Raspberry almond apple cheesecake was amazing!! So fresh and flavorful!

The staff was so attentive and helped us solve our hunger before a concert with amazingly delicious food! They called back almost instantly too! The halibut was so healthy, flavorful, and light and the dessert was perfect!

The food is great here. We come back every summer. Staff is friendly and the chef is great. Creative menu and craft cocktail menu keeps us coming back. Old charm of Chautauqua views located in bestor plaza square. We have had lots of things on menu and haven't had anything I haven't liked. Brussels and naan appetizers was delicious too.

YES!!! Chautauqua has a bar, and not just a bar- practically a speak easy it's so awesome (just not hidden) :) "Good fences make great neighbors" drink is superb, I literally want to go everyday it's that good. Tastes like a beautifully concocted, savvy savory drink that you can't stop at just one. Bar tender is a magician! Live music, tonight it was jazz and they were great as well. Front room opens up for standing room or their are more tables on second level to look out over the park plaza.

Our server Danny was the bomb! It's a big deal that I'm writing this months after being here and I still remember his name. This was our first time there and we had a photo shoot after so we needed quick and asked a ton of questions. Very us. I ended up getting the hot dog and Daniel got the Rueben. This hot dog was so dang good. There were a few sauces that were super spicy but oh so good and the pickled carrots! So many crazy flavors but they worked so well together. I very much enjoyed my meal and it was way different than what I was expecting. The Rueben was a win for Daniel as well. We also ordered a lemon drink and a hot chocolate. But good, Daniel ordered his hot and cold and they were both so unique and delicious. It almost tasted alcoholic but it wasn't. My hot chocolate was the most rich hot chocolate I've ever tasted. It was almost too much in the small much I got. I had to share otherwise I would have turned to chocolate. So tasty!!! Definitely a unique place with a ton of character and great staff. We so enjoyed our experience.

Half way through the succulent Depeche Mode cocktail - pink gin with hints of peach, vanilla and honey with just a kiss of lemon twist...

So I'm a few sips into my new favorite cocktail - The Depeche Mode - I'm expressing my "Devotion" to 2 Ames! This is the place to go for amazing cocktails, great food and one of the best chefs in the east - chef Danny has created the perfect environment for before, during and after - cocktails and cuisine you'll keep coming back for.

The Tap Room has long been a frequent stop of mine as it is one of the places where "everyone knows…read moremy name". I have not written a review for this eclectic, gem of a dive bar until now because I didn't want my review to be biased and based on the fact that I know the owners/operators and love them dearly. Things have changed for this watering hole recently, however, and it is worth writing about. The Tap Room has now incorporated food into their offerings to patrons beyond nuts, chips, and Tap Room Cheese & Crackers that are a staple at this joint. The grill is officially open and it is a must-try if you are in the area. The cook, Chad, is killing it. The burgers are phenomenal. Homemade patties with delicious seasonings done right. The options on the menu are packed with flavor and they have many to choose from. Be sure to try the TRB if you can handle the kick. My other half says it is one of the best burgers he has ever eaten, and he knows his burgers. The wings... they are served whole, as in not broken down into smaller pieces. By doing this, Chad preserves a lot of the natural juices and the end product is so tender you have to try them to understand. Order the "house" wings the first time you are there. They will blow you your mind. **UPDATE** The grill is no longer open at the Tap Room on a regular basis, but they still do food for special occasions (Bills games, Superbowl, etc.). If you are looking for a place to grab a quick libation on your travels, the full bar won't disappoint.

There is a public dock available just a couple hundred yards away from Tulip's. When we got there at about 11:30 on a Sunday the wait for a table was about 25 to 30 minutes. Plenty of room on the lawn out front to wait and even some outdoor games to play. We were called and seated at about 25 minutes; we had requested a table on the patio so my niece's dog could come along. Tulip's is located in a large Victorian house with a wrap around patio all overlooking the lake, the perfect place to relax and enjoy a summer brunch. Our server was great, friendly and helpful; orders are taken on a tablet and sent wirelessly to the kitchen. The menu has one side of breakfast items and the second side of lunch items. The food is slightly upscale without being overly fussy. There are some vegetarian items and others that can be made vegetarian by just leaving off the meat items. I ended up ordering the classic french toast, others at the table ordered sandwiches, corned beef hash, and omelets. Despite the restaurant being busy the food came out in about 10-15 minutes, all of the food being delivered by several servers; our server did check in to make sure that everything was delivered and that we were enjoying out food. Everyone enjoyed their food, portions were good, the food was well presented. My french toast was very good, carmalized on the outside custardy on the inside, slightly sweet and savory. It was presented with whipped butter and syrup. A nicely done classic and a great brunch. I would highly recommend Tulip's, a great place for breakfast and lunch. It seems like Chautauqua and Mayville have already figured it out and they are busy and doing well.

My wife and her friend had been the day before and wanted to take me back. My wife had the French toast, which she had had the day before, her friend had eggs, toast, and bacon, and I had the brunch madame. Let me warn you, if you order this, you will be a bit surprised when it arrives at your table. It is massive. But beyond being massive, it was perfectly toasty and cheesy on top with layers of ham and Bechemel inside, and it sat in a pool of glistening hollandaise sauce. Our server, Misty, laughed when I told her that it should come with a disclaimer, but it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten for breakfast. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes and a perfectly soft poached egg nestled on top. To top it all off, the coffee was divine. Misty told us it was from Erie Street coffee and they sell it at the restaurant. Note that if you're going to go here, they close at 2:30. But it's definitely worth the trip and we will definitely be back.
