Happy hour sliders and loaded tots -- soooo good!

Never got the guy's name at the front but he really sold us on this spot being so friendly and telling us about this LoCo bar crawl map! Please Solace, give this man a raise! Haha Food was amazing, it really hit the spot! And again, he really sold us on the menu and we're glad to get his recommendations. Hubs and I shared these sliders and loaded tater tots -- definitely delicious and shareable! He got a beer and I got a flight. I love that they had a good variety for both beers and bites! Also, there's ample seating -- great for both small and big groups. And it's family friendly too with the ample games they had! We would definitely come back to try the other beers and other food on the menu!

Updating my old review now that they have a kitchen at this location. Beer: Solace continues to make some of the best brews in NoVA. Check out the Lucy Juicy Double IPA (DIPA) - (8.5% ABV) for a strong mix of fruit and danky hops. The Broad Street Brown (5.5% ABV) is a great option if you want something malty/toast but not overly sweet. When they have it the Stouty McStout Face (6.5% ABV) is a go to for anyone that loves a coffee forward stout. Food: solid bar/brewery level food. Decent burgers. Old school tater tots. Above avg salads. Nothing that will blow you away but it will get the job done. Frankly the food is better at Honor Brewing across the road but Solace wins by far on the beer. Misc: This is a production location so you get all the smells, sounds and visuals one would expect for a working brewery. I like that but I recognize that is not everyone's thing. Decent parking. Good service. Video games for the kids. Overall family with kids vibe.

You can always count on the breweries to be open when the wineries close. We visited Solace Brewing Company after wine tasting, which was a fun way to end our day of booze. Solace reminded me of the many solid breweries I've been to before: it's open and spacious, there's a chalkboard menu of the daily taps and TVs throughout were playing sports. No complaints here. Being from Washington, I'm particular about my IPAs, especially when I'm on the east coast. But I gotta say, Solace had a good list of different IPAs the night we visited. Unfortunately during COVID-19, they are not allowing a tasting flight, but they do offer beers in half pours. And when the bartender poured the beer, it was definitely more than half. Again, no complaints here. The beer were solid. Though I didn't find the bitter, imperial-style IPA that I tend to lean towards, the IPAs were solid. And I'm glad to know that Solace is making its way around town, offering craft beers, which far exceed Budweiser and beyond. I recommend stopping by for a beer here when in the Sterling area.

Nice, chill brewery. It's bring your own food with a lot of tables and space. The beers I've tried so far have been good. I've also had the beer flight which was worth to try out the different options.

Damn good beer. If you Ike ipa's this is your place. What you can get in the store - party cloud or juicy Lucy is better on tap. Lots of seating. Kid area. No food. Has food trucks. Check website. Arcade machines are prevalent but loud.

Wish they had longer hours. Awesome place - dog friendly and arcade friendly. Good selection of brews and tasty!

Neat place with plenty of parking. It's actually a pretty large building and well decorated. Decent amount of beers on tap and wish I was able to try a flight. I really liked the Christmas Winterbock and will likely come back! Limited Bar seating but plenty of seating inside and a well priced beers! Also dog friendly. They do have a lot of IPAs on tap but other beers too for those who aren't a fan!

Delicious beer, tasty food, and friendly team! The execution is a little rough but not enough to aggravate the experience.

All solace beer is Gluten reduced and tastes great. I wish more brewers would reduce the gluten for celiacs.

Dark woods, colored lights stickers, TV playing, music going and the vats for brewing. Walked up and took a seat at the empty bar, arriving minutes after they opened on a Monday. Looked at the tap menu, as well as can for sale. My sister ordered a lemon lime cider and I decided on a Polvo Pils. After that trip to Prague, I will always search out a good pilsner. Ocelot had a wonderful pilsner, served properly. I followed this up with Little Black Book. Can you ever go wrong with a nitro tap beer? The answer is no. So, after two rounds, I was impressed with the beer, definitely better than what I had tasted the previous days. The beertender was attentive, the decor was somewhat eclectic, lots of colored lights strung from the ceiling. Barrels against the wall, as the main beer hall opened up to the production side of the establishment. The pinball room was awesome, wall to wall pinball machines, light flashing, looked like it would really be a happening place at quitting time. All in all it was the best beer experience I had while visiting. Would recommend a stop if you don't want to battle traffic out of IAD at the wrong time of day.

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is a very, quite spacious and very welcoming. It's right next to a lake and so the setting was lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor room with doors that opened to the outside. I had a raspberry lemon martini with a sugared glass rim. Very nicely presented. They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. If I find myself in this area again, I will definitely be back.

For a weeknight, this restaurant was surprisingly busy, which felt like a good sign! Dinner started out with trying some of their appetizers. We got the Tex Mex Egg Rolls as well as their special Burrata appetizer. The Tex Mex Egg Rolls came with four tasty mini egg rolls filled with smoked chicken, corn, black beans, onions, peppers, and jalapeño jack cheese. They were served with a creamy avocado dipping sauce that added a cool, refreshing contrast to the savory filling. Overall, these were a light and flavorful way to start the meal. The Burrata special was also pretty good. It came with three crisp breads, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, extra virgin olive oil and drizzles of balsamic glaze. I loved the buttery, creamy burrata paired with the juicy cherry tomatoes. I also liked how the basil pesto and balsamic glaze gave a bright, herby flavor. For my entree, I opted for the Wood Grilled Chicken Breast. Two generous pieces of tender grilled chicken were served over angel hair pasta tossed in brown butter sauce, alongside roasted cremini mushrooms and green beans. Interestingly, I got a lemony flavor in the brown butter sauce, which was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. I especially enjoyed the roasted cremini mushrooms. These were earthy, meaty and full of flavor! Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner at Sweetwater Tavern. From the flavorful starters to the hearty entree, it was a satisfying first dinner in Dulles. I'm glad I took the hotel receptionist's recommendation. Locals know best!
