Due to a major mistake on the venue's end, our couple's wedding cake was served to a different event the day before the wedding. Yes... the entire cake was gone. We were left without a cake for the bride and groom to cut on their wedding day, and with very little time to fix it. Enter Batter Up Bakery... and they absolutely saved the day. From the very first interaction, Samantha at the front counter was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful. Selena, the decorator, did an unbelievable job recreating the cake exactly as originally designed. And Jim, the owner who handled delivery, was professional, communicative, and ensured everything arrived perfectly. They stepped in quickly and created a replacement cake that looked identical to what the couple originally ordered. Not only was it visually perfect, but it was also delicious. The entire process was seamless and handled with such care. The most incredible part? The bride had no idea anything had gone wrong until after the wedding. Everything felt flawless, and that is exactly what you hope for as a planner. In all my years in the industry, I have never experienced customer service like this. We ordered the Classic Breakfast Sandwich with breakfast sausage and the Monterey Breakfast Sandwich. Both were really good, and the flavors blended together well. The sandwiches are definitely packed and on the richer side with all the cheese and sauces, which was a little heavy for my personal preference. The portions are generous enough that I honestly think the two of us could have shared one sandwich and been satisfied. We also tried the Earl Grey Latte with matcha instead of espresso. I really liked the earl grey and matcha combination, but the matcha itself leaned pretty powdery, which was hard to enjoy fully. It's one of the better matcha lattes I've had in Temecula, but I've found the matcha quality in the area to be pretty underwhelming overall. I'd be more interested in trying their coffee next time. Overall, I enjoyed Little Goat Kitchen & Bakeshop and can definitely see myself coming back to try more of the food. We picked up the Cinnamon Burst Bread, a cinnamon roll, a honey bran muffin (which completely stole the show for me; it was incredibly moist and I'd come back just for that) and an almond poppy seed scone. The service here was just as impressive. Everyone was so friendly and personable and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there. I also loved their "Giving Rack," where anyone in need can take free baked goods. It's such a thoughtful idea and says a lot about the kind of business they are.
