A MUST VISIT FOR DINNER if you're staying near Hood Canal or at Alderbrook! If the weather allows, sit outside and enjoy the breeze and water views. Family vibe + cooking. The food portions are huge and filling (and came out quickly). Margs are bowl-sized and strong Love the traditional painted booths! The servers are particularly fun - you can tell they enjoy their jobs AND have been there for a long time. Walking in, we were greeted by professional and caring hosts - then later, 2 of the male servers were chatty with my husband and I as they closed up. Only upgrade notes for 2 Margaritas - Dude. You are one of just 2 reputable dinner spots in town. Perhaps new outdoor patio tables (ours was a bit wobbly and uneven, not as nice as the indoor ones). Secondly I would renovate your opening lobby. There is nowhere to sit and no space to marvel at the restaurant to the left and right. Maybe a stand where you showcase your tortilla chips made by hand? Some cultural art or historical information about the restaurant? This would take it to the next level. Thanks for a great dinner. 2 Margaritas made us feel like we were truly on vacation.

Best food in Union! Tons of traditional food options, big beers, great outdoor patio. Mexican dinner and an ice cream across the street at Union Country Store makes for a perfect Hood Canal evening.

Delicious food. Quick service. Wonderful service. Not too crowded for a small place, though we went on a Wednesday. Loved the outdoor seating on the water, but it was a bit chilly so we sat inside. Very loud inside for how small the restaurant is. Could use a slight revamp, was still adorable, but seemed a little run down. Didn't matter much, because the food and drinks were incredible! My only sad face is that I wish they had the pricing for their drinks on the menu. It's a fair strategic move for the business for sure, but I would have reconsidered our drinks a bit more if I would've known the pricing. Still would recommend. It is a super small town, and we were staying down the road so for what was open, it was either this or an expensive fancy restaurant. Well done! (:

Great spot to enjoy next to the water. We got to see seals and have great margaritas and chips and salsa. Cant beat that! Love the margarita flavor options. I highly recommend trying their beans, so good! We had the bacon wrapped shrimp and enjoyed the pineapple based sauce! Delish!

Very busy on a Friday night. Wonderful service and food I one and a half-year-old ate 7 of the fajita shrimp. Flavorful without being spicy. Lots of wonderful grilled veggies. The plate of beans, rice and fajita toppings were generous. Margaritas were fantastic. Good tasting and strong. Friendly faces all around. The high chairs are pretty tall, sits above the table if you're planning on your little one to eat off of a plate stuck to the table.

We are fr om Dallas where Tex-Mex reigns supreme so we approach Mexican restaurants with a discerning eye. We saw 2 Margaritas along the road and the reviews were good, so off we went for dinner. I liked the family feel where everyone seemed happy work there and a lot of people knew each other. The service was fast and efficient. Our experience did not match other reviews that said service was bad. Our overall experience was excellent. We were seated promptly and our drink order taken. The margaritas are a bit different than in Dallas but that is not to say that they are bad. Just a bit different. The menu is quite extensive so it was hard to choose. In the end we went with shrimp fajitas because we wanted seafood. The shrimp were obviously fresh, not frozen, and tasted wonderfully sweet. The portion was generous. The veggies in the fajita platter included lots of red pepper which I love. The tortillas were hot and fresh. Rice and beans were good, as was the guac and pico. There was not much of a gap between 2 Margaritas and what we get in Dallas, so were happy and left stuffed. I would definitely recommend and we might even return before we leave.

But the very best item, and you won't find it at most restaurants, is the pork shank. Either alone or with a shrimp skewer. Tender, rich in flavor, and a lot of meat. We go here just to have the shank. The restaurant staff are great and we've never had anything other than good service. One other unique thing is the side of diced, pickled mushrooms served with the chips. Awesome. Our favorite local Mexican restaurant!

The gentleman that provides the complimentary chips and salsa was on top of it in providing water and taking care of everything. All the staff were friendly and quick to respond depending on their role. The size of the plates can be shared, we made a mistake and ordered our own plates. The salsa was not hot but very good, placed that on top of my food. They serve a mushroom and refried beans with the salsa. The beans were watery and would prefer them thicker. The mushrooms were different, never had but worth trying. Ordered the famous nachos, but replaced the chips with fries because the toppings looked better than their asada fries. Plenty of cheese and very dense. It needed more spices as it was a bit bland. The chicken had no flavor but absorbed the cheese flavor. The guacamole was small for the plate size. The other dish was also good just bland, it was a take enchiladas. Ended up eating the meat out of the insides as the tortillas were thick or doubled.

The restaurant is decorated like you're in someone's home in Mexico, it was so cute! It was very busy when we came in They don't have chips and salsa fyi - this joint is incredibly authentic Not a HUGE menu, but decent amount of choices which right away tells me they do what they do well if the menu isn't 8 pages haha We got quick service, there was one woman seating people, taking orders, and closing checks, and she did it well! My friend and I ordered soup (specifically carne en su jugo), which is my FAVORITE SOUP EVER, and I can't ever find it anywhere, and boy oh boy I will drive the 1.5 hours to get it again and again, it was perfect. They provide maximum of 2 ramekins of pickled carrots (cost if you want more, which were amazing) and 1 ramekin of green salsa (charge if you want more - and it's spicy but so good!) 3 crispy chicken tacos 1 mole with refried beans taquito (not rolled) 1 adobado pork sopa 1 adobado pork taco 2 chorizo tacos 1 hibiscus aqua fresca The restaurant doesn't have any music on, which I always appreciate background noise in general, but my friend and I were talking so much and the place was busy I didn't notice too much We planned on meeting monthly in Centralia and will continue to go here to eat, check it out!!!

It's a cozy family run joint with super authentic food from the Southwest of Mexico. Service if wonderful and the hosts are very accommodating and pay a lot of attention to make sure you're enjoying your meal. The tamales are great - they're heavier on the outer soft shell than the meat but very tasty - save some of the salsa you get when you are seated to go with this. But the standout for me are the ala carte tacos - the chorizo and the adovado meats are well portioned, superbly cooked, and seasoned to be juicy and flavorful. I'll be back to try a bunch of other menu items on my next road trip!

My wife and I arrived just as the restaurant was closing. The last guests were finishing up, chairs were being moved, and the staff was preparing to head home after a long day. We offered to return another time, but instead were greeted with warmth and generosity that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we felt less like customers and more like honored guests. The owners' pride in their craft was unmistakable. Despite closing time, they graciously prepared a full meal and cared for us with a level of hospitality that was genuinely moving. While we waited, we took in an atmosphere that transported us to Mexico. A large map of the country covered one wall, highlighting cities and regions rich in history and culture. As aromas of freshly prepared food filled the air, we found ourselves planning future travels through Mexico. The setting, anticipation, and sense of welcome combined into something memorable. Then came the food. The Carne Asada plate was outstanding. The beef was perfectly grilled--tender, deeply flavorful, and expertly seasoned. Every element felt purposeful and balanced, proving how skill and care can elevate simple ingredients into something remarkable. And then there were the churros. Perfectly crisp on the outside, light and airy within, and dusted with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar, they were among the best desserts I have ever had. Every bite was warm, comforting, and unforgettable. Even the smallest details reflected the restaurant's commitment to hospitality. Our waitress was attentive and kind, and an ice-cold Coca-Cola served in a classic glass bottle added an authentic touch to the experience. Many restaurants pursue excellence through technique and presentation. What this place achieves is rarer: outstanding food paired with genuine human kindness. The flavors were unforgettable, but it was the generosity, warmth, and heart of the people behind them that made this one of the most memorable dining experiences my wife and I have shared. If you're alooking for authentic Mexican cuisine crafted with care and served by people who truly love what they do, this restaurant is extraordinary.
