The "clientcare" email isn't monitored so she's having it removed. As far as my concerns about feeling unprotected and stumbling into this mess, she explained they don't have access to previous transactions not involving their own company. That meant they did not see previous inspections showing the need for repairs. With that in mind, she'll ask agents and inspectors to be more assertive about the potential buyer having a full and complete inspection report before signing anything. So I'm changing my review back to 5 stars because Emmy was amazing, and the owner was responsive once she knew of the problem. I'm satisfied with the outcome. ....now, the FLIPPER--that will be a different review altogether.....

I'm guessing the early poor reviews were for prior management, as Leah and her team were utmost professionals and run a smooth operation. The location of the space is great, being in the inner SE industrial area. You're close to a lot of great lunch options and breweries and also have the Market of Choice grocery store nearby. Noise was never a problem in the space and neighbors were always friendly and courteous. The only reason I left Activspace was because we moved away from Portland. Had we not moved, I could've seen myself using the place for my business needs for the next several years. I highly recommend it! As for the Deposit, I followed the simple instructions provided by Leah to make sure the place looked just like it did when I received it. I didn't have any of my deposit withheld, so I imagine previous reviewers were leaving their places in poor condition due to laziness.

Halls and lifts smell like piss 24/7 $100+ "service charge" every month In the 6 months I lived here the entire building was evacuated later than 9 in the evening 7 times because of fire alarms malfunctioning. Any attempt to communicate with management is met with attitude and condescension. Paid a full months rent deposit ~2000 dollars got 600 back. Criminals Attempt to contact management and have any issues fixed and I guarantee they won't get back to you. Once I had moved they incurred 20 days worth of NW natural charges on refused to pay out to cover their incurred cost. Save yourself the hassle and rent elsewhere. Looks like they still are the same terrible management as I have talked to several others who has similar experiences.

It was Sunday, there were no other cars, and I was at a professional conference I'd been invited to by a friend. I'd been on my feet all day and was exhausted, and left my car in the lot just a tiny bit longer than expected. There were no other cars in the lot, and basically all the street parking spots were empty since it was a Sunday night. However, of course, they gave me a $39 ticket. Which I set inside the driver door of my car, I was very tired and one of my parents had recently passed away in traumatic circumstances, so I wasn't willing to think about a parking ticket as I was leaving the event. Of course, they then send a handful of threatening letters to me and raised the total to $89 and threatened to send me to collections. Amazing. All in all, a horrible experience. Parking structures in Portland (and most cities) are a racket run by profit-hungry leeches. This one's no exception.

Carrie, the leasing manager, is incredibly kind, approachable, and genuinely cares about residents. She handles issues quickly and always makes you feel heard. Our dog absolutely loves her (the office treats definitely help), and she's created such a positive, welcoming culture in the building. Paul on the maintenance team is just as great -- reliable, quick to respond to work orders, and always friendly. It really feels like they both take pride in keeping the community running smoothly. They make a fantastic team and have made The Parker a truly great place to live.

Jennifer helped me re-fresh my living room, with a new sofa that is absolutely me in style and color, and then re-upholstered two chairs that belonged to my grandparents in fabrics that were gorgeous, wearable, and historically consistent. Jennifer has a wealth of knowledge about obscure resources, like where to get seat bottoms re-caned and who has the best range of lamp shades. Add to that limitless patience and fair prices...I wouldn't go anywhere else.
