    Great craft beer on tap!

This place is a fun small pub in the heart of town. The food is the best pub food we had in town. Great flavor on the fish tacos, they were amazing on a hot day! The Nickel-fil-a was so good! I've never had a fried chicken sandwich like it before! The beer selection is on point and the service was very friendly and quick.

I went in this particular establishment with my husband and I was not pleased with any of the experience I had here. I am an Ex-server, I understand staffing issues. I did not appreciate the fact that there is not a sign telling guests to seat themselves, nor was I greeted at the door when I walked in. I had to wait for a server to come clean the table off mind you multiple tables had been sitting dirty for over 15 minutes. The server told me that she would come back in a little bit while we got settled into the table. I waited 15 minutes to order my food. My food was not at all what I had expected from this establishment. Instead of getting a normal amount of fries I got mostly crispy bits from leftover fried food. I also watched my server walk past my table 3 separate times and never once asked if we needed anything (like water). After I finally got a chance to order my food I waited 15 more minutes for my food to arrive (mind you it's a Tuesday night in Mebane). I ordered the Italian grinder Sammy, it's just fried bologna with cheese and banana peppers. I also had a hard time seeing the menus because of the lack of lighting (I understand it's a pub) but the patio was not well lit. I also watched as I waited for my food to arrive other tables get their entrees before me and they had sat down after me. I also received my check and was charged an extra .85¢ for what I am not sure. I also waited an additional 20 minutes for a single cup of ranch. Needless to say I will not be headed back until they get their establishment under control and have standards put in place.

Enjoyed our Saturday lunch at the Wooden Nickel! I had the Dragon Dance Power Bowl Salad with grilled chicken added, and my boyfriend enjoyed the grilled chicken panini. Both were yummy!

If I could marry a burger, I would. Specifically I would the Hangover burger which seems to be a preventative, in my experience. As my bridesmaids, I would have the bar staff, and for the band- the kitchen. Dont skip this place whilst in town, especially if it's after 9. 10/10 for the Glass Quarter aka the The Rusty Nickel aka the The Wooden Nickel.

The Woden Nickel has great small town pub vibes. I highly recommend the crispy, meaty and flavorful wings. You won't be disappointed!

Not all that for the money! Had to ask for a fork and was questioned why we needed one! We needed it for the one tablespoon of slaw!

Nestled along the river, it has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The food was just as impressive. My parents both ordered the burger with fries, and they couldn't stop talking about how juicy and flavorful the burgers were. The fries were fresh, hand-cut, and perfectly cooked. I had the chicken tortilla soup, and it was delicious, comforting, and flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive. The Eddy Pub exceeded our expectations. Between the beautiful setting, great food, and excellent service, it's absolutely worth the trip. We'll definitely be back the next time we're anywhere near the area!

The sandwiches were delicious, though difficult to eat as the breading kept falling off of the fried chicken since it was a bit too thick. The salad looked disappointing, though our guest is not one to complain. The fried halloumi cheese was too heavily breaded - at a proportion of almost 1:1 cheese:breading. Service remains sketchy. Unsweet teas were (eventually) refilled, but with sweet tea, etc. It's the only game in town, really. But if they want people to drive to Saxapahaw, they may want to up their game if possible.

My husband and I stopped in on a Thursday evening around 7pm and the place was pretty full. We sat ourselves at a table in the back room, and I noticed how laid back the place was, which is something I really appreciate. Sadly, it seemed that the relaxed vibe extended a bit too far and reflected on their cleanliness, as I noticed all of the chair rails were dusty, the floors a bit littered, our table sticky, and the plastic menus in need of replacing. Service, however, was wonderful. Our waitress was friendly and pretty attentive given how busy she was. My husband was happy with their on tap beer selection, deciding on Red Oak ($3 on Thursdays!). I went with a margarita and it wasn't the best, but thankfully I didn't pay much for it since it was also on special. They were out of the southwestern egg rolls I initially ordered, so I ended up going with the Philly cheesesteak and homemade chips. I enjoyed the cheesesteak's fresh bread; plenty of tender meat, peppers, and onions; and gooey cheese. It could have used more mayonnaise, but it was still quite good. The homemade chips were tasty but undercooked; if I had been hungrier, I definitely would have returned them and asked for a fresh batch. My husband absolutely devoured the cheeseburger and fries he ordered. He said that it was one of the best burgers he's had in quite a while, and this is a guy who loves burgers and eats them often. I want to return to Piedmont Ale House in the future. I think there are some things they seem to do really well, namely burgers and beer at really reasonable prices!

I had high hopes, but there is reason why fries made from fresh potatoes aren't widely offered at restaurants and it's mostly bc they have so much water content and easily come out soggy. And these came out exactly that way - soggy and limp. The chicken sandwich I ordered was a special, limited time offering, and it was also ok. It was advertised as having a slaw on top and that's a strong word for what was served. When I think slaw, I think robust, crunchy veggies with some vinegar bite and while I got a bit of that, it wasn't enough to balance out the fried, savoriness of the breaded chicken patty and bbq sauce. Service was friendly, but I wouldn't say they went above and beyond. I was eating alone at the bar, and I'm usually accustomed to more touch points than I got here, but it wasn't bad. I they checked in more, I may have felt more comfortable bringing up my dissatisfaction with the fries. Beer selection (on tap) was only ok. Definitely a personal preference but I wouldn't say say they had a wide variety of beer styles to select from - at least while I was there. Giving two stars bc I won't come back here on purpose - especially by myself.

Both the cheeseburger and cubano came with hefty servings of French fries fresh out of the fryer. Despite being a little salt heavy, they were flavorful and complimented the sandwiches well. The cubano and burger were both 3/5 for me but I enjoyed both. I'm not a huge meat fan... My boyfriend said they were excellent though! The fried artichoke salad is where I feel like I found my peace. The olives, tomatoes, salad dressing, and all other salad components were awesome. It tasted fresh and the ingredients complimented each other. The fried artichokes were a nice crunch too! I would be back to the Federal for the hot food and good vibes. Service was excellent here as well.
