I ordered special banh mi, crispy pork belly banh mi, and the grilled pork skewer. The special was good but I didn't like the bread. The crispy pork belly was nothing of that sort. There was a boba place here before that I tried to visit, but it was always closed. Not sure if it's the same or this is a new one? Went in for our first visit, the girl was soft spoken and polite. Ordered the special noodle plate, a mango smoothie with brown sugar boba (some were hard and some were soft), a pork belly banh mi and 3 piece egg rolls. Thought the egg rolls would be made fresh, we came in 2 hours before closing, but they were taken from the display in front. It was crispy on the outside, but horribly tough, chewy and stale on the inside, worried about how long it has been sitting out. The sandwich was not good with the pork belly fat, it saturated the bread and it was oily and unappetizing, but I was hungry. My stomach was hurting immediately after, couldn't sleep all night and the next day my stomach is still having issues. I wouldn't recommend the sandwich, don't believe it was the egg rolls as my kid had some in her plate and she is fine. The smoothie was very good (blended with fresh fruit) and my kid enjoyed her plate. The aesthetic in here is fun and playful, albeit the chairs are uncomfortable and tables are very small. It was a little off putting that both workers were sitting on their phones for our whole visit. I may come back to try something else, like the noodle plate or a boba drink, I'd also give another banh mi a try as well, but I now know to steer clear from the pork belly. read more

I went with my sister today for a late lunch and we were both very happy with our sandwiches. I got the pork belly and she got the grilled pork. Both sandwiches were tasty with well seasoned meats and crisp fresh veggies. If you're not a spicy person make sure you let them know so they leave off the jalapeño (but they ARE delicious in the sandwich). The bread was fresh and the right combo of flakey and soft. Honestly, I'm so glad we gave this place a try tonight. I really wanted banh mi, and since I used to live in Orange County - Garden Grove especially, finding a good banh mi place out here is sooo hard. This place, their cold cut banh mi (similar to a banh mi dac biet) hits the spot. Their pate is so good. I'll have to ask them for extra pate next time. They packed in the pate as per my request, and the cold cut was thicker than usual. They didn't skimp on the mayo and veggies either. I also had the honey green tea and ube milk tea and those weren't bad either. The only thing was that they didn't have the boba or brown sugar ready, saying that it'll take an hour to make. If this is the case, perhaps they should come earlier to prepare or open a bit later. Overall, I'm glad this place is making (good) banh mi more accessible to folks in this area. I ordered the cold cut sandwich, which tasted good, but I wish it had more meat and pickled vegetables. If you look at the business's picture with the two sandwiches, they show overflowing meat and vegetables. However, if you look at mine, there's more bread than meat and veggies, which doesn't create a good balance. The staff were nice, and the service was fast.
