I was so excited to get my house deep cleaned before my husband came home from deployment. I am a very tidy person, so what I really needed was someone to come do the baseboards, ceiling fans, doors, cabinets, etc. I spoke with Melody and she said all these things are included in a deep clean. I also asked to have my home steam cleaned. I specifically told her that I wanted my vertical blinds cleaned because my two young boys had gotten hand prints all over them. I wrote out a $300 check for my less than 2,000 square foot home and left it on the counter. The crew came and went, but when I returned home I was extremely disappointed. The blinds had not even been touched, there was dust on the ceiling fans, toothpaste smears on the bathroom cabinets, smears on kitchen cabinets, some kind of gunk on the baseboards in the kitchen, a huge glob of toothpaste on the faucet., and the list goes on. I called Melody and she sent her crew back the next day. She told me to go around the house and make a list of all the things they missed. I don't have time to do that! I wanted it done properly the first time. After all, they are supposedly the professionals here. After the second cleaning, there were still so many things that were incomplete! After contacting Melody again, she agreed to refund me half my money, $150. She apologized and she was even the one that came up with the dollar amount. She promised to call the next day once she figured out how she could refund the money. She said that she would deliver my refund to my house personally if need be. Two days go by and no call from Melody. Of course, my check was cashed though. Over the next several days, I called, left voice mails, sent e-mails, and even a text. On my final voice mail, I said that I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because she had seemed so professional up until now. I also said that I would be contacting BBB if I didn't hear back from her. It's been about a month, and still no contact has been made on Melody's part. That is the part that is the most upsetting. I feel like I've been cheated and this experience has left me feeling as though I can not trust another cleaning service in the future. read more
