Basically, they are Private Equity scammers who take advantage of seniors and the uninformed. ALL their offices operate this way. If you choose to support this kind of business, they're the ones for you. My experience with a non-doctor who rushed through the excision in my back was poor too. Mark Twain said it best about suckers. Look up the quote about people fooled.

Other services I received worked as expected and I was happy with those results. My experience with laser hair removal was different. The treatment was presented to me as a six session process intended to remove hair. While I did notice some reduction in certain areas, I did not experience full removal and still have visible hair growth that requires shaving. The results have also been somewhat uneven, with some areas responding more than others. I also paid for my daughter to receive the same treatment, and she has had a similar experience with continued hair growth after completing her sessions. When I followed up about my results, I was given different guidance than others I know who had the same treatment. Some people were offered additional sessions, while others, including myself, were not. This made the follow up experience feel inconsistent. Over time, the explanation shifted from removal to reduction, which did not fully align with how the treatment had initially been described to me. I want to emphasize that the team themselves were always pleasant and professional, and I appreciated their care throughout the process. However, the laser treatment did not meet my expectations based on how it was presented. The owner operates entirely on ambiguity, using flyers posted on the walls as a substitute for clear communication or actual signed consumer consent. She seems to genuinely not understand how ambiguous or unprofessional she is. We asked her repeatedly, "What is included in this membership/package?" Every time, she would get cagey and dodge the question by replying with, "What are you interested in?" She regularly included extra services that were not part of the membership, but never consistently, making it impossible to know what we were actually paying for. We actually witnessed this exact scenario play out with another customer a couple of months ago. We arrived for an appointment to find a frantic woman standing at the front desk hitting the bell over and over again. The owner literally called my phone from outside, hiding in her car behind the building because she refused to face the customer. She told me on the phone she couldn't understand why the woman was upset about an unexpected bill, insisting her prices were clear. They are not. The exact same thing just happened to us. My wife discussed a potential future treatment. Without providing a written estimate, discussing a price out loud, or obtaining explicit billing authorization, the owner immediately charged our credit card $1,280. When we reached out to dispute this massive charge, she claimed "all sales are final" for a service that hadn't even been rendered yet, claiming that the price was posted on flyers in her office yet refused to let my wife view the flyer in the room to confirm the pricing, and flatly refused to provide a copy of the foundational contract we supposedly signed months ago. Her justification was that because the price was on a flyer on the wall, she had the right to charge our card without asking. Furthermore, we discovered we were being billed a $299 monthly membership fee each, despite never signing a membership agreement or contract. We have initiated a formal dispute with our credit card company for unauthorized billing and services not rendered, and we are filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Washington State Attorney General. Hanging a flyer on a wall does not give a business the right to run a customer's credit card without permission. The operations here are completely unethical. Save yourself the financial headache and go elsewhere.

When I expressed my concerns to the stylist, Michelle, she told me that my hair was too damaged to have bleach applied. However, this was never discussed before or during my consultation. I came to the appointment expecting to receive the balayage service I had requested, which I understood would involve lightening my hair. On April 7, I returned to the salon to have my hair evaluated and to purchase products recommended to strengthen my hair so that I could receive a corrective balayage at no additional cost. On May 22, my hair was tested again to determine whether it was healthy enough to proceed with the balayage service. I then returned on June 6 for the corrective appointment. This time, I was assigned a different stylist, Robyn. While I appreciate that Robyn was asked to correct a service originally performed by another stylist, I was disappointed by the way I was treated during the appointment. No color barrier or protectant was applied around my hairline, and dark dye ended up on my face. No one offered me a towel or assistance to remove it. After the color service, another stylist applied toner and began drying my hair. My hair was left damp, and when I asked whether a brush would be used during the blow-dry, I was told that a brush would simply get caught in my hair. Once the drying stopped, the service appeared to be over. No one provided a mirror for me to view the final result, reviewed the color with me, checked for missed spots, or ensured I was satisfied with the outcome. As I was leaving, Robin thanked me for trusting her with my hair. While I understand the sentiment, the comment felt awkward given that it was made in front of Michelle, the stylist whose work had led to the corrective appointment. I have been a customer of Ulta for approximately 10 years. While I may not be one of your highest-spending clients, I have remained loyal to the company and have consistently chosen Ulta for my beauty needs. Based on my long history as a customer, I expected a higher level of professionalism, communication, and customer care than what I experienced during these appointments.
