The bartender was quick and stop back frequently to make sure we were all right. They have an awesome space on the rooftop, great place to have a group and enjoy some sunshine. Above average sports bar with phenomenal food. My boyfriend and I come here for almost every big sporting event and have yet to be disappointed. The garlic cheese bread is our absolute favorite with lots of cheese and garlic - we have to get it every time we go here. We also tried their pizza instead of the calzones like we usually get. The fluffy dough and heavy meat toppings made it something we would for sure order again. Overall this is the spot for a pregame or any sports game (especially the rooftop in the summer). Ordered a GF chicken tender with corn chips, Turkey Reuben on GF bread ($2) with a side of waffle fries and a chicken avocado salad with no bacon and the citrus balsamic instead of the strawberry balsamic. I prefer tart over sweet vinaigrettes. The food all came out together. The Turkey Reuben was decent, even the GF bread was soft too, tad small. A good amount of Turkey meat on it too. The waffle fries were good. The chicken tenders are rock hard on the outside, but that's how their GF crunch comes out as is here. The tenders themselves have good flavor. The chicken meat is also tender inside. You don't even need sauce with it at all, it's flavorful enough. The chicken avocado salad is okay. It's all iceberg lettuce. The grilled chicken is quite overcooked and really dry as well. The service and food wasn't bad. Would have been good to know the GF bread was $2 extra as well as the $1.50 for the waffle fries, as I wasn't aware they were an up-charge either. There is that annoying charge for CC use here too. This is irksome to say the least. So you either pay $3 to get cash out or pay 4% for using your credit card. They screw you either way if you don't carry cash around. No mention of a 4% charge for CC here at all either. Why are restaurants not upfront and honest about this extra charge to patrons? I love the rooftop, it's open all year round! In the winter they cover it and have heaters going. I always enjoy my food. I usually get the chicken tender roll-up, swap grilled chicken and add the honey chipotle rub. It's amazing! Great homemade chips and plenty of good apps to choose from. I went with a decent sized group of six guys during one of the USA World Cup matches. The place was packed full with people and maybe two to three employees working the front. My friends and I ordered food and while they were drink beer I was not. I noticed that over time they were getting refills while I wasn't getting as much. I understand the bar math of it all, my drink is a fixed priced and bottomless so serve the people paying for each drink, but it bothered me to feel some what punished for being sober. The nachos were massive, I should have ordered the smaller serving. But the nachos weren't that great. The cheese was all melted on top with a lot of untouched chips underneath the initial layer. Great local sports bar with good food and awesome daily specials! This is a great spot to watch a game, have a low key gettogether dinner and drinks with friends or a nice summertime spot with the rooftop dining option. There's no bells and whistles but they have tons of TV's and keno. Their pizza is very good and their nacho's is huge if you get the full portion. Their happy hour is M-F 4-6 but they have some great daily deal on top of that. One of our favorites being Friday 8pm-close 1/2 well drinks and Saturday all day long $4 valentine vodka drinks! My friends and I absolutely LOVE 24 Seconds. After our kickball league on Thursdays, 24 Seconds is our favorite choice. Their wings might actually be the best (flavor and size) wings in the area. Decently priced and their upstairs patio is amazing. The only reason I'm giving them 4/5 stars is that we asked for reservations and were told they didn't do reservations until very recently. Loud atmosphere makes this place feel much more like a bar than a restaurant as well as being able to seat yourself or stand around the bar. They have a great selection of beer on tap. Only reason I'm docking it a star is because I have not tried their food. I have been here many of times and every time their are plenty of people eating but from word of mouth I've heard their food is just okay, just bar food while you're drinking really. Extremely rude waitress. A group of us came in to celebrate our friend's birthday (all of us of legal age to drink). We were refused service due to my friend having an out of state license. The waitress was unbelievably rude when telling us that she'd decided to not serve us and laughed in our faces. We politely asked if there was someone else that could look at the ID, to which she replied that someone already had. We asked if she scanned the ID, which she claimed to be "unable" to. However, after this service tonight, we will not be returning. Even a coworker of the waitress came out to us to apologize for her behavior. I have been a bartender and understand dealing with fake IDs. I understand that her weariness to serve is to protect herself. However, the way she acted in response to the situation baffles me. Ridiculous service and prices. First, when we ask for a menu the waitress points to the QR code and makes it sound like we were stupid for asking for a menu. Second, there is no cell phone service in the place and have to either walk outside so that we can get reception to see the menu or use their public WIFI, which I refuse to do, just so we can order food. Im giving it 4 stars because it had a veggie burger which is rare for a burger/sports place but the service wasn't great (see below). Their servings are huuuuge for the price. I think the chips and salsa was around $4 and the chips lasted me for days afterward. My friend got the fish tacos and one of those bad boys filled her up-- it comes with 4! My veggie burger was also very thick and not Morningstar or Quorn, I believe it's a handmade black bean patty. So yea, service wasn't the greatest... the server was very friendly to us and attentive but was also complaining about her job the whole time. Maybe we just caught her on a bad day, though. We watched the game and ate on the rooftop. The TVs are kinda hard to see unless you sit right up at the bar (other TVs kind of have a glare) but it was a good time! My fiancé said that was the best spinach artichoke dip he's ever had and he gets it at any place that has it as an appetizer. The sweet potato fries were also 10/10. Food is pretty solid but the issue is with the staff and the lack of customer service with the majority of the staff. Our initial server was Madison (I believe that was her name) and she was awesome. If she controlled all the interactions- I would have given this 5 stars. However, between the rude bartender (who immediately said we could not request certain games on TVs per manager rules- even though my question was simply asking where a certain game would be played/if at all) and another server who lacked etiquette as we tried to explain we had previously been there for 2 hours and went to grab a coffee which we were barred from bringing in (even though we planned on buying many more drinks) we did not receive the customer service we would expect. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. We had a group of 7, and the staff was nothing but rude to us. We were waiting for our friends to arrive after they drove their car in the dream cruise, I had confirmed with host, our server and the table next to us that we would be able to push the tables together. When it was time to do that the staff was very blunt and rude, refusing to allow us to combine the tables and putting her foot in front of me combining the tables like I was a dog. In the mean time, my group of friends were down stairs and the bouncer refused to let them come up until they were taking by a host.. which was fine. What was absolute bullshit,however, was when an attractive woman with very revealing clothing asked to go up stairs they had absolutely no problem letting her go (after not being able to pick her friends out on the camera, mind you). My friends then asked can we please go up and the staff responded by saying no, she is meeting friends... which makes no sense since we had a table ready for them. The only difference was my friends were in t-shirt. This is 2021, with all the changes we are making and the "progress" towards making everyone equal, I was truly astonished to hear my friends had to wait downstairs because they didn't show off there cleavage to the host. Completely unacceptable and devastating that these practices still exist today. My husband and I are new to Berkley and we have been here quite a few times already. The drinks are affordable and the food is delicious. We've had the pizza (AMAZING!), chicken caesar wrap and their chicken wings. Everything was delicious and the service was really good as well. This is a great sports bar to come to if you are looking for a casual night out with friends. We have yet to watch a sports game here but can tell it would definitely be the place go!
