I went on a Thursday when they had $3 Bavarian pretzels and 1/2 price beers in bottles & cans. The pretzel was really good - not too salty. I ordered a sundried tomato pan-naani (their take on a panini with naan bread). I really loved it and the bread absolutely made the sandwich. My husband ordered the prosciutto grilled cheese. This is an excellent wine bar in all the ways. Good wines at reasonable prices, weekly wine tastings, a wine club for frequent flyers and friendly, knowledgeable staff. During the shutdown, they have used excellent health precautions so they could continue to serve their customers. And because of that, they have managed to stay open the whole time. The bar has been marked so that you never get closer than 6' to anyone else and it is cleaned between customers coming in to pick up. They have been making tastings-to-go so that you pick up and take home your 4 samples to sip along with a live streamed conversation about the wines. Once they were allowed to open for service, they spaced all seating safely and ask for reservations, allowing an hour and a half when they're busy. They have a patio in the back that allows for al fresco service, too. Management is polite but firm about mask wearing when not at your table and about the number of people allowed in a group. read more

I tried this place tonight for the first time ever! We all felt comfortable with the efforts they were making to keep us safe during this time. It is recommended that you make a reservation for a table since their are limited spots right now. I really enjoyed the glass of Riesling that I got and we all split a couple of tapas. The smoked salmon flatbread was amazing and the fish tasted really fresh! We also shared some chicken salad and a cheese plate that were great as well! So I'll start with the pro's: * Decent food * Great patio * Good location Cons: * Awkward signaling to customers - Burnt-out signage made it hard to find in the dark - Unclear flow for newbies... do I take a menu that's awkwardly down on my right as I walk in and grab a table, or wait to be seated? - Wait, there are cushions in the tub outside for the chairs? Why am I just finding this out now 3/4 of the way through my meal, and why is there no sign? * Slightly overpriced menu for the quality. Minus the side salad, which was excellent with the balsamic vinaigrette. * Service is too relaxed. It was our first time, and prompted our server for recommendations at least twice, and he did not volunteer anything, but instead responded "it depends..." * Speed of service is approaching abysmal. It took 10 minutes just to get our orders taken and to get our first glass of wine. My wife finally had to stop the server when he asked if "we needed more time" and she replied, "no I just need you to answer our questions now so we can order..." Took nearly 15mins. for a grilled cheese and grilled turkey sandwich to finally make its way to our table. Quite honestly, we felt ignored by this server. He didn't even come back to ask how our meals were... * Inefficient service observed: took this server four trips to bus two tables with only six settings. Much more economy and discretion could be made by proper training of waitstaff. In all, Cork & Cow is below average for this area and from our experience. Food was decent, but service needs a good amount of attention at this wine bar. read more

Great concept! It's basically a wine bar and retail wine store combined. Excellent wine selection, great tapas style appetizers and generally a cool place to hang out. You can walk in and buy your wine at reasonable retail pricing and take it to go. However, if you wish to enjoy your wine there it's only a $5 corkage fee, which is considerably less expensive than a typical bar/restaurant mark up. I cannot stress enough the quality of selection. This is not grocery store wine. Nothing like this in Burlington. I highly recommend Cork & Cow. read more

Avoid this place. Understaffed. "Gourmet" grilled cheese is served on a paper plate. The "garnish of chips and fruit" was 3 mushy raspberries and some sort of cheap bagged fries snack from a bag. Waited 10 minutes to get a napkin from my server. Bar stools are entirely too short for the bar which creates a difficult dining experience. Extremely loud when the restaurant is full. The server checked on me once during my entire meal. My credit card sat on my table for 8 minutes before anyone even noticed it and asked if I wanted to cash out. Will never come back. read more

I was kind of surprised olives weren't more prominent, but I'm an olive lover. It definitely was a cute place. I was just a little disappointed. We went on a Saturday so we bought a bottle of wine. The wine was decent nothing special but I'd definitely drink it again. I was a little confused on the menu because some things weren't priced. I asked the price of a flight ( keep in mind everywhere I've ever gotten a flight at, wine or beer has always had a set price) and the server was confused on why I was asking that and seemed to assume that I would just know that they average out the prices of the 3 wines. So that was super confusing for me personally. Also we ordered the Brie and also got a order of crackers, this was so disappointing. Not the quality but the quantity. We got a piece of Brie that was about a 1x1x1x with 5 crackers for $6. It just seemed a little small in general. They couldn't even give us 6 crackers for us to each have our own. We had to split the 5th one. I've definitely been to more high end places and have payed $10 for Brie and crackers and have gotten 2- 3 wedges of Brie and a big plate of crackers. I understand we are in hard times but you also have to satisfy the customer and even though the wine was good, getting ripped off for the food made us not want to ever come here again just because we know we can get better stuff somewhere else for a few bucks more. read more

Absolutely one of the most positive experiences I've had in Burlington. My friend and I have gone several times. The waitstaff is super friendly, fun to talk to, and extremely helpful when choosing which wine to have. The atmosphere is super comfortable. You can relax on a couch or at a different sized and shaped tables. Their patio looks directly over the pond at Alamance Crossing. The cinnamon goat cheese spread is superb and the cheese selection is excellent. They also have bottled beer if someone in your party prefers it to wine. read more

This place is a wonderful, super cute wine bar with a fabulous patio nestled in Alamance crossing mall. My fur baby and I came here spontaneously after reading some good reviews for a bite to eat. Not only were they more than nice about my dog on the patio, they even brought him a bowl of water and some dog bones. They have an extensive wine selection, and even some flights. They also have bottled beer for non wine drinkers. The food all sounded really good, but I just had a small cheese platter called the stray and added prosciutto. The fruit was very fresh, and the cheese and prosciutto were delicious. Next time I'll get the warm fig salad- it sounded so good! The woman working was incredibly sweet and attentive, but not overbearing. The patio is on the back side of the restaurant, so it faces a lot of vegetation and a large fountain, which makes it really pleasant. This would be a great place to hang out with friends, and I did see a happy hour Wednesday and Thursday's from 4-7. I would definitely recommend this and I will definitely be back! read more
