I got my hair partially highlighted here and I really like it. This was a last minute thing so I didn't make an appointment. They were able to squeeze me. It seems like Binh is the only stylist there so if you're in a hurry, this is not the place for you. Binh was able to finish my hair under two hours. The highlight was not bleached blonde as I showed him on the picture because my hair was very dark in the first place. He did what was best for my hair and I will be returning after a month to get it lighter. Overall I'm very excited about my new look and I think he did a very good job in a timely manner, on top of that there was a line waiting for him. He's really fast and professional. This is my overall favorite place now and will be returning again. One more thing: this is an Asian family owned business, therefore they will speak in their language to communicate with one another - that doesn't mean they are talking bad about you. Just an FYI because I've encountered many reviews on the language barriers and some assume they speak negative about their clients, that is not true - at least at this place it's not true. Very nicely done! I basically gave no instruction as I don't speak the language either but everything was done right to meet my approval rating and at a fraction of the price. I rather gave a nice cushiony tip at this price and keep my frequent visit! Binh is the best!!! I've always struggled to find someone who can achieve what I want for my hair. I wanted a lightly colored balayage and a trim for a summery look, but I have pretty dark Asian hair. In only 2 hours though, he gave me a new color that I was totally obsessed with! It looked so natural. He does not speak much English, but he knows enough to get you what you want and to voice any concerns. I showed him a couple pictures and he instantly knew what I wanted. He is also excellent at juggling the business on his own. His wife helped out with drying my hair, but he was bouncing between 2 other clients while also working on me. I never felt rushed. I called to book an appointment and came in same day for a cut. The salon is really just a house right off Central where all the gab you hear is in Vietnamese (I think, forgive my ignorance!). I've never been in and out of a salon faster than I was today--about 35 minutes. Granted, you're not gonna get the lengthy shampoo and massage, but this guy knows what he is doing. They also offer perms, coloring services, and special occasion hair and makeup. They are open 7 days a week from 9:30am to 8:00pm, except for Thursdays when they close at 2:00pm.
