We paid 24x7 to purchase and install a high-end Chamberlain garage door opener earlier this year. Victor Azzam and his son performed the installation. The garage door opener stopped working and Chamberlain sent us a lower-end model as a replacement. I've tried to contact Victor on his cell phone over the past 4 days, to no avail. The calls go directly to a voicemail system for employees to check their voicemail. The phone number provided in this Yelp listing goes to the same system. Is the company out of business? I need the receipt for the unit so I can deal with Chamberlain directly, but this entire company is MIA. Steer clear of these guys. Not sure what's going on. read more

Used them based on a penny saver mailer. It took two to three calls to get a service person out. The repair person said I needed new springs and changed me over $400. Plus labor. Two weeks later my door was broken again. They can out and suggested replacing the door. Another $850. I got a second opinion and found out that a new door comes with a track and springs and is only $850 installed. So now I have a new door with a differing company and I'm stuck stuck with $400 springs that I found online for under $100. I've made several calls to the company and they have promised to have ownership call me and so far I have not received a call. My advice make sure you shop around. read more

They got the door to work but suggested that eventually the motor would need to be replaced. They quoted me the price including an extra remote $850.00. I went ahead and had the work done. I asked if this pricing including the $125.00 discount that was on the recent flyer. He said yes. They did a great job on the new motor and I'm really happy with new motor and instant lighting when I walk out to the garage. My only issues was/is the pricing supposedly is minus the $125.00 advertisement. That means that the motor was $900.00? They were quick and did their job very professionally. I called 24 x 7 after looking them up in the yellow pages. I explained the emergency situation with the garage door not closing and that I was outside. I had to stay by the open door since things could be stolen in my neighborhood. They told me that they would have someone there in less than two hours. I told them to hurry it if possible since the sun was on it's way down...around 5:30. I called back in an hour and they told me to wait. I called back in another half hour and couldn't get anyone to answer. I left a message and told them I was going to get another company. It was getting dark outside. I finally got someone on the phone 15 minutes later and they told me that it could be anytime...the tech. was held up. I was done with them. Got lucky finding these LOCAL Pros! Got an immediately appointment, fixed my garage, got a good price, fast & professional service, I couldn't have asked for the process to go any smoother. I found 24x7 Garage Doors in a mailer ad I received, I was a little leery at first not knowing anything about garage repair, how much it would cost and if this company was a call center. Victor the owner answered when I called, explained the possibilities and was able to come provide an estimate free of charge without being pushy. The guys at 24x7 are top notch. We had them out when the chain detached and sheared off the gear at the top. Talk about incredible service. We called them on the Tuesday before thanksgiving and they were out the very next day and not only fixed the gear but correctly analyzed the problem was that our door was much heavier than a normal door and thus the springs needed to be changed. Chad and Victor got the job done in under an hour. As a real estate investor and residential redeveloper I appreciate good work and love it even more when they go the extra mile to diagnose and fix a problem that would have cost us even more had we just fixed the gear. After arriving he found out fairly quickly that my 2 car garage door was only installed with 1 spring from the previous home owner. They fixed the problem within a couple hours and most importantly Vic had no problem taking his time to explain to me what was being fixed. I called 24x7 Pro on December 31 because the door came off its track I called at different times over the weekend and the company did not call be back. When I had a general contractor call them, they brushed him off. I discovered 24x7 Pro Service through a Valpak coupon. My large garage door has needed a little loving care for many years and I've kept putting it off. Besides being very noisy, it was very out of balance. Even though I was not in a big hurry and was only considering an estimate, Vic and Ricky were there the day after I called them. They evaluated the situation, gave me an estimate, and in the end, had everything they needed right there to make the door good as new. It's working the best it ever has in the 15 years we've owned the house. They were fast, friendly, and were willing to explain everything they were doing to an old nosey DIYer. Since they were already here, after working on the big door, I had them take a look at my little garage door which had a buckled top panel because some unnamed person tried to open it while it was locked. (Not recommended). I have looked around for a replacement panel over the past few years and never had any luck. I managed to unsuccessfully MacGyver it to sort of open and close. Again, Vic and Ricky had the materials they needed to repair the door and actually make it stronger than it was before becoming a garage door taco. Called this company in late 2015 for garage door maintenance. Ended up being told the garage door was in serious danger of falling, needed new springs and alignment. After sticker shock for the price and debating whether or not to do the work or replace the entire door we decided to keep the 10+ year old door and perform the maintenance. We felt a little taken with the price and that the tech seemed a little shady. For the past few months the door has been opening again right before it finishes closing. Eventually the door came off the track because the cable uncoiled. Totally thought this was something caused by the service performed less than a year back so had the company out to look at it. When the same tech came out without even looking at the cause of the door being off track told us it would be $500 to repair. Needless to say we were not happy with this and after much back and forth we did not have them perform the service. We needed to get our cars out so took a look at it ourselves. We were able to align the door, recoil the cable and open, then close the door. Another garage repair person came out and let us know the spring was not wound all the way when replaced which likely caused the cable to uncoil over time. He was able to tighten everything and lubricated the moving parts. The door is working perfect and opens smoother than it did after this company repaired it last year. The point of this review is to warn others to be cautious when using this company. It may just be this tech, but this experience is similar to some of the other reviewers complaints. It seems they use the fact that you are stuck in the garage to get you to do unnecessary work and overpay for the repairs. read more

The more I reflect on my experience, the more upset I become. I called this company based on a coupon from a ValPak. Long story short, I was charged $400 for less than 30 minutes of work (no parts required) for a garage door that was simply off track. My original estimate was $539 and I had a coupon for $135 off a repair. At first, Vic told me that an extra $100 was necessary because of them having to drive 45 minutes because this was an emergency-it most assuredly was not- and how an extra person had to come along and be paid overtime on a Sunday, so the cost would be $499.The coupon stated a free service call with a repair, which also didn't happen. I agreed to the work because because of his fast talking. I should have sent them on their way and called someone else. He said he would try to make it quick and reduce the price. After doing research and speaking to others who had had similar issues, I realized this repair should have cost $150 at the most. I was charged at a rate of approx. $800/hour for labor. I heard all sorts of excuses, such as his wife that answers the phone didn't tell me about Sunday rates and the people who print the coupons made mistakes. I would not use this company again and I would certainly not recommend them to anyone else. I am very tempted to call the Better Business Bureau. I really wish I had not let them do the repair and called someone else. $400 for less than 30 minutes work. Unbelievable. Now after speaking to the owner and telling him I never said it was an emergency, he wanted to play the recording for me. The more I read about this company reviews and practices the more I feel they are not doing right by their customers and it is taken me this long to write this review. I called this company based on their ad in Home Concepts magazine June edition. We were charged $300.00 for a 20 minutes job. Both Victor and another guy came in said the hinge was broken and needed to be replaced and the track was off. They left with the guarantee that they have 30 days warrantee on the repair. The next day we open the garage and it would not close, it kept going back and hanging in the middle. We called this company after many trials and was told if they are to come back it will cost us another $45.00 BUT Victor can call us back and walk us through how to fix it may be it was the sensor. Victor called back and walk us through to make sure nothing was in the way of the sensors connecting to each other on both sides of the garage. The next day we had the same problem and we decided not to bother with it and taken too much time to get the car out of the garage that we decided to leave the car outside for 4 days. We kept trying and finally took the garage off and open it manually for another few days. This was not what we paid $300.00 for and we finally called this company back and was told they can have someone come by the last time to see what the problem was. Victor came back within few minutes made the diagnosis that we need to contact the manufacturer to of the garage motor because they think the motor is malfunction which they could have told us from the beginning of this whole process. They are the EXPECT charged us for the unnecessary charges. I would NOT use this company again and I would NOT recommend them to anyone else. I had a snapped spring on my door. Being an avid DIYer and short on budget I figured I'd head to home depot and just pick up the parts. Well, it turns out home depot don't sell torsion springs, nor do anyone else for liability reasons.
