This restaurant in Mebane was a by chance stopping - it was so Crowded due to a large party but the wait staff were amazing and we had the best lunch. Everything was so fresh and inviting - loved it.

    Crab dip and pot stickers

I've recently relocated from Winston-Salem Salem to Raleigh and Mebane was the sort of the best halfway point to meet a friend who was driving in from the Triad. Paking is limited, but we went in the evening on a Friday and had no issues parking at the bank across the street. The restaurant is in a small building that looks like a converted shotgun house. But they managed to stick in a small bar and several table. There's also patio seating before you come in. It wasn't too decorative because they were thoughtful about preserving their space for customers. You could see part of the kitchen and food prep area from the dining room. The food. We ordered crab dip and pot stickers for the appetizers. The pot stickers were average. I did enjoy that the wontons were crispy thee the way around. Nothing special about the filling or flavor. But the crab dip was pretty good. Very cheesy and could have used a little more crab, but it was out favorite thing of the night. For entrees we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos with fries and the Grilled Salmon Salad. The tacos and fries were cold by the time they reached the table. The taco itself wasn't that great. It was dry and the aoli seemed to make it "bang" seemed like it was just mayo with sugar. The Fried shrimp were crispy and seasoned well. I just wish they were warmer and coated with sauce. The fries were rosemary-ee (not a word but fits). The were God, but i wished they were hot when they reached the table. Finally, the Salad. It wasn't as pretty as I wanted it to be and I had tons of the hard white peices and not enough leaves. The candied pecans weren't very special and didn't give much of a crunch. However the salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was our second favorite thing. Overall we thought that they were great with the big things but need to polish some of the little stuff. I would go back and give them another try. I would have ordered some of their features but everything was served with risotto. I probably could have asked for different sides but did bother. I say go try for yourself. It's a cute date night spot.

This place is one of those places where you look at the menu and instantly want to order one of everything. Thankfully, I managed to narrow it down--but the temptation was real. We started with the Pimento Cheese Hushpuppies, which I had high hopes for. They were a bit over‑fried and dry, with more breading than cheesy center, and the jalapeño bacon jam was watery and didn't quite complement the hushpuppies. That said, the concept is fun, and with a thicker, chunkier jam, I think they'd really shine. The Fried Oysters, however, were a completely different story. Perfectly breaded, not overly heavy, and full of flavor. My husband--who's keto and peeled the breading off--still commented on how good the oysters themselves were. If anything, we just wished the portion was bigger. The star of the starters for me was the She Crab Soup. Creamy, rich, and loaded with crab. It was one of those dishes you keep going back to between bites of everything else. And here's my pro tip: dip the hushpuppies into the soup. It transformed them from dry to delicious, and I even suggested to our server that the kitchen consider offering them together. For my entrée, I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos with a side of pasta salad. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the Thai‑inspired sauce had a sweet kick that I honestly wish there had been more of. The pasta salad was classic but surprisingly good--fresh, balanced, and better than most versions I've had lately. My husband ordered the Salmon & Shrimp Scampi, swapping the pasta for extra spinach to stay keto. Both proteins were cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and plated generously. Overall, the meal had a few highs and a couple of misses, but the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the menu make this a place I'd absolutely visit again. With a little fine‑tuning on a few items, 2 Twelve has the potential to be truly exceptional.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, I just wish I took a picture of my meal! I will have to go back to try another meal, that's my excuse.... had a great time.

We went on a Tuesday night to celebrate our anniversary. We made reservations but really not necessary. It wasn't busy. Since it was the day after Labor Day so may have affected the number of patrons. The was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was good. Our orders were mixed up but they were quick to fix. I had the seafood platter with oysters and flounder. It was fried. The oysters were fried perfectly and the rosemary fries were tasty. I took the flounder home along with the fries. Next time I would order something not fried. My husband had the Cajan pasta with fried shrimp which he said was tasty. Since we were celebrating our 60th Anniversary they allowed us to choose a complimentary dessert. We chose the bread pudding and it was delicious. We look forward to returning to try some different entrees. There was not much ambiance but the restaurant was clean with an open kitchen concept.

Came just to find a place to eat in Mebane, and happened to come across this place. It's really nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We came when the it wasn't really busy so service was fast. I got the pimento cheese hush puppies, they were decent. i expected more pimento cheese, but they weren't bad.

    Coconut Cake

Had dinner here to celebrate a college graduation. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I had the shrimp and grits that was a special. It had the perfect amount of spice. Well developed flavors. Others had the crab stuffed grouper, ribeye, Cajun pasta, filet and scallops, and burgers. Our group shared each of the deserts. Chocolate Creme Brulee. Key Lime Cheesecake. Coconut cake was one of the best I have had. It almost had a hummingbird cake vibe. Delish.

However, the dishes we ordered as entrees were lackluster. I got the steak and gnocchi dish. It was advertised as being served with steak sauce, but instead, the sauce was much more like a jammy barbecue -- very off-putting. The steak was served well done, and the gnocchi was doughy. I am a huge fan of both steak and gnocchi, and it doesn't take much to impress me with either, but this was pretty bad. A friend got the chicken cassoulet, which was fine, but a bit bland. Another member of our party got the pork belly and said it was delicious! The service was good, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, especially as it got closer to time for the live music to start. I ordered the crispy cauliflower app which was delish! Don't let the raisins sway your decision - it's suttle but just right with the cauli. The food was pretty good. I started with the tortellini soup and had the French toast from the Brunch menu. For drinks, I tried the pineapple mimosa, but it was warm, which really affected the flavor. I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. Even though we were seated inside, there were several constantly circling, and one ended up landing in my water. Our waitress tried to help, but the problem continued. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service, but I would come back for the food only and not for the drinks.

There's an S-shaped bar along the right side as you walk in with a few smaller tables scattered to the left and ahead, but if you walk around the plantings, there are larger tables in the rear. We had reserved a place for eight, and they fit us in with plenty of room around as a buffer. Few other parties joined us back there, so it was very quiet and great for friends catching up. We tried several wines, but I was a bit shock ed that the list wasn't longer: three reds, three whites, a few rosés and sparkling offerings was all there were. The only Italian red was a blend, which was ok. 60% Sangiovese, it was ok, but I'd have loved a bold Tuscan red like a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo or a full-on Sangiovese. I ordered the wild mushroom flatbread and the pasta carbonara. the flatbread was delicious, and very filling. Half went home for a lunch treat the next day! The pasta was ok, but there weren't the flavors I was expecting. Hardly any meat was in the dish, and it was just a kinda "ok" creamy pasta dish. But the service and the atmosphere was amazing! It's funny - many in this group have met since and we always remark how other places have such a larger wine selection than this one that has "wine" in the name. Maybe they need to change the name if they aren't going to have a wider selection. Still a fun place, just done expect a lot of selection.

Stopped by RBF recently for an afternoon drink and really enjoyed my experience!…read more First, we ended up finding street parking right next to RBF, but I think there may also be a dedicated parking lot outside the back patio? Not entirely sure since we still have no idea how to access it, but maybe look for that lot if street parking is challenging :) Anyway, RBF is located in the basement of a building, so we had to take an elevator down from the entrance we took. Inside, it's got chill vibes - it definitely feels like a wine bar :) We ended up sitting inside on a high top, but there were various couches and a good amount of outdoor seating available as well. It took a while for our server to come check in with us, but she was super friendly and helpful with the wine selections once she came over. I got a random glass of red wine (they do not serve beer, in case you were wondering!) while my wife tried out a couple of tasters and then picked out a white wine for herself. The wine was pretty tasty and it was definitely a generous portion. After sitting there for a while, we also decided to grab some bread with pesto on the side. It took a sec for it to come out, but it wasn't bad! Nothing extraordinary but I wasn't expecting anything super gourmet, so it was totally fine. Overall, we had a great experience here and I would definitely stop by again on a date night.

Um WOW, the goat cheese was SO GOOD. Like so good. You should visit simply to have warm bread and goat cheese for girl dinner. This is a great space to spend an afternoon or evening.
