We love this place!! Great people behind the bar and customers Chrck it out everyone

Went into the bar and ordered a drink, one of my friends doesn't drink alcohol so he ordered a non alcoholic mojito. One of the bartenders asked how his drink was and he said it wasn't great but he would drink it. The middle aged blondish female bartender stepped in and said "You ordered a non alcoholic mojito, it's basically just lemon juice and seltzer water. You are a fucking child." I understand everyone has bad days but that is unacceptable and you chose to work in customer service so at least try to be decent to your customers instead of being rude with the first words that came out of your mouth. We closed our tab and walked out without even finishing our drinks. We will definitely not be going back there ever again. The young man was a very nice guy but the customer service we received from the middle aged lady was enough to leave and never come back. read more

The first time I went to 219 I had a good time everything was great but I haven't been there in a while, thought I'd stop in and see if it was still good but it wasn't I ordered one drink not a double nothing fancy and the Bartender charged me 25 bucks!!! I'll never go in there Again total rip off!!! read more

Well, coming from out of town I absolutely live this place. I had live music. Amazing drinks great prices, friendly staff that knew what they were doing. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try the food, but it looked really great for everybody to walk by with him whenever I'm back in town I will definitely come back in Enjoy more entertainment. read more

My husband and I first came here last October to visit my Sister in law for a couple days. We had never been to Idaho. Omg, after going to the 219, we both looked at each other and said we found our place and found our people! We have come back for a family reunion and just had to make it back to the 219. Very friendly staff, pool tables and many locals to chat with. Did I say that they also make a great drink! read more

Great place with great staff. Love the nostalgia, and a great place to hear music. Plenty of screens for Sunday sports. Nice selection of good craft beer on tap. Lots of different cocktails. read more

Love the place. Great venue and the staff are tip top. A true 5 star dive bar! Many fine times there with good friends.

This is THE place to get your buzz, interact with the locals and have a great time! Its a bit dive-y, but I like it that way better than some snooty place. You can relax, enjoy a good strong drink - excellent Long Islands by the way - plus now they have the good whiskey - and craft beers. Its been two years since our last visit and they've made good changes - no smoking inside, live music, better drinks and bartenders. The pool table is still cheap and there aren't people all crowded around so you can actually play without poking people. The locals are fun and welcoming and fast friends are made - even when I won many pool rounds! Sure, you might have to go get your drink at the bar, but the service was good for a busy Saturday night. Can't wait to go back! read more

Nothing like a good bar, a good bartender and a fun town. The locals are friendly, the bar has a divey vibe but actually isn't a dive and the music on Friday nights is good. Nothing but good times and good drinks here. This is a great stop in Sandpoint! read more

Love this bar . They just jacked their prices up from $5 tp $6. That's more than most anywhere in town. Sadly well probably go elsewhere now. Some places in town are doing the same drinks for$3 and $4. read more

I have no idea where these other reviews come from but the place is nothing more than a misplaced college bar. Cheap, crappy, but stiff drinks, lots of beer, pool table, jukebox or your typical Friday night band. If you are looking to relive your college drunk nights then this is the place for you. read more

I shake my head at myself as I write this review. This is the bar I used to be afraid to drag my mom and grandpa out of. This is where the serious drinking happens. Going there now, when I'm old enough to be most everyone's- but that kick ass waitress-mom in the place, makes me realize that time may change me, but I can't trace time. I can, however, play AC/DC on the jukebox, order up a STIFF drink and shoot the shit with my friends for hours here. And do that, I will, every time I'm in town. read more

From Downtown Sacramento in California and the thing is...I like stiff drinks, and live bands...so this place pretty much did it for me. Aside from the name which, for me, is lacking...it's pretty great all around! Brick building, Christmas lights above the bar, old/vintage décor everywhere, and booths or tables to sit at. Not used to people being able to smoke inside, but overall not too bad considering I don't smoke. It's a pretty big sized bar and I really think the only thing that makes it "divey" is the STIFF CHEAP DRINKS!! Which...YAH!! Otherwise, it's spacious, tons of seating, two bars (one inside and one on the back patio), has live bands, a great selection on the juke box, pool tables, well kept restrooms, and the floors aren't sticky. ;) I call this a win. Dive bar and do not expect more. That being said free jukebox and friendly staff. Drinks are reasonably priced and poured with a heavy hand. Smoking is allowed inside and seems to be popular with the patrons. You might want to hold an unlit cigarette in your mouth so you have a filter to breath through. I am saying the place is smoky and you will smell like smoke the rest of the evening. Even with the smoke I like the place and suggest it for a quick stop to get your buzz started. read more

Fantastic dive bar where the locals are bound to know half the crowd. It is one of the few places in town that still allows smoking indoors, which is a negative. But the drinks are cheap and the jukebox is free. It's a definite stop during any night on the town. read more

I have been coming to this bar for 40 years!! Three years before I was of legal age, back then the drinking age was 19, 18 in Montana. I still love this bar, it's not as wild as it use to be, I think the police have changed this town for the worst, it use to be a lot of fun, cruising town live bands in every bar 219 to middle earth to. Mobys deep 6. It was a wonderful place to grow up, you knew everyone. Kagers at dog beach every week end!! Everyone we're friends. For being a tourist town there's not much to do anymore. My in-laws owned the roller rink, there were a lot more to do in town back then, it's kinda sad what has happened here!!! Anyone even remember burts place or cowgirl corral or bogie in the sun the weekend after the 4th of July??? How about a run to little Opry hall in Montana?? Things do change but not for the better, but 219 is still the staple of what Sandpoint use to be!!!! read more

This is a great place to get a stiff drink with a cold local brew chaser...by a no nonsense,friendly bartender named Mitch [ dayshifts ] They're still in the process of fixin the joint up,so maybe not the 5 star dive bar anymore,but,it's a great bar all the same. Friendly locals in there every afternoon I've been in town. Pull up a stool by 1 of the local dogs and shoot the bull with tourists and locals alike. I've yet to check out the nicely laid out new patio out back but should be a great time on weekends when live music and bbq get going. read more

If I could give no stars I would!!! Unfortunately there aren't many options in Sandpoint as far as bars go. I don't even know where to start! The place is so dirty and the bartender informed us the other night that they have mold growing under the counter behind the bar. As we were walking in to the establishment we were greeted with a hourindous odor! It smelled of dog poo and vomit. We then brought the smell to the attention of the bartender. Her response was about as hourindous as the smell. She was extremely rude and denied that anyone had vomited in the bar that evening and that there was no dog poop. She said she smelled nothing! Then she proceeds to tell us that the smell must be coming from the mold under the bar. I completely understand that it is a bar that allows dogs and people do vomit in bars. The fact that the bartender had such a horrible attitude about the situation was what made us leave (after I had to make a run to the bathroom to throw up from the stench). Please enter this establishment with nose plugs and be prepared to be treated like crap! read more
