One of the worst salon experiences. The person I was booked with called to ask if I could come in 4.5 hours early. I said no since I was working. When I got there, Erin had clearly pawned me off on someone else who was there. The person who I was now supposed to have was actively providing a service to someone else. So they asked a third person to wash my hair. She seemed incredibly nervous. I was told they would throw in an additional service (I think this was to buy time) but don't believe I ever actually got it. Once I get to the chair to blow dry, they put a hair robe on, around the chair, so I'm basically in a straight jacket. It was clear everyone was rushed so someone comes over to help blow dry. She makes a joke that I'm getting "celebrity treatment" - no, you're just trying to hurry this along. The new person who comes to help is going twice as fast, doing larger sections and using 3x as hot of temperature. She helps for about sixty seconds, and leaves my hair wrapped around a brush and leaves. I sat with a brush in my hair for another 5 minutes. Was never asked how I style my hair. She made the decision for me. Whatever was used in my hair, I can't even get my fingers through it. I go to pay and for the 3rd time, the price is different than originally told. When I first went to book it said a blowout was $41. Not STARTING at $41. When I put in my card info and address for billing (for the booking deposit), it seems it realized I was from out of town and kicked up the price $20, now to $61. Found this absurd but needed it done. Now I'm standing at the counter to pay and instead of $51 ($61-$10 deposit), she tells me I owe $53. Terrible start to finish! read more

Found my new & favorite salon!! I visited 2 weeks ago for the first time to get a haircut & blowout. My stylist was Liz, and she did an outstanding job. I got about 2.5 inches cut off which brought my hair to my mid-back, with a bouncy blowout. I feel brand new with lighter hair. Parking in the back which is a huge plus & the reason for which I came here. Tea & coffee available as well. Happy to have found my place & can't wait to be back! read more

I was visiting Charolette to pick up an award at the ISPE conference. I wanted a little help with my hair since I had a really nice dress. I loved it. I'm from out of town and needed a haircut. Found this salon via Yelp and liked that it was close to Atherton Mills so I can go shopping after. Booking an appt online was easy and I was able to choose a stylist. I liked not having to call in to do that. Received confirmation the same day. Parking was easy. No issues as they have their own private lot. When I walked in they already knew who I was which felt like VIP treatment. I was offered water, coffee, or tea. While waiting, the receptionist told me that the stylist I booked could not make it, and asked if I was okay with a junior stylist. I agreed since I was there anyway and still wanted a haircut. They were apologetic and said that if I didn't like my haircut they were happy to fix it. The junior stylist (Elizabeth) was very nice. Gave a great head massage while she was washing my hair and was meticulous about my hair getting dried. Between her and another assistant, they spent almost two hours on me (I have thick hair so takes awhile to blow dry). I felt they spent too much time on me and felt bad, but that's how they treat their customers. I loved my haircut and glad I went with the jr stylist. In the end I was charged the level 1 stylist and later emailed them to ask for a refund of the difference. I did not know if they would actually respond and be proactive about giving me the difference, but they responded in less than two days. This just shows how determined they are to ensure I had a great experience at the salon. Overall highly recommend based on how they treat their customers. I will be back! read more

Nicole did such a beautiful job w my hair. It was dull, lifeless and the ends were tangly. She brought it back to life and made me look 10 years younger! It even looks like highlights and I didn't even get those! I'm not sure if she did magic or is just really talented w scissors, but I'll be back! read more

I've been going to this salon for a while now and everyone is very pleasant and kind however I had a bad experience today. I had balayage and a trim done by a very senior stylist and it is not what I asked for and frankly quite expensive. The first photo is what I showed the stylist and the second is my result. I talked with Samantha the next day and she set me up for a consult and cut with Anneke. All I can is wow. Every step, Anneke has been collaborative, clear, and creative. I've embraced my salt and pepper hair, so I wanted a cut and low lights to enhance it. She nailed it. I'm so happy with her work and overall approach. It's hard to find a good stylist for a short cut, so I feel fortunate how easy this fell into place. This is a cohesive and talented team that takes pride in their craft. I was called to be notified that my previous stylist was no longer there and I would have a new stylist. I said, as long as they did the exact same thing the previous one did I would be OK. Firstly, the person never once even asked me how I was doing, made conversation, or even talked to me. That is fine... Whatever. Secondly, I've been having my hair highlighted for 30 years and I have never seen such slow foiling. After being there for quite some time, and waiting on it being processed, which normally takes 15 to 20 minutes; after 30 minutes I said something, and she told me she used formula 7 instead of formula, 20 which is what I had previously and that is why it was taking so long. I asked for her to use heat, which I have always had a touch of during processing. Just be upfront with me; if you're not going to do what the previous stylist did. Also, she made a comment about a sensitive part of my hairline which I am fully aware of and saying something without me bringing it up is beyond rude. Also when I first arrived, I was offered a beverage. I asked for a small glass of white wine with an ice cube; after 45 minutes later, and realizing that this is going to be an extra long trip at the salon, I asked for a second glass. And was told no flat out. I do not need free wine and to get drunk while getting my hair done and found this beyond offensive. I have been getting my hair professionally highlighted for 30 years and this was the first time I was ever told I could only have one glass of wine at what I would call a nice/high caliber salon(which clearly this is not even mediocre standards). I was not offered an explanation, however, why would it matter. So if you've had a long hard day at work, and have someone brand new doing your hair that has already offended, you; is taking unbelievably slow, and told you you get one glass of wine max even tho you are spending $300 there over 2+ hours; save yourself from this horrible experience, and find a salon who actually knows what customer service, honest communication, cleanliness and overall class consists of. There are plenty of salons in Charlotte. I was beyond frustrated with the whole experience, customer service, and how long it took that I left the salon with my hair wet and didn't even want to wait for it to be blow dried. Do not charge these rates and consider yourself of high clientele base if you are going to offer this kind of experience. Never again. read more

I can not rave about this salon enough! Everything from requesting an appointment through Yelp to the consultation with my stylist (Alex) to the cut itself was outstanding. First, let me just say that Alex took such good care of me. I originally came in thinking that I was going to do a hair donation. She was kind enough to straighten my hair beforehand to optimize for the length. After measuring and seeing what the final length would be, we talked it through, and I ended up deciding to wait a few months to do the donation and settled on a trim for today. She was so patient the whole time and answered all of my questions. Next, was the hair wash. Oh. Em. Gee. This was by far my favorite part. I would come back and pay just to have my hair washed here. It was basically a scalp massage with hot towel action. The sinks were comfortable too, which is a first for me. Finally, the trim and styling at the end was great. I just sat and read my book while Alex did her magic. I told her I was going to a wedding later today and that it might rain, so she thoughtfully used product that would protect me from the humidity. For someone who goes to the hair dresser once every other year, I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I can't wait to go back in two months! read more

I know this past year has been so difficult with the pandemic on not just myself but everyone and to be honest I honestly let myself go, not tending to self care.. especially my hair. Avoid like the plague. Came here before a wedding and asked for loose curls. My hair is half straight and half Shirley temple (I wish this was a joke). They stylist (Suzanne) asked me to lower my head basically into my legs so she could blow dry my hair upside down bc it "dries faster" this way. She used a 0.5 inch curling iron and 1.5 inch even after I asked her not to use the small one and curled in different directions (towards and away from my face). I came here to have my hair professionally styled but it would have looked better if I did it myself. 2 stars because front desk was nice and offered me a drink. So after my hair hit terminal length (mid back) it started to shed like crazy. Hair everywhere. I needed something new. 40+ years of long hair. I wanted to go short but after having a traumatic haircut as punishment as a kid (dad practically shaved my head - aweful pixie cut by his barber) I have been terrified of short hair. Jade Jackson took those fears away. I showed her a couple of photos of what I was thinking of and she had her vision. The experience was devine. Shampoo scalp message.....I almost fell asleep. Also her methodology of cutting, slow, focused, precise. She gave me a hella cute bob. Best part, she never asked why I wanted to go short or if my spouse would approve. My hair, my choice. The experience was about ME. The price was more than reasonable and I left with some cool product for my hair type and when I get lazy (dry shampoo). Everything was perfect from check-in to checkout! I decided last minute to get my hair done on NYE day. They were very quick with getting back with me. When I checked in they had a table at the front where they took my temperature and had me fill out all of my forms before I went back. My appointment was with Anneke. We took about 10 minutes to go over the history of my hair and how I wanted it to look. she did a fantastic job and I am extremely pleased with the result. I will most definitely be back. read more

I solely rely on Aveda products because my scalp is sensitive to chemicals. I unfortunately, greyed at a young age - so I put keep my hair light and it requires a lot of maintenance. I have been to several Aveda salons across the U.S. as I moved and traveled. I have never ever had a bad experience, been overcharged and come home with my hair burnt. I visited Gisoo two days in a row and paid over $450 to have my hair not cut correctly (asked 6 times to cut it shorter), double processed because my grey didn't cover and not being able to sleep for weeks because of how my hair looks. It's been almost 2 months and spending $100+ on hair restoration products. I still need to wait to fix this disaster of my hair. I am embarrassed to go outside. I hope Aveda is reading this!! read more

The appointment process was easy and the man who booked me over the phone (I think one of the owners?) was kind and helpful. I saw a negative review about their Covid safe practices but had the opposite experience. The sign up table is outside where a contactless temperature is taken. Hand sanitizer available everywhere. Everyone in masks. Felt safe the whole time. I had super long hair and got around 8-9 inches off. Anneke was the stylist and was wonderful. I was in a bit of a time crunch and she made it happen. Did beautiful color and a gorgeous cut that was exactly what I wanted! Will be so easy to style and still long enough for me to put up and out of my face. It's been difficult for me to find a good fit because I have so much thick, strong hair, and stylists in the past have not known how to manage it and have gotten frustrated. But at last, my search is over! I was placed with Anneke, a senior stylist, and she was kind, thorough and professional in our consultation and throughout the entire appointment. She was honest in what could and couldn't be accomplished and I appreciated all her input.
