Why in the world have I been going to these other stylist who need me to do part of their job (shampoo and blow dry, go buy the hair), yet pay them like they've done all the work; sorry, I digressed!!!!!.....Anyway, Jaydin was friendly and professional, and she did not hurt my head because I'm very tender headed. 33 Fingers is going to get sick of seeing me because I'm a customer for life now; totally sold on 33 Fingers. A simple rod set was my request and though she didn't have the traditional rods the long cushion rollers worked just as good and this chic was very fast, I swear she rolled my hair in 20 minutes or less...quite impressive as I have experienced much longer roll time for this particular style. I expect very few things when dealing with salons especially if I am a first time client........ things that I consider no brainer's and they are....some line of questioning about my hair(history, etc.), a general idea that healthy hair is your priority, thorough shampooing of my hair, and the benefit of being able to explain how I like my hair.......simple. I realize that all stylist are clearly not created equal but some things in my opinion are just the standard. I didn't say anything that day because I had a migraine n I was exhausted but I reached out not 24 hours later expressing that I was not satisfied. The owner asked me to send her a picture of what I asked for and what received. She could instantly tell it wasn't done correctly and asked if I could come in at Monday at 12 on Monday! Then on Monday at 11am she changed the time til 2pm. She kept asking me what I wanted do and I explained I wanted it out and a refund. She also explained the style wasn't right because my hair was to short and asked if would allow her to do it and I explained I couldn't or wouldn't sit that long ever again, she proceeds to tell me that she could now do it 4 hours top! Do you know how appalled I was! I proceeded to ask for the out, which she had 3 of her braiders do so. Then she only offered me $150 back for my time n inconvenience. I left out so feeling so tried. I should have left after the first red flag. They don't have a price list, they charge different people different prices for the same styles. They had one person start the braid n do at least 8-10 of them the someone rode come braid them down while the other one starts on someone else. My starter braided was working on 4 people at one time so you have to wait til she is finished with others to get 8-10 more braids. Then they don't stay put, their on the phone, in the back trying to eat themselves while your just sitting there! The towels they use after they dip your braids are dirty! The one they had thrown around me had small black bugs on them! The owner always posting she's on trips n dripped in designer but not washing the towels. As a business owner in the beauty/barber industry this entire experience was unacceptable. Once I posted on my IG what I experienced my followers started telling me that the had bad experiences as well and that they couldn't believe I was there from 9am-7pm. The woman I spoke with was very thorough in communicating how things work like the deposit, etc. She also did my hair with another woman. Both were very nice! The salon is located directly across the street from Noda Brewery in the sketchiest looking warehouse I have ever seen. Sorry, but it's true lol. I was nervous so I texted my friend who had been before. She quickly calmed my nerves and said it does look sketchy but it's okay and she gave me amazing instructions on how to get to Madusas, which is located on level 2. Once I got inside all was well!
