This is a great brewery with a very chill vibe. Pretty quiet on a weeknight and had some games we were able to play. Amazing local spot. It would be cool if they had food but that's no biggie. Would recommend if you're in the Haymarket/Gainesville Area.

Ample parking and a good location. I just realized I started a review of a brewery by talking about parking and not the beer. I'm ipa forward. The picture of the flight of their ipa's could differentiate the beers by looks. I got to say underwhelming beer. Good space. Nice seating. Do you go for beer?

I'm not sure why this place gets 5 stars. My husband's wit beer was rather bland and unremarkable. My dark lager was fine (tasted more like a stout) but nothing exciting. Beers were overpriced at $8 for a pint in an industrial parking lot in the exurbs. Service was friendly and they were dog friendly (dogs allowed inside!) which we always like. No food available at the brewery but you can bring in outside food.

We love the beer at Great Mane. It's pet friendly so we bring our dog frequently. Service is fantastic and you will often see the owners there pouring beer.

Matt and company are a great group of people offering solid brews. Next time I'm in Haymarket I'll definitely stop by!

New brewery that sits in the industrial park behind Sheetz and aldie, only reachable from Route 15. Today they have 7 beers available and two hard kombochas. Large space, lots of tables of tables. The only food is bar snacks. Still getting their feel for the new equipment. Come check them out before they blow up.

    Breweries are for cats too.

The beer was good though there were no food options other than a charcuterie board so we had to DoorDash everything.

The brewery itself is quintessential northern Virginia area. Good, concise, expensive beer options built into a building that was clearly something much different prior. It was excellent. I was looking for good beer for a local gathering, and searched through several breweries. I was interested in the options here that are diverse, yet small and curated. I opted for the rye cold IPA, Rye Hard With A Vengeance - this has a strong rye flavor with almost a rye bread note to it, the hops weren't as pronounced as I prefer but the result is an overall good balance that to me leaned almost toward a dark lager. The Turtlenecks & Blazers is what I'll return for - a deceptively easy to drink 6.6%. The pronounced hops and slight fruitiness are one of the better IPAs I've had recently. It doesn't veer into dank bitterness or overboard with citrus, while also not being a flat boring middle-of-the-road IPA. A great pour, and I was disappointed there wasn't any canned when I got there. The only thing I'd improve is the seating, which is a personal impression. The white tiles and bright lights are a bit too much in my opinion, by softening the interior just a little it would be somewhere I'd hang around.

The beer was solid - hubby. and I split a flight and enjoyed the marionberry wheat and Sweet Nala stout. We liked their logo "Soil to Suds" and bought a few shirts - they even had a bunch of shirts on sale for $5! Great place for family time at a brewery.

There is seating both inside and outside. The inside is a bit stark on the inside with drywall on the walls and ceiling. I woulds have loved if they had lined the walls and ceiling with something like pine. I've sampled a number of their brews. My fave brews thus far are two ales: - Snafu (Strong Ale) - The Donkey Calleth (Imperial IPA) They have a small popcorn machine for snacks (which is free) - but other than that, as far as I can tell - there are no other food options. The folks who run the place are super nice. There is no WiFi network and they currently do not accept Apple Pay. #FourJsFarmAndBrewery

Very family friendly, plenty of place to run around and the food comes out quick (no specific kids menu but the grilled cheese was a huge hit). The Director of Operations, Kat, was lovely, came by our table to chat and shared a little more about the makers market they were hosting and some of the special events (Monday bingo night!!) they have going on. The food was not only quick but also delicious -- I will be dreaming about the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls tonight. I've been going to breweries in Northern Virginia for over 14 years now and have seen a ton come and go. From Ocelot, to Old Ox, from Adroit Theory to Aslin, Solace, Honor, Route 7, Wheatland Springs, Dominion, Caboose, Crooked Run, Bluemont, Dirt Farm and probably some more. Bottom line - Lark is your average family get together venue, it rivals with Vanish, Dirt Farm and Bear Chase. Tons of room for the fam to run around and play, however - very limited parking space for the amount of seating areas. The service was okay, as someone who has served Beer and Wine for almost 3 years, I totally understand. However the staff was pretty hard to work with. They would stand behind the counter, they don't make eye contact and they don't ask who's next or really know how to engage the customer. They don't seem to be interested in their own beer. At one point there were 7 employees behind the counter while there were 3 -5 people in line. They should have teamed up and taken care of all 3 - 5 people at once. Pro tip: one person can serve multiple people, you don't need 7 people behind the bar. Get them working, you have waaaaay too many employees and barely any of them know what IBU means. For the beer, if you're a person who uses Untappd, I gave the brewery a 3/5. The beers were okay and probably need a lot more time for research. Why is a pilsner extra hoppy? But if you're really looking for a great venue with amazing service and amazing beer? Annnnnd family time? Hit up Wheatland Springs and you will not be disappointed Save yourself some time and money and just go to Ocelot for good beer and for beer and the family go to Wheatland Springs Lark is fairly new to the game but they're pulling the venue vibe card. Service 2/5 Beer 3/5 Venue 4/5 (Live music outside would take it further)

The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the other guests (mostly regulars) made for great company! Powers only serves beer, but they do have a food truck rotation that comes through, so make sure to check their website before visiting to find out what's being served that day. The beer selection is decent and has something for everyone's taste. There is plenty of indoor seating and just as much outdoor seating, so you won't have to worry about standing up the whole time even when it's busy. Outside they have a Corn Hole setup and they also had a soccer ball you could kick around if you wanted to. To add to the outdoor ambiance, there was also a chicken coop that you could walk up to and look at. Also, if you're around during the evening, they might get the bonfires going!
