    Balsamic chicken - dry

Waitress was super kind but the food was awful - mashed potatoes very bland, chicken breast dry - onion ring was good.

    Mussels...best damn mussels

Not our first time here, came back cuz we knew it was good. Sat at the bar because we like the interaction with the staff. Saw a number of things that sounded good on the menu. House made chips, Onion rings and French onion soup originally caught my eye. Saw the people behind us get the mussels. We love mussels if they're done right. So I asked them if they liked them. They said they were outstanding. Would not have ordered otherwise. This is out in the country, what do they know about cooking mussels? Obviously, everything. These were the best damn mussels I've ever had! I've had them at Sunset Grill, I've had them at bonefish Grill, I've tried to make them at home... I'd come back here tomorrow to get the muscles again. They were made in a butter garlic sauce and let me tell you, so good! We actually even thought about taking an order home. We didn't get served silverware and we ate them right out of the shell scooping up the sauce and then dipping the garlic bread they were served with. Besides that, we ordered the blue cheese burger. Got that with the onion rings. The burger was really good, as well. They had two decent IPA's on draft. Full bar and restaurant. Clean bathrooms. The parking lot was full. Restaurant and bar hopping, but I don't think anyone waited more than ten minutes. Go get the mussels! Did I say they were good? No, wait...they were great.

    black and blue burger, delicious!

Not gonna lie, we came here for the first time thinking it would be a little more upscale (I guess it was the name?). But, as soon as you walk in there are funny signs, Bills gear, and lots of camo, so we knew we had misjudged. Even though we were hoping for a mid-rare steak with some sort of bougie glaze, we were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and had a local wine. It was dry enough for us and pretty good. The wine choices weren't huge, but did the trick. Carla, the bartender was awesome and she and our fellow diners made the trip out there a top notch experience. We ordered the black and blue burger, mid rare. Let me tell you--it was the bougie bite we were hoping for! omg. The blue cheese was chosen perfectly--it melted and wasn't too bitter. The bun held it all together beautifully. But, the meat, woah. So freaking good. It had that nice char, juicy, cooked perfectly and just every bite had us ready for the next bite. I usually like fixin's and sauces but this burger didn't need a thing more than the perfectly seasoned meat, the cheese, and the bun. We'll be back for sure.

Yummy charred - nice and crispy. These were the Black Cherry Whiskey wings

For my drive back to Cleveland from skiing at Holiday Valley I was looking for a place along the…read moreroute to grab some fish and chips for dinner. Steener's Pub popped up and the reviews were good. Located in Bemus Point just a couple of miles from I 86 made for a convenient stop. Steener's is located a bit outside of the Bemus Point main drag, but there are a couple of other businesses nearby. The building looks modern from the outside, inside it looks like the original bar area has been there quite a while, they then added a dining room and later a second dining room. The decor is casual tavern style, lots of wood and mellow colors without much extra. The menu is a nice mix of typical bar food with a good selection of fish and seafood which makes sense for a place so near to Chautauqua Lake. Service was good, the waitress was friendly. I ordered the fish and chips since it was highlighted in the menu. The order came out quickly, a huge batter fried fish fillet on top of a load of fries with side cups of tarter sauce and coleslaw. The fries and coleslaw were just what you expect, good but nothing special. The fish was outstanding, mild flaky white fish in a perfectly crunchy coating; delicious and very satisfying. My only complaint was that while it was nicely presented on a square plate, having the huge fish fillet on top of the fries made it difficult to eat since I had to move the fish around to get to the fries and cutting the fish with the fries underneath did not work well. I appreciate attractive food presentation is important, but this was too much food for the size of the plate. I really liked my dinner at Steener's, if they could raise the level of the side dishes to match the fried fish this would be truly exceptional. Keep making great fish, just upgrade the rest of food to match.

I'm making a bold but very deserving claim that this is the best culinary experience in the area…read more It starts with the beautiful design of space and layout, but also carried through to carefully chosen high quality ingredients at a very reasonable price, and an excellent service experience. Can we get this in a Michelin guide for those traveling to Chautauqua or Lily Dale? What did we have? A perfectly juicy selection of lobster tail full of its own sweetness resting on top of a bed of pappardelle pasta bathing in saffron cream and sweet summer corn for pops of texture. A lumpy deep fried crab cake that crackled on the outside and then fell apart into juicy flakes upon breaking the fried shell. A sour dough bread with herbed butter that melted between the half sliced folds holding it together until fully pulling apart. Iced tea and lemonade Arnold Palmer with flavors that kept us guessing and curious about the added sweet spice profile. Definitely coming back, perhaps every single meal I can when I'm in the area.

Owner is really committed to fresh in season local ingredients and creative/elegant preparation. Nice seasonal cocktails, impressively considered wine list. The menu has something for everyone, except maybe for anyone who wants a traditional meat-and-potatoes meal. (But still... They'd probably like their food!) Not for everyone, just perfect for most.
