Popped into Social to have an appetizer and drink after making a candle at Urban Wick and wait for it to cure. The space is super cute, modern and fresh. They had a consistent flow of people coming. I sat at the bar and Dylan was my bartender. He was super cool and friendly. I ordered some parm fries and the Lychee Love martini and it was delicious! Not too sweet or two tart. I'll be back to sit on the rooftop!

The food was good but the service was annoying. We came to celebrate a birthday on Sunday with a group of ten girls. We asked to sit outside when making the reservation and when at the restaurant. We were told they can't accommodate that many people in the patio. We have done it before and there were definitely tables available. However we were told the manager decided it's not feasible. We got the impression that since the table was already set they didn't want to redo it. My salad kale was pretty good and the salmon was done to my specifications. However my friend got the exact same but without dressing on the side and hers was way too salty. Heard same complaints from the lox and egg omelette. The cottage cheese pancakes were amazing and did all the heavy lifting for this restaurant.

Came for brunch with a bunch of friends. I've been here for dinner previously, but first time for brunch. The restaurant is clean and classy. We were seated inside right away. The staff was friendly and service was attentive. The food was nicely presented and flavorful. The choose your own ingredients skillet was great. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in for a late morning brunch and had a great time. The weather was wonderful, the rooftop patio had a great playlist and the service was awesome. I had a delicious aperol spritz (which they suggested adding some gin to, which I loved) and the breakfast sandwich with a side salad. I added some jalapeños to my sandwich to give it a little kick and it was delicious. Can't excited to go back and try some more delicious options!

Social Kitchen stays winning for me. Great vibe, amazing service, and the food never disappoints. I took my 9-year-old niece a few nights ago and we had such a sweet dinner experience bonus points for them having a kids menu! The brick chicken is great - perfectly seasoned every single time. And the hummus and goat appetizer is chefs kiss. Highly recommend.

Got the veal meatball. Salmon and lentils. And brick chicken. Over the years I learned to customize these to be less salty and less greasy. When I emohaothese customizations they honor it and it tastes pretty good and this is why I keep coming back. Chicken is crispy yet not overly so. Lentils is sour but that's cool. Meatball is filling and flavorful. Salmon is nothing special but too dry. Overall food is good. Atmosphere is nice but I never dine in, lol. Service friendly.

I stopped by Social again as I've enjoyed their Christmas decorations over the years and it helps put you in the spirit. Marc C., the bartender, was informative and kind. I even witnessed him take the time to write out a quick punch recipe for another customer who asked him for a recommendation as she was hosting tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I really enjoy their warm chicken salad sandwich that apparently has made a return to the weekend menu after a long haitus unfortunately. Since today is a Wednesday, I tried a French dip for lunch which was delicious on a cold day. Great atmosphere during the holidays especially and please consider trying if you're out shopping in Birmingham as the small charming towns need the love too.

Really good food and drinks. Gluten free items weren't marked on the menu but the staff was knowledgeable and I had no reactions.

Came here with a group for dinner and the food and overall atmosphere was very nice. Our server was so nice and very helpful with offering suggestions. I also had the truffle fries (not pictured) and they were so good. The salmon was good too however I would say if you have a salt sensitivity it may not be the best option as the vinaigrette dressing on the lentils is potent. Aside from that I would recommend and would return!

We headed straight to The Social for brunch after landing at the airport. The vibe was lively, and it was a convenient stop to refuel after a flight. We ordered the full truffle fries as appetizer and honestly, they were the highlight of the meal. Crispy, flavorful, and generously seasoned. Highly recommend those! For entrees, we had the turkey burger and the croque madame. Both were just okay unfortunately, they were a bit too salty for my taste. For drinks, we got a Faux Loma and an iced latte which were both decent, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, not a bad experience, but aside from the fries, the food didn't quite wow us. Would maybe return just for drinks and fries next time!

Attended Social Birmingham's pink event recently -- it was supposed to be on the rooftop but had to be moved inside due to the weather. They didn't miss a beat, though, with cute pink decor and a flower wall that made for the perfect backdrop. I ordered the Pretty in Pink drink (their version of a French 75) -- it came with pink cotton candy and was deliciously strong! The spinach dip was so flavorful and well-seasoned, definitely a standout. Service was excellent all night, and I'd absolutely recommend this spot!

Food was good, truffle fries were also great. Alyssa was a great hostess, Jack was an inspiration to all, good conversationalist. The only problem I had with the ambiance was their outrageously obnoxious music they have playing at all times.

The exterior and the interior are top-notch and it is definitely a place to dress incredibly nice and show off your skill in ordering bougie cocktails and high-end spirits. My bf, his mom, and I were treated to dinner here in June 2026 by my boyfriend's uncle, who lives a couple blocks away and goes here regularly. After deciding on just sticking with water for our drinks, we ordered the artisan garlic bread ($8) to split between the four of us. I must be a bread obsessive person because I LOVED this version of garlic bread - it is very different than the Texas Toast frozen brand you buy at the supermarkets, just FYI. The bread is super crusty and the sauce is barely garlic-y. I was stuck on ordering myself the maple seasoned sweet potato waffle fries ($9) no matter what, so to offset allllllll the calories I have already had earlier in the day (as well as with the garlic bread and fries), I ordered the Sicilian Caesar salad ($14) with blackened chicken added on ($12). For $26, this was one very basic chicken Caesar salad for how dang expensive it was. But I guess I was trying to be healthy in a gastropub, so that's on me. The others ordered fish and chips ($29), bangers and mash ($30), and the grilled salmon bowl ($32). I know that the prices are high to match the clientele in this high earning Michigan community, but I still think the prices are just all-around way too high. Perhaps the fish and chips alone was worth the price out of the four mains. I tasted the fish and it was perfectly fried and the portion of fish and fries were generous. By this point, we were full and skipped dessert although they had a nice selection on their menu. The service was professional and prompt, despite the place being packed. I didn't pay the bill, fortunately, but I don't think the mains are worth the price. If in the area, I would love to come back for a happy hour and get a cocktail and eat more waffle fries and artisan garlic bread! Perhaps on a day when I am carbo-loading haha.

Thankfully, there was an extra set of silverware on the table that someone gave me. Also whoever's in the kitchen, or whoever prepares the desserts, apparently didn't think to look at the menu and see that there were four ingredients to my dessert. They initially only gave me two of them. I had to ask for the other two and basically build it myself. Having said that, I loved the atmosphere and the food, once it was correct, was delicious! I had the BHP Crunchy Friatta (their take on a frittata). It was delicious, but those Hungarian peppers were SPICY!! I had the Strawberries & cream for dessert (from the brunch menu). They literally brought me a bowl of strawberries and cream, so I told the waiter it was supposed to have granola, which he didn't know. After he left to get me the granola, I remembered it was also supposed to have a raspberry compote type thing on it. He also didn't know that.

My salad had canned corn and jalapeños on it, the avacado was old, and the dressing was watered down, no flavor. The slider my son had as gross, luckily he's 5 and doesn't know any better, however he still didn't want to eat it. When we addressed this the server, who was new, she was kind enough. But then the owner, Mitch I believe, came out and refused to make any accommodations for the disgusting food. He got loud and boisterous with us, spoke down to us, and was even so bold as to claim that they have never had any complaints the whole time he's owned the place. Needless to say I'll never take my family to this place again. YOU should stear clear as well. I didn't personally care about this, but I definitely noticed my party getting a bit frustrated by the experience as it happened about 4 times before we officially got seated, which also exceeded our initial reservation time. The service itself was okay. I wish they would've come around a bit more as we were out of water while eating our meal, but I know it was super busy that day!!
