I have only been here once, but the food was amazing! It's such a cozy place to eat, but there's an outdoor patio if you want the outdoor experience. I had to wait a little bit for the food, but the service was made with a smile. This is not a rush in and eat fast establishment so if you need that, order takeout ordering go fast food. This is where you go to eat great, locally sourced food and enjoy a drink with friends. We know one of the farmers that sourced their beef personally, which is very cool. The vibe is Southern + Irish? Inside has dark green walls and a great bar, but black and white checkered floors. Outside there's a screened-in porch with bar height seating as well as a long bench/table seating. Fans or heaters to keep it moderately cool or warm, depending on the weather. I went in this particular establishment with my husband and I was not pleased with any of the experience I had here. I am an Ex-server, I understand staffing issues. I did not appreciate the fact that there is not a sign telling guests to seat themselves, nor was I greeted at the door when I walked in. I had to wait for a server to come clean the table off mind you multiple tables had been sitting dirty for over 15 minutes. The server told me that she would come back in a little bit while we got settled into the table. I waited 15 minutes to order my food. My food was not at all what I had expected from this establishment. Instead of getting a normal amount of fries I got mostly crispy bits from leftover fried food. I also watched my server walk past my table 3 separate times and never once asked if we needed anything (like water). After I finally got a chance to order my food I waited 15 more minutes for my food to arrive (mind you it's a Tuesday night in Mebane). I ordered the Italian grinder Sammy, it's just fried bologna with cheese and banana peppers. I also had a hard time seeing the menus because of the lack of lighting (I understand it's a pub) but the patio was not well lit. I also watched as I waited for my food to arrive other tables get their entrees before me and they had sat down after me. I also received my check and was charged an extra .85¢ for what I am not sure. I also waited an additional 20 minutes for a single cup of ranch. Needless to say I will not be headed back until they get their establishment under control and have standards put in place. read more

Stumbled on this place by accident. The restaurant is in a non- descript storefront with absolutely no signage. If the woman in the shop next door wouldn't have told us about it we would have just walked by. First the good: Service- prompt friendly and attentive Food- we had onion rings that were great. Wife had the cheeseburger that she said was great, but in my opinion it was a little on the small side. I had the Power Bowl with chicken which I thought was both unique and satisfying. Atmosphere- is spartan, but not unpleasant. The real problem was the sound level of the music, which was more suited to a disco than a restaurant. read more

We've been anxiously waiting for the the WNP to come to Mebane, and have been a fan of the Hillsborough location for years. Their people, beer, burgers, and wings cannot be beat. If you like to be waited on hand and foot, this is probably not a good spot for you. It's fast-paced and crowded with limited seating. If you like genuinely awesome people, a more "raw" vibe, a laid back atmosphere and excellent music... this is it. You will likely not get a seat as you walk in and may need to wait (either standing outside or on the patio). But once you settle in and grab a pint and some grub, you may start to understand why this place is so popular with locals. read more
