OK so here is the deal, we have been eating here for years, usually for the AWESOME Friday fish special, so what I am about to tell you may shock you... something wasn't right with that beautiful tenderloin in the picture. Whatttttt? Yep it was off, perhaps a tad spoiled? So how do I still give five stars? Why am I not b!t€h!ng like so many on here over simple problems? Let me tell you. This establishment is top notch, they serve awesome breakfast and even better fish dinners. They handled my complaint professionally, made us different meals (my dad and I both came for the Tenderloin), and even picked up the tab, which lead to a very healthy tip for the waitress. We stopped at this cafe that we had never noticed Before. They have been there 47 years my hubby got a meatloaf Manhattan he said it was great! I ordered ham and bean soup with hot corn bread included it was wonderful!!! We were getting ready to leave and a horrid Storm hit we stayed right in the cafe for like 30 minutes before it was safe to leave. The food and prices great check it out!!!! If you like traditional home-cooked food you are in for a treat! The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I had the breakfast stacker and it was delicious! A biscuit covered with sausage, eggs, cheese and a big scoop of sausage gravy. I will definitely be ba k here to eat again! FYI there is even room to park my tractor and trailer. read more

It's further north within view of the BP gas station. Quaint little spot that's clean and friendly. Coffee is good for a diner and the place had quite a few customers for 7:00am (good sign). The place is throwback which I love. Reminds me of a spot that I'd stop with my folks on a road trip in the 80's. That said, the place is clean and well maintained considering its age. Waitress was very nice, prompt to get my order in, quick with the coffee, and pointed me toward the specials. Food was good and came out fast. When I first walked into the 20th Century Restaurant I felt like I was walking straight into the diner of John Mellencamp's "The Lonesome Jubilee" album. This roadside diner sports 1950s decor complete with hanging globe lights and fully functional public telephone. Cushy booths beside large glass windows look out on U.S. 6 and a tractor auction yard. I am half surprised hipsters have not tried to gentrify this place! The menu consists of all American fare, and in true Hoosier fashion highlights a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. They have a great breakfast and lunch the prices are great and the plates are always full. You definitely get your money worth. I have not personally ate dinner here, but I know people that have and they say the same is true for there dinner as breakfast and lunch. The staff is always friendly and make sure you are taken care of. I give the food and staff two thumb's up. read more

Waitress was nice... Told me they didnt have any new york strip thawed so couldn't get that.... Ordered roast beef and taters... It's was thrown together and put in microwave.... White bread was hotter than the meat... Roast beef was like leather... Was not good.. Shame cause they have truck parking and we don't get many places to sit down and eat.... Just a good old fashion diner in the middle of the country that has good food and reasonable prices. It isn't big and definitely doesn't look like a whole lot from the outside, but you are sure to see the locals gather here and they will say it is one of the areas little gems. Just a good fashion diner. Good food, good price and good service. We were there for lunch, but appeared everyone was eating breakfast, which all looked yummy. Had the fried tenderloin. Had to cut the tenderloin in half and doubled up to get it to fit on the bun. Floors and carpet were in need of some cleaning or update, but everything else was clean. read more
