They wanted half of the quote money up front, did not even have half of our belongings listed and the CU (cubic units) was short, about 1,000 cu. Plus, other issues we will not mention. We felt they lacked proper communication and dealings were not professional from our standpoint. My husband contacted "VALLEY CUSTOM MOVERS" from Nampa, ID and we cannot say enough great things about them. Corey is one of the owners. came to our home and physically walked through and listed everything with us. He listened, answered all our questions and always personally returned all our calls after were gave him the job. Yes, their quote was right on, matched everything we wanted moved and the quote was a very great price for what we needed. His crew did complete packing, loading and storing all belongings in their warehouse until we have a new home out of state. On our job we had 1 owner & 5 crew members and each one of them were very efficient in what they were doing. They each knew what needed to be done. The packing of our home (1,900+ sq ft) home was completed in about 5 hours. The next day it only took them about 2 hours + to load 2 trucks and take our belongings to their warehouse. My husband was thrilled with their professionalism, quality of work and how they each asked questions. To be sure that what was being moved would go into the trucks and items that needed to be left. They are like a one shop move with the same crew packing, loading, storing and delivering our belongings to our new home and setting up all our furniture. They all get an A+ rating from us from Tara in the office to Corey and the other owners and all their crew.

One of them even talked about opening my upstairs window and throwing everything that's not breakable out of the window. I can tell you his pricing was better than everyone else's and he was much more accurate at estimating time needed then any other company I spoke with. I met with the team of movers at our storage unit and they were there and ready to work before I got there. I showed them the three storage units we had and was told it wouldn't take long. They even turned in my keys with the storage unit so I wouldn't have to stay while they loaded everything. It took them an hour and a half to load everything, which was absolutely incredible. They met me at the new house, did a quick walk through and started to unload. They even helped us to unload the POD we had in the driveway. These guys were awesome! Professional, helpful, and willing to do whatever needed to ensure our experience with Cross Town was top notch. The overall move took only 4 hours, which was less than was bid. Then I requested another move within a year from same upstairs room to a 2bd apt. The first team was late. About midway into loading the truck, I was told there was a problem with the first team not competently loading their truck fast enough, then causing a SECOND team to show up at the destination. This was going to be betterand faster and should cost about the same as last time. NO. The first team failed me. (One of the team members kept going into the moving truck and taking vape hits. Now, I didn't think too much of that at the time. Thought it might help him enjoy his job better?) ugh. Then I overhear a comment saying "There's so much little stuff." Really? since when do movers bitch...lol So the second team was in and out and done by dark. There was some time where the apt peeps messed up and had to wait, but. Still, I was charged $1650 for this ridiculous move. (I was shocked. I have never in my life paid close to that.) I did make a comment about what it would be to move a house. $20,000? I would not recommend this company at all. The movers showed up on time and seemed friendly…read moreenough, but that is about the only good thing I have to say. They seemed inexperienced and there were many problems: 1) I asked for 4 movers and 2 trucks for the whole day. After 3 hours, the two most energetic and careful guys left on another job! They came back 3 hours later and helped the other two guys finish. If I would have had all 4 movers the whole day, I think the performance would have been better. The two movers who were here all day NEVER took a break or ate lunch! It's no wonder they got sloppy, especially towards the end as they were trying to finish and go home. 2) The movers unloaded the truck full of boxes BEFORE they unloaded the furniture. Who does that? Since there were boxes in the way, some of the furniture didn't get placed where it should have been. And they didn't keep all the pieces of the bed together, so we couldn't put our bed together for a week afterwards until we found the missing piece in the garage. 3) They stacked big boxes on top of little ones. 4) They had to open the door of the refrigerator to get it through the narrow doorway, and they broke off the lower rack on the door. We've never found it so I suspect they threw it away. They also broke my bird bath. It was intact and fine in the storage unit but when we checked in on the patio (to add water), the top was on the ground and the base was beside it. The concrete was broken and unable to be fixed. 5) There are multiple dings, scratches, and dents on our walls. They were not careful with furniture, seeming more concerned with speed than being careful. 6) Even though boxes were labeled, we found boxes misplaced throughout the house. Boxes that should have been in the basement were placed in the garage and vice versa. Many boxes were placed with the labels facing the walls, so we had to move stacks of boxes to even see what the box contained and to figure out which room the box was supposed to have been placed in. 7) They obviously got in a hurry at the end and haphazardly threw the remaining items in the garage. There was no rhyme or reason to the placement of items; it was clear they simply dropped items wherever there was space available and without regard as to which room the item was supposed to be in. I left a message requesting that the owner Dan call back to discuss the poor performance and broken refrigerator door. He never did. Although this company had a lower hourly rate than some of the other moving companies I called, I would rather have paid $10 more per hour for better quality service. You really do get what you pay for. You'd be better off paying minimum wage to a couple of high school students and treating them to a pizza than hiring this company.

He was rude, kept interupting me and when I respectfully told him i felt like he was treating me unkindly, he laughed! I told him i am a senior citizen and very ill. I feel traumatised by how i was treated. We ended up saving over $10,000 going with PODS. We hired someone on this end to pack our POD and someone on the other end to unload. I am so very dissapointed in how Logan treated me. Silver lining, his rudeness was the catalyst to find a company to move us that has excellent customer service and saved us $10,000!
