In response to Frankful flooring reply: you informed me you could credit $200 for shipping and my cost was over $2,000.00. I was just trying to simplify it for purposes of the review. I hope you learn accuracy is important and I hope other potential customers look elsewhere.

There was a needless wall cutting off the space from the living room & a dropped ceiling with ugly florescent lighting, but no other structural reason for the dropped ceiling. We wanted to get rid of the wall & dropped ceiling & have a new ceiling in line with the rest of the living room. My husband toyed with the idea of doing it himself, but I was concerned with the electrical work (a switch needed to be moved from the eliminated wall, can lights & pendants installed). Several contractors never even returned our call asking for estimates; one came & gave a reasonable estimate, then called back & doubled his price. Paul came out, gave a reasonable estimate & said he could start the job the next week. He started demo work on Monday & the job was finished on Friday! And that included him bringing in other guys for drywall & finishing work on the new ceiling. We're going to finish off the work we can (painting & hanging new light fixtures) to save a little money, but we were thrilled with the work from Black Rock; would definitely call them again in the future!

The secretary up front is delightful. His uncle, the owner, is very sharp. The fabrication area is clean and well lit unlike a lot of their competitors whose shops I visited looking for remnants and estimates.
