UPDATE: I found out that they post false/fake positive reviews. I NEVER received any compensation for the furniture ruined. Was ignored and dismissed. I hired 1st Class Moving June 2018 and was highly DISAPPOINTED. They were 3 hours late, and rushed through the job which resulted it a lot of damaged furniture. The crew was courteous, and assured me the company had insurance, and that I shouldn't worry about it. I wrote the insurance company (who made me feel as if I was in the wrong for even asking to be compensated), and finally 4 months later was issued a settlement letter in the sum of $120. The following was what was damaged/broken. * White Coffee Table - Multiple Scratches, dents, black marks * Black Decorative Mirror Frame - Mirror completely shattered * Two white end tables - Legs completely broken off * Dresser Drawer - Drawers cracked, scratch on the side. * Wood/Wicker Storage Chest - Side kicked/pushed in I provided pictures, and everything that was asked. I feel I was definitely scammed. The contract I signed even stated I was not to pay for travel time (duh, they were 3 hours late), and they tried to charge me for that anyway. I tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but really should have went with my gut, and cancelled it after they were an hour late. PLEASE BEWARE! If I could give these people a zero I would. My mom moved from Minnesota to Las Vegas and had been waiting for her things for more than 2 weeks which is beyond the timeline they quoted her. They contracted the business out to do the move. Somebody even called her from the moving company and asked if she knew where her items were when they weren't even there yet and she'd heard basically nothing from them after trying to call and ascertain where her items were in the moving process. As the truck arrived at my mother's new apartment the other night the driver said it was not big enough to get into the parking lot and he'd have to get a smaller truck. The driver also threw an emotional tantrum. A day later she still did not have her things because the driver then left with her items and is upset because my mother does not want to pay beyond what she was invoiced for and essentially the driver's mistakes. The next day she had to go retrieve her items that were being held hostage by the driver unless she paid an extra $200. She paid for a full service, door to door move and more than $2000 already at that point. Then she had to go get the items herself and move them anyway. While retrieving her items yesterday, she met another couple that had the same experience and were also there to retrieve their items being held hostage. The men who picked up her things were complaining the whole time about who was doing most of the work, and were extremely rough and careless with all of her boxes. It took a month for her boxes to arrive, and when they finally did, they were completely CRUSHED and the majority of her things were BROKEN, DAMAGED, OR DIDN'T MAKE IT THERE AT ALL. See the attached pictures for proof - and keep in mind, she bought brand new boxes so they were originally in perfect condition, and she bubble wrapped nearly EVERYTHING.. yet it still all came broken. This company is a nightmare and we are shocked they are still in business after seeing that so many other have experienced the same thing. Unfortunately, my mother only looked at the Google reviews where they have a 4.3 rating (out of 5) which is absolutely unbelievable. I think Google reviews are easy to get removed or something, whereas Yelp doesn't allow companies to remove bad reviews. DO NOT HIRE THEM. We were quoted $1,100 after they looked at the whole house to give an "accurate" quote. The crew they sent worked like snails. When they finished, the price became $2,900, and they wouldn't leave without the check. They broke so much stuff, gauged our 1 year old ping pong table, scratched the hutch and dining table, and worst of all broke most of my husband's mother's China. Right now I'm incredibly frustrated. I have been sleeping on an air mattress for nearly a month. While "technically" their delivery is not yet late, I start a new job in a few days and won't even have my household goods before I start. When I tried to call about when a possible delivery might be I keep getting told "a truck is going to leave in a few days". I just want to cry. Update: finally got my stuff. And unpacking in pieces since I had to start my new job before I could get everything unpacked and settled in. It is not even fun to unpack because so many boxes have broken items in them. Then they demand cash payment. I had to get police involved for return of my belongings. The police office said this was theft by swindle. But since my goods were finally returned after hours of arguing, no charges were filed. But they should have been. I won't even mention the extensive damage to goods and property which occurred BEFORE they demanded additional money. Extremely poor communication, wildly unprofessional, and several "extra" charges from quote. Absolutely not worth it - steer clear. Quote over phone with Zaki said it would likely be 3-5 days to ship to NYC and we discuss the constraints of my move. I shared all details upfront prior to booking the long distance move (I needed to be able to schedule the delivery/loading area in advance and confirm security clearance, and they needed to provide a certificate of insurance which is standard) and was told it would be no issue that they worked frequently in NYC. Upon confirming this, I shared all of these requirements in writing as well prior to pickup of my items. He also took an estimated inventory over the phone which I told him I was uncertain about. I was told it was fine and if I had less when they arrived (which I did) they'd adjust the quote accordingly since it was a rate per cubic foot (they did not). The day of the move, one mover didn't show to help with pickup at all and two others spent time waiting/trying to get a hold of him. Upon completion of pickup they said they'd call the next day to confirm shipping estimated time (which now suddenly could be 2-21 days depending on how they decided to transport) and final charges before running my card which did not happen. Also at pick several extra fees were tacked on for elevator use, long hallway, packing supplies that were not requested, etc. and they left a mess. I didn't hear from anyone for the next two weeks until I reached out, at which point I received a text message (on both Saturday and Monday) stating there was an estimated delivery date of Wednesday and that I'd be contacted by a driver (who's phone number was listed) to confirm the exact time. I went ahead and tentatively secured the loading facilities pending their paperwork. I never heard from anyone again. On Tuesday, I received a text message from a completely random number saying "Hi this is movers Delivery crew is 30 min away" I had still not received the insurance certificate at this point in order to secure loading area and security clearance, and was in the middle of a meeting at work. I reiterate the need to schedule in advance and that I've held the slot for the estimated date they provided. They confirm Wednesday now from 6-9pm. An hour later they say Wednesday doesn't work and I push back given the reservation had been made and there was limited availability at this point in the week. I'm told that it's fine in that case. The next day (Wednesday)I receive a message at 5pm that the drivers are 5 hours away and delivery wouldn't happen. They refuse repeatedly to provide options other than one 9am-12pm window now on Thursday which I had already explained several times at this point was unavailable while providing several other options. Whomever is texting me (I have no clue) insinuates I'm being difficult and I should just tell the building that because my shipment is small they should accommodate which I do not agree to. The dispatcher from pick up calls me later that evening and I explain my frustration and the issue - he says he'll get a confirmed time and call me back. Yet again no one follows up so Thursday afternoon I reach back out asking if there is a confirmed time and am told the movers are coming that evening (had I not reached out we'd have been in the same initial situation again with no reservation). Over the course of the next several hours I'm continuously texting back and forth to coordinate the updates paperwork that had still not been provided. I literally had to sit on the phone and go through line by line (even though instructions in writing direct from the building were shared weeks earlier before pick up happened and forwarded again - the final docs I received were essentially forged/marked up via PDF). I received the final docs 20 minutes before the delivery arrived then started receiving texts from a NEW phone number. The driver said they were at my location and sent a photo of the cross streets. They were not at the correct location. Thankfully he was only two blocks away so I reiterated the address. This happened two more times. It took another hour and several phone calls, eventually just going to find & walk him to the area for him to locate the building. It take less than 20 minutes to unload my items and several boxes (marked fragile) had clearly been tossed around. All in all this was a total nightmare, however until I secured my belongings I wanted to play nice. I looked into licenses and whatnot prior but should have looked much more closely at reviews. I WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone. I'd gladly pay double the amount next time for a reputable, professional service, especially if moving long distance. read more

I called 1st Class Moving about two weeks before my move-in date and was provided with what I thought to be a reasonable quote. I put down my deposit and scheduled the move. I hadn't read any reviews prior to booking, so I was very worried once I saw them. I figured I'd stick with them anyway since I'm an eternal optimist and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The day before the move, I received a call to confirm the timing. The dispatcher asked if I would be willing to take a time slot later in the day. I told him I could not. He said "no problem" and we kept the time as originally planned. The day of the move, I was concerned that they would be late (I had to work in the afternoon). To my delight, they called five minutes before they arrived, which was 30 minutes into the two hour window that was provided. The two gentlemen were polite, efficient, and listened well to the instructions I provided. I made sure they had access to water and restrooms at both houses and tipped them when everything was done. The entire thing took just 15 minutes longer than what I was quoted, which was great, considering I was a bit off on the original inventory list. From what I understand, the actual movers and trucks are contracted out, so there's no guarantee that you'll get a good crew. For this particular experience, I was very pleased and felt compelled to write a review to contrast some of the negative ones. The only note I have is that there were some marks on my walls (which were newly painted!!!!!), but no chunks taken out of the sheetrock, thankfully. Bottom line: Would recommend. read more

I had to drop it for awhile as I had a couple deaths in the family and was also having medical issues. It has been a year and I finally got a hold of Zack, who I talked to in the beginning when I booked them. He basically said it was too late and when I explained that I had been trying to get a hold of Sal without any response back he started yelling at me that I was trying to extort money from them when they stole from me as so many things did not arrive! None of my framed pictures made it here and half of my things were broken or damaged. I had purchased brand new moving boxes to pack and bubbled wrapped everything and they were all crushed. They assured me they wouldn't charge more than my quote and yet when my things arrived they charged me extra and would not unload my stuff unless I paid the extra. They estimated 3 hours for my move but took 6. Of our two movers one was wonderful, but the other smelled like alchol and was very reckless with our things. He also complined alot about his job which i found to be unprofessional. They damaged the sofa and the front door, as well as dropped multiple boxes. On top of this they hit my partners car with the truck (no damage thank God). Things initially started off well but when it came time to deliver my furniture they were trying to charge me an extra $400. I called a few times, getting the run around before finally getting to someone who was supposed to be helpful. The owner, Sal, is an overall horrible human being and a poor excuse for a business owner. He was extremely rude, berated me, accused me of trying to scam his business and bribe the drivers! Mind you, at this point he already has thousands of dollars from me... I'm not paying for extras after we have a signed contract for a specific amount. Plus when I finally got my things, dozens of the boxes were ripped open with my possessions falling out. My tv was damaged and there were furniture items that were broken or cracked by them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this moving company. They will tell you anything to gain your business and make promises they can't deliver. The foreman, Zaki promised free materials and stairs. Mikko in sales promised me no fuel surcharge and quoted a much lower quote than the actual. When I received the invoice I was charged for materials, stairs, and fuel. I spoke to the manager Sal and showed him the e-mail, with the quote stating "NO COST FOR FUEL SURCHARGE" and he said, "I don't know why they would promise you these things. I still need to charge you." I argued with him and he hung up on me, so unprofessional! When I booked the job they said they had a truck going to FL and would be delivered the following week. When I called to get a delivery date and time, they said my stuff was still sitting in the Mpls warehouse. I was irate and requested a refund. I paid in full, Zaki said there wouldn't be any surprise charges, and when I spoke to Sal, he said I had a balance due at the time of delivery. They are extremely unprofessional, unethical, and unreliable. I asked Sal (the manager) for corporates number and he refused to give it to me. This is the first company I have reported to BBB.....Let me save you the headache and DO NOT USE THEM! THIEVES!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!! My girlfriend and I recently moved houses and used 1st class moving. While moving I personally moved an antique cookie jar worth around $400 that was half full of quarter I have been saving. I placed the jar in the garage on our new workbench along side other items. We had to go back for a 2nd load after the initial load was done. I went back to the house with the three movers (Quentin, Jerry, not sure on third) to finish up. I stayed behind when they left at the old house to finish up some smaller items on my own as they left for the new house. It took me about 30 minutes to finish up and get back to the new house. By this point the movers had finished their items. I walked up to the empty truck in the driveway to pay tip each worker. Even though one of the workers (Jerry) spent a lot of his time standing around, smoking, and talking on his phone. Also he managed to get into two separate shouting matches with the other movers. After they left that evening as we were placing stuff in our new home I walked into the garage and noticed the antique jar full of money was gone. Mind you this weighs about 20lbs now with change. Being that this was glass and an antique I was very mindful of this items placement and why I moved it by myself. IT IS GONE! I come to find out one of the workers had come inside the home and started chatting with my girlfriend in the kitchen and asking for a bottle of water. I found that to be interesting because I had just given them five bottles of water within the previous hour or so. And it wasn't that hot out. She was being distracted, as I was still at our previous home, so she didn't walk outside. I have been in contact with Sal 1st class moving and have asked them how this will be solved. He has only stated that since nothing broke in the truck that they are not liable. They are not liable for their employees stealing your items during a move...it was said that Sal has spoke to his employees and they don't know what he is talking about. What a shocker! I have also filed a police report and will not stop until this is resolved. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you enjoy having your items be stolen. I booked these movers and paid a deposit. Two men in a very small rented truck arrived. They refused to wear masks or maintain any personal distance from me, the customer. They stood in my face and when I stepped back, they advanced. After they said hello, I asked them to wear masks and said I would provide them. The driver (never named himself) said "if you want masks, hire a different mover, lady. Good luck getting your deposit back! I wanted to ride my motorcycle today, anyway," and drove away, leaving me and my family stranded on moving day. I called, texted, and emailed his company, but no responses from anyone--I suspect there is no real company, just these 2 guys in a too-small rented truck. Forcing customers to deal with retail businesses without masks violates the current state mandate. I have a son with MS and we need to be extra vigilant. Countless broken items poorly cared for and when I e-mailed them to let them know that I was upset - not asking for anything mind you - all I got back was a e-mail blaming ME and telling me they will be sending me another bill because they feel that what they were not compensated enough for what they did because THEY were 6 hours late picking up my things he had to pay his employees overtime! I had a great experience with 1st Class Moving! They were absolutely terrific! They sent 4 men (which they had said they would send 2) and this made the moving process even faster! They did not charge me anything more than what they said. They did not have any extra hidden fees, they moved everything carefully, and even took my clothes that I packed in Garbage bags and placed them in their wardrobe boxes (which a lot of moving companies do not take anything in garbage bags). They had horrible service. I had scheduled a pick up for a certain day. At around 4:30 pm on that day, I got a call from their driver saying they would be late. They ended up never showing up. We had a confirmed appointment on 6/24 for moving from 1-3pm. Quoted estimate for 4 hours was $540. After numerous calls to the number listed, at 3:42pm on 6/24 we received a call saying the movers would be there in 2 hours. At 7:33pm they finally arrived 6.5 hours late. We were told blankets and equipment were included, we were not told that it would be extra to tape them. There were 3 movers initially, but once we told them we wanted our items taped one walked off the job. The list of negative events that occurred from the time the move started are as follows: - Items that were damaged due to them not being covered and taped properly are cabinet legs broken due to it being dragged and tilted on 2 of the legs, end table was shattered & is unusable, headboard stain is stripped and damaged, sofa leather is ripped, love seat bottom is ripped, mattress is messed up from being bent and tied down (wasn't necessary), damage to walls that we just had painted. - Manager was taking personal calls and answering texts - Manager forgot the screws to the bed so we had to go back to get them - Manager was on the phone loudly arguing with his supervisor outside of our home at 2:40am After completing the move, the manager came to us for signatures for payment confirmation. We told him we were disputing the charges because they were 6.5 hours late, it cost us out of pocket expenses due to them being late, the job took double the amount of time that was estimated for only a 3 room job (only big items, no boxes and no appliances) and we had damaged property. We asked the supervisor, Sal, how he was going to remedy this and he told us he wasn't doing anything about it and we would have to file a claim. We told him that was unacceptable and that we would come to the office 6/25 to discuss payment. He repeatedly said no and we would have to pay in full. We said no. Manager told him to call us on our phone and the workers left. We never received a call and our account was charged. We had several estimates & all said 4 hrs. read more

Worst moving experience I have ever had! I took half the day off to make sure I could be available for the time slot they gave me which was 11-3. By 3 nobody had shown up. I called to ask when someone would be coming and they informed me they didn't know if they could move me because there was rain and if I could move the following day. We told them We had to move out that day due to my lease ending. At 3:30 pm they said someone would be on there way in 15 minutes. By 5PM nobody had showed up! I took half the day off for no reason, as did my significant other. Management kept insisting for an hour and a half the movers left to our home "15 minutes ago" even though we lived less than 2 miles from their location. When I expressed how unhappy I was with the manager he told me he would cancel my move all together. The customer service and LYING and Waste of my time was terrible. It seems they are very disorganized and forgot to schedule our move and then blamed it on some light rain and wouldn't offer us a discount and instead threatened to cancel the move. They did offered to upgrade my moving truck... to a "brand new truck" which I didn't care about as it didn't cover the PTO I had to take from that day. I did the online quote systems only to receive numerous calls from brokers, and big brand name Van Lines companies. I needed someone who was willing to deal with my move. When I discovered Zaki, part owner of 1st Class Moving I described my situation that I need to make international flights. I could not risk mistakes; I actually did an inventory twice, reconciled my notes and choose 1st Class Moving. 1,200 miles later, delivery was on time. And the experience = perfect. read more

I would give negative if there is any option in this review page! They over charged me 750 dollar more than the signed contract price when they started to move my staffs. I should have read the contract carefully before I went with them! They can break the contract easily because the contract said the price is only ESTIMATED. After they come to my place and moved everything to their truck, they told me the estimation was not correct. I asked how can that be as I did not add anything on it. They told me my staffs needs more space and it is on the contract they can over charge me. They just estimated the size by looking at them without using any tools and asked me 400 dollar more. You cannot refuse to pay this money after you booked plane tickets and hotels for your family members. This is not the end yet! It took more than 3 weeks to ship my staffs to the new place. Before they load them, they then tell you the truck cannot get into the city because it is too big, then you need to pay 350 dollar more by transferring your staffs into a small truck ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT again!!! The WORST experience. Take the negative reviews VERY seriously or you will be looking to buy all new furniture. The movers were constantly on their phones and I had to remind them they are on a time clock. Did not wrap anything - dragging the mattresses across the street, shredding the entire back of my couch, dropping my dresser, breaking a barstool, breaking off door handles and scratching walls just to name a few. It was like a bull in a china cabinet with this move. I have never seen anything like it. And then when you go to submit a claim for all the damage, it is nominal at $.60/pound and it's like chasing your tail to even receive the minimal reimbursement check! Outrageous. This business - or lack thereof- should honestly be shut down! Thankfully, I went with 2 Men & a Truck with the next move and had a wonderful experience. This company has HORRIBLE customer service!!! All I wanted was an estimate and it was very high, so I asked her to break it down for me and explain the charges... all she could tell me was that it's because I live so away. I'm only moving 30 miles and am only 40 miles from thier office!! She couldn't even tell me how much it was for the actual labor cost, just kept telling me it probably wasn't good to go with their company!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I agree HORRIBLE company, stay away. Not recommended, as they lie about EVERYTHING and it will cost you. They lost 5 large boxes of ours, not to mention the damaged furniture. It has been 3 months and they have not attempted to find our boxes valued at $10,000 in contents. We were on the road traveling to our new residence and had to wire them ANOTHER $3,000.00 ( in addition to the $2600.00 we already paid them and $1192.00 cash due at delivery) or they wouldn't put our household goods on a truck. Comments in previous persons reviews K.H.and Daniel P. are correct and much like our experience. No cost for fuel surcharge and they also subtracted $125 coupon special on the binding contract to obtain our business which we never received. After being hung up on several times we can only come to the conclusion that indeed unprofessional and unethical. We also did BBB and Dept of Transportation complaint. read more

because there is no zero stars beware of them they charged tripe the estimate and they yell and threaten you on the phone. the movers will let you know that they could care less about the service since they can take as long as they want and we have to pay up. my estimate was for $600 at 4 hours. i budgeted for $1000 as i know it was estimate amount. i paid $1469. they did not assemble the beds as i already paid for 11 hours i was not going to pay them to frag their feet more. stay away from this company. i imagine the good reviews are written by stakeholders of 1st class. trust me beware. read more
