All…read moreI needed was a sim card for my phone... when I walked in, the place was packed... every staff member was busy, but someone one of the staff members came and asked me what brought me in... I said I needed a sim card for my phone... the staff member took be to the UVerse area to be helped by the person there, was in and out of the store in less then 5 minutes! I was really surprised at how fast the whole thing took... this location is also a lot bigger then the one on Liberty and they have a separate room to experience UVerse... Hellish initial switch logistics (phones were lost in the mail) & cumbersome setup on same (not better) with no opportunity to select phone options, phones leaves us as totally dissatisfied customers. Also we never received the reward gift cards we were promised. Ha! That was a HUGE LIE. Was Verizon more expensive? Yes. Was the service measurably better? Absolutely. Clear tape held the thing together and made it usable. But this was not a long term solution. While I found A2 Phone Repair with some glowing reviews on Yelp, it was the recommendation from a fellow at the AT&T Store on Washtenaw which sealed the deal. A quick phone call confirmed the screen was in stock, and produced an estimate for the price of the job and how long it would take. Drop off was a breeze. The shop was clean and professional looking. As was the fellow behind the desk. The repair took just a little longer than promised, about three hours versus two, but that was no biggie. $140 for the whole thing was worth it for my kiddo to have a phone that looked as good as new... without the hassle of setting up a new phone.

I decided to drive down to Washington Street, rather than call on the telephone. I talked with Jack on the phone, and he came right over to look at my phone. After examining the patient, he decided to download the iOS update again, and reboot my phone. After that I was able to access my iCloud, and restore the phone back to normal. Jack does amazing work, and if I could give this review 10-stars I would. IMHO, Jack is really the "IPhone/Macbook Whisperer" and does a truly professional job all the way.
