I returned here with a friend after enjoying a Yelp event. It was very busy on a week day at lunch time and our lunch took a bit to arrive but it was all good once it did. I ordered the crispy cauliflower app which was delish! Don't let the raisins sway your decision - it's suttle but just right with the cauli. They add a romesco sauce that's flavorful add capers to add the salty goodness. Loved this! I also ordered the meatball app which was plenty. They were perfect size and more than enough for two. The sauce was rich and bold with flavor and a sprinkle of goat cheese was just right. I will return and try a few more apps next time. read more

The service was great! Everyone was welcoming and attentive. The server had great recommendations and I'm so glad I took them! I ordered the watermelon spritz, it was light and refreshing. We started with a board. Literally sooooo delicious! For main course, I ate the Italian beef deep panini and raspberry chicken. Probably the best salad I've ever eaten. The blue cheese and raspberry dressing balanced each other very well. The sauce with the panini added so much flavor. The west coaster would have tasted better with avocado. Recently came here for a 5 year anniversary. Lunch time was pretty open, place was clean and service was timely. Food was delicious 100% would suggest the caesar salad with the prosciutto brie panini on focaccia bread. it was sweet, salty, savory and probably one of the best caesar dressings i've had in the area (i got the half & half for lunch...i would suggest regular portions if you're very hungry) Now the issues...the AC must have not been working for it was a little hot and muggy in the restaurant. Also, when it was time to pay..none of our credit cards would read and the waitress claimed there was no cash registers on site and everything was digital. ( we noticed a register at the bar on the way out) Ultimately she couldn't get the handheld devices to work so we paid cash. This is not entirely a deal breaker since the food was good, BUT I would recommend to have cash on you!!! read more

Came to Postino for a solo lunch reading date and had a great time! I purchased the Roasted Mushroom Fondue- the melted white cheddar cheese was gooey and salty, but well-balanced with the much needed Calabrian chili oil, savory Cremini mushrooms, and perfectly buttery & crispy focaccia crostini. This was a great dish to have on a cold day! Service was amazing: my server took the time to provide his recommendations, offered to provide extra bread, and checked in regularly. One of our favorite casual date night spots! There is a wide variety of different dishes on the menu, but we loved the bruschetta boards. We tried 8 different ones, and all were excellent! The pesto and salami one was my favorite. The inside of the restaurant is pretty dimly lit, but we didn't mind and it helped create a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor patio looked nice and could be a good option for daytime. Our waitress was very attentive and let us know about the seasonal specials. I have been to Postino many times before, but this was my first time at the Raleigh location. While it's been 4 years since I've had Postino and the menu has changed a little, the bruschetta board is still a permanent fixture. We ordered a bruschetta board for an appetizer and I ordered the half panini & half salad for my entree. The bruschetta board is a must order because you can get 4 different kinds. The top tier choice is the salami pesto one. It's my absolute favorite. For my panini, I got the caprese one on ciabatta bread and the half of the mixed greens salad. The salad was delicious. This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food! read more

Postino is located in the Village District and has a free parking lot shared with other businesses. If that lot fills, there are other lots in the shopping center. Postino has been open for almost two years now. Postino has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor space is open-concept, with high ceilings and large windows. The lounge area has lower chairs and soft fabrics. The dining room has tables and booths. There is also a bar with a library wall separating it from the dining area. The walls are wood tones with pops of red and yellow. The high ceilings make the restaurant loud, so if music is playing, it is harder to hear conversations. I was on the same side as the jazz music. While Postino is a wine bar, it also offers many mocktails for those of us who do not want alcohol. I tend to order the Mockingbird because I enjoy it, but I need to try another one next time. The menu has twelve bruschetta boards. I have tried most of them on my visits; my last visit included the chef's special with asparagus and peas. I didn't care for this one in taste or form, as it needed a creamy base so the toppings didn't fall off. I also thought it would be more like the artichoke spread. The flavor wasn't good, and I do like asparagus. The smoked salmon was another new one I tried. I really liked this one, but then I realized mine was missing the onions. So this was good luck on my part, as I don't like onions. I didn't order it special, though, so the kitchen left it off. The Prosciutto with Figs & Mascarpone was another I enjoyed as the flavors came together well. Ricotta, Dates & Pistachio had been a favorite in the past, but I didn't care for it this visit. I think something was missing on this one, too. Service was friendly, functional and efficient, but not overly attentive. It is a busy place. This was my third trip to Postino's. I obviously enjoyed my previous two experiences, but this one was unfortunately sub-par. Ambience is still good and the food this time was mixed. Some of it was excellent, other dishes were served cold when they should've been hot. The drink selection was, as always, good. The major disappointment this time was our server. He was inordinately slow, inattentive, and seemed totally discombobulated about how to manage multiple tables. Some tables were waiting on a check (had to seek out the manager), others were waiting to be seen, and he took orders from tables out of sequence from when they were seated (one or my issues with him). Sure, I will probably go back again, but this latest experience definitely lessened the appeal of Postino's to me. read more

I gave four stars because the service is not the best unless you are lucky enough to have the amazing bartender act as your server. We stopped in here after walking with 100 thousand friends behind some busses down the middle of the road celebrating some form of chalice owned by a guy named Stanley. We both had the half panini and Cesar salad combo.. me with the tuscan tuna and her with the carpese both on focaccia bread. The salads were tasty, however the lettuce was not so much chopped as it was lovingly placed, whole, in the bowel with the ingredients. She actually had to cut hers. Also the not so green / more orange parts were prominent. Again, it tasted fine and there was ample cheese and dressing. The panini... paninis? paninie? were seasoned well and tasted very good. So, I decided to check out Postino on a brisk Saturday evening. I arrived around 6:30 and it was busy. I was fortunate to get a table at the bar. The service from the time I arrived to the moment I paid my bill was amazing. Postino's is definitely a vibe. From the great music to the coziness, to the excellent wine list and the amazing food!! I started with a glass of the Costa Red Blend and the Skewers. They were out of chicken, so I had two of the beef skewers and they were absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. The garlic yogurt sauce was also perfection. I then ordered a board with 4 toasts, smoked salmon, fresh mozzarella w/ tomato & basil, burrata w/ bacon, arugula and tomato and poached pear!! They were all so good, but being by myself it was hard to eat it all, I was getting tired of all the toast, so with the last couple, I'd just take the toppings off and eat them. A focaccia roll lined with rare tuna and a fresh side salad may not leave room for the promised warm doughnut finish. Pooled service kept glasses full and customers happy. I'm not sure how the other locations are decorated, but I love the quirky library look. Sit closer than usual; the high ceiling bounces every sound and creates a constant bustling vibe. It certainly caters to groups with shared plates and boards. Is that a waterfall? Nope--it's the sound of decanted wine deftly poured into glasses! With over 50 labels, you'll have plenty to choose from. A hidden gem for book clubs and friends from out of town, as the chic theme doesn't lend itself to a family restaurant. Food was good, laid back intimate vibes, service was slow, good happy hour specials. The decor was fun and hip. Lighting is low and dim with candles. This would be a great place for a date night or a casual hangout or dinner. The kids options are great and the portions are generous. The apple slices were thin cut but the kids didn't like them because they were salted presumably to keep them from browning. The house fried chips didn't taste too fresh and inconsistently seasoned, a lot were bland. The Chef's charcuterie board was lovely and had a great variety of items. I thought the hummus was really fantastic. Service was friendly but slow with big gaps in between orders when people wanted to order more drinks. There were also QR codes on the table promoting a buy a $100 gift card get $30 gift card deal but when we asked our server about it she said she would ask her manager about it (we had questions) and she never did. For 3 young children and 4 adults we ordered 3 kids meals, sweet potato fries, chef's charcuterie, shrimp scampi (its by weight but we got 5 shrimp to share and it comes with artichokes), 2 prosciutto and Brie paninis, two Italian beef dip (which I HIGHLY recommend. It was so delicious, definitely the best item on the menu to order by far), hot donut dots, and olive oil cake. Both desserts were delicious and moist. We wanted to order the meatballs with goat cheese as well but they were out of it. We also ordered a $6 pitcher of one of the rotating drinks on tap which was a Firestone grapefruit hef (yum but depends on what you're into), prickly pear marg, Negroni, and a couple other drinks I can't remember. All of the drinks were solid. Def come here for the drinks. The food is good too but it's also mainly paninis which is pretty casual food for the price. We were quickly seated after having made a reservation. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud. The wine came out a little slow but the meals felt fresh and were delivered well paced. They had good gluten free options that another in my group enjoyed not noticing a difference. While the bruschetta price felt a tad high compared to their meals the portion was decent and it was nice to mix and max. I really enjoyed my lunch at postino. I went alone and sat on the patio. The large umbrellas shared the area nicely but still had a great vibe, with the bright yellow color. Even though this patio is basically in a parking lot, it has a pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent. I had some bruschetta choices and the chicken and steak skewers. Paired with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, this was a perfect meal! My service was exceptional from start to finish. I was immediately treated when I walked in and made to feel welcome. Everyone who came to my table, offered a smile. And when I left, the bartender, who I had not spoke to said goodbye and thank you. Five stars from me. It was very hard to hear each other because the seating was so spaced out. It was also very warm because the door to the patio was left open right next to us. I wouldn't recommend sitting here if you can help it! We split two of the bruschetta boards and Nick's board. The bruschetta was good and they have a variety of flavors to choose from. The pimento cheese and pretzel bites were the stars on Nick's board for me. We all got different wines and had no complaints! I also got the brussels sprouts salad which was so yummy. The service was very slow. We were there for about 2 hours and sat with empty drinks for a while. I'm thinking maybe it was just because it was so busy and we were in the lounge area. Everything on the menu looked fantastic, but I narrowed my choice down to the P.R.E.A.M. Bowl. It had steak, broccolini, avocado, warm grains, and romesco. I had to look up ingredients of romesco and it's a Spanish sauce with roasted red peppers, almonds, garlic, tomatoes, and vinegar. It could be really special, but it's just meh. A group of 5 of us went recently for lunch and waited 20 minutes for menus. More time to place and order, then never saw server for 45 minutes. No check up visit, no lukewarm water refills, nothing. Food service was slow, but at least all of us were served simultaneously, and food was warm. The place smelled musty, and perhaps to cure that an overhead garage door was open admitting unwelcome gusts of hot, dusty street air and loud noises. I hate that I have to travel outside of Greensboro to find restaurants like this but glad that I can find them fairly nearby. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she wanted to go here and I would say she got her intelligence from me cuz this place is amazing. It's not your typical Italian restaurant because they don't have the spaghettis and the lasagnas and the veal parmesan and such but what they do have is spot on and we absolutely loved it. We ordered a couple of paninis and my daughter got a bruschetta board and the flavors in all of them were spectacular the focaccia bread was probably the best I've ever had. Honestly it reminded me of back in the day the good old Pizza Hut pan pizza crust where they would lather butter in the pizza pan and then cook the pizza and the crust was buttery and crunchy but then the inside of it was soft and chewy. The paninis were amazing because the bread was amazing and then the items inside of it just went well together. The ambiance in the place is very upscale but it's not too upscale that you don't feel uncomfortable if you come in wearing shorts and flip flops. All the wait staff was top notch and this was generally just an exceptional dining experience. We always love to go visit our daughter but places like this make it a little bit easier if we can kind of nudge her and say hey you want us to come and see you and let's go to dinner? This is in the old Cameron Village district and I would definitely recommend a reservation otherwise you're probably going to be waiting for a while not a large amount of seating but well worth the wait if you have to. read more

For my 1,000th review on Yelp, I decided to give this special spot to Postino, one of my favorite restaurants in the Triangle area! I've been to Postino's quite a few times now. I was introduced to them during a Yelp Elite event and ever since then, I keep coming back for more. The decor is inviting and warm, especially during the day when it's not as busy, it's more intimate. In the evening, Postino's is full of life and the energy is infectious. All of the staff here at Postino's is wonderful. We've never had any issues whatsoever. Service has always been top notch. As much as I love the staff and cozy atmosphere, it's the delicious and memorable food that has me asking my husband, "can we go to Postino's? I'll pay!" We always start with the meatballs and goat cheese appetizer. It's delicious and comforting. We also share a bruschetta board. We absolutely love the sweet and spicy pepper jam with goat cheese, that's probably our favorite to share. When they had the French onion, that was by far the best one ever! I wish the French onion was on their permanent menu. Our second favorite is the Brie, apple, and fig spread. We've tried many of their choices but from their permanent menu, the pepper jam and Brie bruschettas are our absolute must-gets. While we indulge in carbs, we also order a pitcher of beer each. These equate to about 2.5 pints so it's not a true pitcher, but enough for individuals if you're too selfish to share the devil's nectar.
