This is THE MOST 3-STOOGES system I have encountered!! It is supposed to make my experience easier, not frustrating, so fix it!! I almost just walked out because the process was so stupid! As a side note, if you are going to make me upload my insurance card you should make BCN send insurance cards for everyone covered on my plan so I actually have one to take a pic of and upload. read more

Awful. Appointment apparently aren't appointments? I saved my spot online for 10am and upon arrival, I was told those dont save your spot whatsoever. This makes no sense. Why would there even be time slots on the website? If I was unable to reserve a spot, I would have gotten here right when they opened so that I wouldn't be late for work. At the beaumont urgent care on 11 mile in Royal Oak, the appointments are acknowledged. They were full for today which is why I opted to visit Woodward Corners. I even received multiple confirmations from Beaumont that I had an appointment, both via email and Beaumont Mychart. It is clear that this office is misinterpreting the policy. read more

I'm really sorry to hear other negative reviews. If I was in the same spot, which I could easily be or have been before I got great health insurance in my mid-30s, I'd be feeling the same way. Now off my soapbox of American health care. I've had 3 great experiences here over the last two years. Today I injured my hand in a stupid gardening incident - in January. We called ahead, fully prepared to call others due to wait time in a pandemic. They said there was no wait - score! Got there, was seen with 15 minutes, vitals with 10 of that, and a doctor within 10 minutes of that. I was lucky, but I also feel like I'm weirdly bragging. The nurses were friendly and empathetic, Dr. Mehta (?) answered my many questions during and after my first and hopefully only stitches I'll get in my life. I'm not a fan of any waiting areas with the pandemic. That said, this place always feels clean, warmly modern and the back area is spacious and calming. All of which is ideal when you have a reason to go to an urgent care. read more

Completely unorganized, I went for a possible broken toe, they took an x-ray, I waited 2.5 hours after the x-ray, no one came in to explain why it was taking so long, I FINALLY ,after almost three hours, I put my shoe back on and walked to desk where the Dr. was sitting and told him I was leaving. Miraculously the report was just coming in to find ,thank goodness, no fracture. I just could not believe the incompetence, lack of caring and total disregard for patient care. If I could leave negative stars I would. I went with a suspected broken foot that I couldn't walk on it - terrible Pain and i was alone so l struggled terribly with a cane to walk from car to door - employee female was outside and said to me "wait here for me, there are two ahead of you" she didn't even look at me. I asked if I could sit down (by now her back was to me she was heading back inside) and she said "you can't come in, go sit in your car". I excruciatingly painfully slowly walked back to my car (wasn't that close) and LEFT!! I drove over to Berkley Urgent Care on Greenfield S of 12 Mile and I was able to go inside and l was seen almost immediately. They put me in a wheelchair right away. Xrays showed displaced fracture 2nd metatarsal...it will require a boot/cast and possibly surgery and I was given a scrip for a boot until I can get in to ortho for reset etc plus two shots for pain and swelling and they wrapped it. Two employees got me to my car with wheelchair (left foot thank goodness) Bottom line: DO NOT GO THERE!!! drive the extra 1.5 miles to Berkley. read more

I brought my wife here with an appointment for 11:30 AM. After arriving, my wife waited for 1 hour before being called in. She saw 3 people for less than 10 minutes each, with around 30 minutes inbetween each wait. The visit ended at almost 2 pm and the instructions were to go to the ER. First, this urgent care requires a credit card before they check you in. Now, knowing all the billing errors that doctors and hospitals and insurance companies have, the last thing we need is a doctor to have an open account to charge at will. Second, my wife went in and had a flu test, they don't know how to do it properly. It was painful and the techs need more training to do it properly. She has had the same test in other places, and it was never this painful. Third, though they say it is Beaumont, in reality, it is a different company that is profit driven and not part of the hospital system. It's clear the rise in urgent cares in the market has created a rush to profit from it. There's a wide variety of quality. Be careful about where you choose to go for care. read more

I wasn't sure about my insurance so I tried calling but after being on hold a while, it said no one was available to try again later. I tried the chat and no one responded either so I checked the website. It said it accepted it so we went. The place had like one patient. The girl at the desk wasn't busy so I'm confused why no one answered. She verbally asked some information and then basically added an appointment through their website so I received a text to register. By time I was done, she said they didn't take the insurance. What a waste of time. All my doctors are through Beaumont but the Urgent Care is ridiculous. read more

Came in yesterday for a pre-travel COVID swab. Registered with La 'Jhay at the desk. Needed to use their app for consultation too, but I was having trouble. La Jhay came out from behind her cubicle to where I was. She patiently and kindly helped me with the app. Was taken to the treatment area shortly thereafter. Angel took my history and VS. She was gentle, efficient and pleasant. Chanell Patel PAC gave a thorough explanation of the procedure after doing a focused H&P. Again, extremely pleasant. Quinton performed the swab seamlessly. It was easy and not uncomfortable. Results were sent to me via the app within less than two hours. I returned later for an official hard copy result that included their letterhead, signatures, and other information in a narrative format. Some places require this step. If I need another pre-travel test, or have a health issue that requires a UC, I will return here. read more

Absolutely horrendous service. Went for a COVID test and after the test left. My lab sample was then discarded because I did not see a physician when that was not made clear to me as a necessity to submit my sample to the lab. Consequently I did not receive my test results in my desired time frame and wasted my time. read more

This is a rating ONLY for COVID Testing in this facility, and the related process. NOT for any other urgent care services. When you make an appointment for COVID test, it's NOT really an appointment. Waited for 2hrs, as the test is treated as a low priority procedure, so they first take care all the urgent cases. I understand this part, but the issue is that none of this is communicated when booking, or when arriving there and checking-in. You receive a nice email thanking you for the appointment, that you should be there at your appointment time, and that the expected length of the visit is 10min. You get there, check-in, and you are told that you'd be called shortly. Throughout this process you are under the impression that this would be an in and out activity, not a 2hr endeavor, so a different expectation has been set. So my rating is regarding COVID testing and setting wrong expectations. Remember that this is an urgent care facility, and COVID testing is not an urgent need, so be prepared to potentially wait for hours...I wasn't. Beyond that, the PA was friendly. read more

I am giving this location one star as, twice in a row now, I have gone in to get a Covid test, each time around noon, just to be told they were done doing Covid testing for the day. My issue is not that they were done testing for the day, it is that, when you call, you cannot reach a person, there should be a sign they put up that says they are done Covid testing for the day and they have no ability to check what other locations are still doing testing for the day. If the customer tries to call another Beaumont Urgent Care to check if that office is still doing Covid testing that day, same problem with inability to get through to a person. This is completely inefficient and a overly burdensome situation for those seeking testing. Don't waste your time going here. read more

Took our 3 and 5 year olds here on a Friday evening and a couple Saturdays (total of three times) over the past six months for a strep test. They prescribed wrong doses which we didn't know until our pediatrician called to tell us. We are not doctors, so trusted the medical professionals. Unfortunately this was only after the third positive test and the third course of antibiotics. Parent advice - take your kids to their pediatrician, not here. And if you need a quick test done (on a weekend), confirm any treatment with the pediatrician. We will not be going back here. read more

Zero stars. No treatment or follow up after my visit, just a big bill. I went to the Beaumont Urgent Care Center in Woodward Corners at the end of December 2023. I thought I had Covid. I had a fever and a hacking cough. I was tested for Covid. No one followed up with me. A day later I got a message in MyCart that I did, in fact, have Covid. I called the urgent care center to ask for Paxlovid. Receptionist said someone would call me back. No one called back. I called again. Whoever answered said they would try to get the person who treated me. No one called back. I called again. Person who answered said they couldn't give me Paxlovid because they didn't know if my kidneys were functioning. No one had asked about my kidneys at the appointment. I asked why they hadn't taken blood to test my kidney function. They said they don't have the capability to draw blood. I was dumbstruck. An urgent care center can't even draw blood? Why did they take me as a patient if they couldn't treat my condition? I complained to Anita, the office manager, the following week. She said I was offered another medication, which I refused. I told her that wasn't true. I was offered nothing, even after I asked for treatment. Anita didn't call back. I called her back. She said apparently I hadn't been offered any treatment. I received a bill. Anita said she couldn't do anything about the lab bill but would waive the clinic bill. This is now May of 2024. I keep getting bills for the clinic visit. I called. Anita (no last name), said I wasn't getting bills. Today I got a bill and hand-delivered it to the clinic. The clinic is a farce. They are billing me for a condition they never attempted to treat. This is terrible medicine. I got sicker because I went to Beaumont Urgent Care at Woodward Corners. The experience was awful in the extreme. read more

Went urgent care yesterday for an upper respiratory infection because my doctor was out of town ,and was seen by Dr. James wood who refused to write a prescription for antibiotics. I wasn't looking for opoids, just antibiotics . I thought that when you see a doctor it's to get help not refused. I will never return to this establishment again. This center is using the BeaumontHospital name under contract. Before they see you they want your credit card on file so they can charge you what they want after your visit. My girlfriend went to this urgent care to get tested for COVID. She saw Dr. Thomas. Instead of offering her the test Dr. Thomas lectured her on why he doesn't feel she needs a test to the point she walked out crying. In the middle of a pandemic where we finally have enough testing, this doctor should be testing anyone that has exposure or symptoms rather than causing them to walk out crying without testing. Dr. Thomas needs to reevaluate his commitment or lack thereof to patient safety. If he wants to deny medical care to those that need it he should work for an insurance company. read more
