The phone…read morestaff is creepy, the DAC is careless and smug and this PRIVATE EQUITY is out only for $ at your expense. I had a biopsy and after finding out I have a large cancer on my lower back I cancelled the necessary surgery there to go to Virginia Mason on Monday, knowing time is important, still w no schedule and expecting a delay. That's how much I HATE THIS COMPANY. There's much I won't mention. Too much. If you have a real medical condition go to a REAL Doctor. This ain't the joint.

The Handshake Says It All: Unbiased Review of Racial Microaggressions in Healthcare…read more Let me be crystal clear about my experience with Preston Lehr, PA and this dermatology practice: it was unacceptable. As a Black woman, I was subjected to treatment that exemplifies the medical disparities POC face daily in healthcare settings. On my first visit to discuss the removal of skin tags and to have PA Lehr examine my ruptured cyst, his behavior immediately made me uncomfortable. He greeted me with an exaggerated, stereotypical handshake that felt forced and inappropriate--something I guarantee he doesn't do with his white patients in Edmonds. During this visit, he prescribed a powerful antibiotic for my ruptured cyst without mentioning it needed to be taken with food. This potentially dangerous oversight was only caught by my pharmacist, not the doctor who prescribed it. When I returned for my second visit to have the skin tags removed, PA Lehr greeted me with the same uncomfortable handshake. When I asked if the procedure would hurt, his dismissive response that "it's not going to hurt him" was both condescending and unprofessional. I had to specifically ask about aftercare instructions myself--information that should be provided automatically. For my third visit to address the now-calmed cyst, PA Lehr once again greeted me with the same inappropriate handshake. I couldn't help but think: would a 50-year-old white woman, man or non-binary person be treated this way? Absolutely not. During the procedure, he provided minimal explanation and zero aftercare guidance. Only the support staff stepped in to give me the proper information I needed. The support staff was competent, but they can't compensate for a doctor who treats patients differently based on how they look. This is medical racism, plain and simple--not jokes, not lightheartedness, but the exact kind of differential treatment that research consistently shows undermines care for communities of color. I'm giving two stars solely because: 1) The procedures were technically completed and 2) The support staff provided information the PA should have given. I will never return to this practice and strongly advise against it for anyone--ESPECIALLY people of color who deserve healthcare providers who see and respect them as human beings deserving equal care and dignity.

I booked it, then emailed her to verify that she would be able to see me on a holiday. Unfortunately, she never responded to my email. I saw other reviews that mentioned her lack of communicating, as well. (I have never had issues receiving emails to this account, and checked my spam/junk folder.) Less than two weeks before my appointment, and after I had taken time off from work (I had to take off the weekend too, which pays more), she texted me with: "I thought I would be able to work that day but my circumstances have recently changed." That doesn't sound like an emergency. Turns out it was not, and that family "unexpectedly" showed up for Thanksgiving. So keep in mind that if her family unexpectedly shows up, or anything that she deems *more* important than your appointment, that you will be cancelled. This is taking little to no consideration that you, as the client, have already taken off several work days well in advance. Or, that you have to book time off months in advance. So, regardless if she believes 2 weeks is enough notice or not, jobs do not normally allow you to just pick those work days back up. Turns out this has happened with other clients, too. Super unprofessional. I re-booked and when I got there, she had me fill out an Intake Form, which was a waste of time since I had already asked if there was paperwork I needed to fill out before her appointment. So, I spent time doing that when my appointment was supposed to start, then she has to review the paperwork. She said this was "just how she does it," but it's not an efficient use of either of our time. Once, that was done she said she couldn't do the treatment due to having facial breakouts. She said she sent me pre-care instructions, but I never received anything. This was another waste of time since I had, once again, taken time off of work for this. Overall, her communication and professionalism were lacking, and she came off as new, which maybe she is. I recommend looking elsewhere.

Stefan is extremely skilled and detail-oriented. I visited for Botox and IPL, and while I've only had one session, I'm already very pleased with my results. Stefan walked me through each procedure and set very realistic expectations, which I really appreciated. During my IPL treatment, he was incredibly careful, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable. My skin looked great afterward, and I had little to no side effects. He also sent me detailed aftercare instructions and followed up after my visit. He never pushed any treatments on me -- I felt completely in control of my treatment plan. Stefan's background as an emergency room nurse really put me at ease about trying cosmetic treatments for the first time. I could tell he wasn't going to take any chances with my skin. I'd definitely recommend him, and I'm already planning my next appointment.

I didn't think much of it but then Dr Emma Doody came over to me while the drip was in progress and said she was going to take some blood and I thought okay this must be standard for doing the drip, I didn't really question it because it just seemed like it was something that she was doing with everyone. I didn't ask for it and I was never told at the time that it was optional and that there was an additional fee. A few weeks (at least three) had gone by and I never got the results and I thought that was interesting, so I called them first of all and never received a call back. The call was handled by an answering service. Then I wrote to them and they immediately got back to me with the results of the blood test which I already knew everything on that blood test from a blood test that I asked for at my naturopath's office. I was a bit perplexed so I got in touch with my own naturopath and I asked is it just standard operating procedure to take someone's blood without them asking for it and without telling them there's an additional fee for it while you're getting a wellness trip? He said no, you should have been advised and offered the blood test as an option. I then wrote back to the clinic and told them that I was dissatisfied that I had been charged an extra $150 for the blood test when in fact I never asked for it. They never wrote back. So this is why I don't recommend them. Please be aware that they will try to do this with you and you have the option to decline. I waited for a while before posting my review in hopes that they would come forth and do the right thing and they have not reached out.
