The treatment was presented to me as a six session process intended to remove hair. While I did notice some reduction in certain areas, I did not experience full removal and still have visible hair growth that requires shaving. The results have also been somewhat uneven, with some areas responding more than others. I also paid for my daughter to receive the same treatment, and she has had a similar experience with continued hair growth after completing her sessions. When I followed up about my results, I was given different guidance than others I know who had the same treatment. Some people were offered additional sessions, while others, including myself, were not. This made the follow up experience feel inconsistent. Over time, the explanation shifted from removal to reduction, which did not fully align with how the treatment had initially been described to me. I want to emphasize that the team themselves were always pleasant and professional, and I appreciated their care throughout the process. She then noticed I had another skin problem that was not serious, but cosmetically annoying for me, and wrote a prescription for this special cream (it helped!). I mentioned dry skin and she recommended 'Amlactin'. Even recommended getting it at Costco for the best price. I have to schedule another appointment with this Derm Whiz, as I need advice for thinning hair, and feel certain she can help me. I was interested in moving forward and started setting up a consultation. While I was making the consultation, a separate email came a couple days later, also from Debra, responding to my inquiry with a completely different price (almost 50% more expensive!). I tried to clarify that I would be willing to pay the first price, but not the second one, and asked if that was ok. This is when things got weird - when I brought up the two separate quotes, instead of apologizing Debra got defensive and refused to answer which price she would actually charge. She said I would just have to wait and see about the price until I came in for the consultation. Her responses seemed very rude and condescending to me. For example, when I asked why the price changed she responded "Our promotions change from month to month and quotes can be valid for two weeks". Since it was still less than a week since I was sent the first price, I tried asking whether the first price would still be valid if I came and paid for it within two weeks. But she refused to answer - I asked directly "could the price be different depending on whether I come in before the 2 week period?" and "is there still a possibility of getting the first price if the consultation goes well, or are you only offering the second price now?" She flat out refused to answer these questions and just said I would need to come in to find out (without any clarity on whether I should come in within the two weeks.) As someone with a busy schedule, I don't want to come in for an appointment if she is no longer considering the originally quoted price. Why waste everyone's time? Obviously things can change during the consult, but no other medispa has ever had an issue discussing their specials and base prices with me. I found this entire exchange super frustrating and I don't understand Debra's motivations unless she is trying to pressure me into paying more than I'm willing to, or just intentionally being rude and defensive about her mistake of sending two separate prices. I feel that she has wasted my time by telling me different things and making this simple discussion needlessly complicated. I can't imagine what she would be like to deal with if an actual issue came up! NuMe has offered the same service at the lower price quoted from Debra, so I will be going there. I am a 31 year old female that had been suffering with an abundance of unwanted facial hair since I was 15yo or so. Due to my insecurities I didn't talk to anyone about it when I was younger and continued to suffer silently well into adult hood. I tried several things to rid myself of the unwanted hair - waxing, plucking, using an epilator...... yeah ouch!..... all failed. So everyday before I left my house I had to shave...... This year for an early Christmas present my parents offered to pay for laser hair removal and ordered me to make an appointment! LOL - I had tried to do this before, but had, had a awful consultation experience with another location or was it this one, under different management - not really sure! This time meeting with the girls at American Laser Skincare in Lynnwood, WA was a completely different experience. I found ALL of them to be pleasant, caring and great at what they do. All of them have been very supportive of my whining about the process... Face it... it's a laser - IT HURTS!! but there effective ways to make it tolerable. :) By my 3rd treatment (one a month for 10 treatments), I had at least a 75% visible, reduction (if not more) in the treatment area - which for what I was growing, is a HUGE amount. i no longer have to shave EVERY time I leave the house. No longer do I care, or have to check..... The freedom from the mirror and confidence these wonderful ladies have given to me is priceless. For all of you naysayers out there - this is my story and experience - this doesn't mean that ever person is going to have great results. In 2 weeks I go back for my 5th treatment out of 10 and was told at my last treatment that they are getting in a new laser machine and it is the Cadillac of lasers..... Her oh so light moisturizer has been the only moisturizer I could use on my skin with no reaction and the charcoal cleanser is gentle/exfoliating yet gives you a bit of a glow. Her gentle cleanser (pink label) is gentle for the kiddos to use without stripping or adding questionable oils that may break you out. Over the years I would come by and no one was there during listed hours. I would call and would always get a call back every time and encouraged to order online. I reckon due to personal/pandemic changes. Tbh I was a little irritated and it was inconvenient making the drive there for not it to be open. My husband underwent an outpatient cyst removal procedure with Dr. Song on May 19, 2026. We were told the procedure went as planned and were given standard aftercare instructions, including avoiding showers and exercise for 24 hours and applying Vaseline afterward. The following day, less than 24 hours after the procedure, my husband began bleeding heavily through layers of gauze, bandages, and eventually his clothing. We contacted Frontier Dermatology and were instructed to have him lie down and apply pressure. We followed those instructions exactly, but the bleeding continued and worsened. When we called the after-hours physician, we repeatedly sought guidance about whether we should go to the ER. Despite explaining the situation in detail, we were unable to get a clear answer. We were told we would "probably end up at the ER" but were also told that no one could definitively recommend that course of action without seeing him. We first went to urgent care, where the physician was uncomfortable treating the wounds because of their depth and complexity. After attempts to stop the bleeding failed, we were sent directly to the emergency room. At the ER, the physician treated the wounds with silver nitrate to stop the bleeding after hours of unsuccessful attempts elsewhere. We did not return home until approximately 1:00 a.m. The next day, I filed a formal complaint with Frontier Dermatology regarding both the procedure and the lack of adequate after-hours support. During that conversation, I learned my husband had no follow-up appointment scheduled for two months. Shortly afterward, Dr. Song personally called my husband and defended the treatment decisions that had been made. Because we were concerned by everything that had happened, my husband sought a second opinion from another dermatologist. That dermatologist informed him that the wounds were infected and required antibiotics and additional treatment. We were also told that corrective care would now be necessary to reduce the likelihood of significant scarring. During follow-up communication, we learned that no pathology report had been performed on the tissue removed during the procedure. What should have been a routine outpatient procedure resulted in severe bleeding, an urgent care visit, an ER visit, an infection, additional medical treatment, missed time, stress, and ongoing concerns about long-term scarring. We understand that complications can happen in medicine. What troubled us most was the combination of the outcome itself, the difficulty obtaining clear guidance when things went wrong, and the need to seek care elsewhere to address the resulting complications. I hope sharing our experience helps other patients ask questions, seek second opinions when necessary, and make informed decisions about their care.
