Dont ever use 2A zone for their FFL service by having a firearm shipped to them from an outside vendor. My gun has been sitting at their store since yesterday (02-9-23), so I made an appointment for this afternoon to start DRO's. I walked in on time and a heavy set lazy guy said "sorry, your gun hasn't been checked in yet, so you can't start DRO's yet." Im sure the lazy guy could have "checked it in" in a few minutes. These folks have fantastic customer service and great online response. Super knowledgeable about all the California restrictions and will walk you through the entire process correctly. They can get really busy with long lines so I like to go weekday mornings. You can also make an appointment online. Not a lot of friendly customer service oriented FFLs out there so they earned my business several times over. read more

Nice assortment of weapons and they have ammo! Don't forget you need to have your Drivers license to purchase ammo. I went to the shop and had them build me a rifle from scratch. Allen (not sure correct spelling) helped me and was very helpful. He is quite knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The rifle came out beautiful! All of the employees are very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have dealt with many gun shops over the years and this place is by far a step above them all. I highly recommend them. This shop is outstanding! I can't believe this was my first time here, but it's definitely not my last time. Everyone here is so nice, unlike other gun shops where they make you feel like they're doing you a favor. 2A Zone could've also been called the No Attitude Zone...because of how friendly they are. The team and ambiance is reminiscent of the late Gunfighter Tactical. Customers are greeted the moment you walk through the door. Great experience on my first visit, highly suggest setting an appointment on their website as there was a bit of a wait for walk-ins. The guy at the front of the walk-in line mouthed off a bit to the staff and left when I "cut" him, hopefully hes done some research and figured out what appointments mean by now. Staff had my back and was equally respectful to the other fellow too. Maybe about 5 min after he left, the next counter opened up. I want to begin by saying, before the negative experience I had, I thought this place was going to be my go-to gun shop for any firearm related needs. The guys here were awesome. Very friendly and literally take their time with each customer to answer any questions or concerns even if they're super busy during that time. I came into this shop to transfer a firearm from one private party to another. I was recommended by a previous customer that this was the place to go. The experience was literally painless. From start to finish, it took around 10 min and the price was VERY reasonable. Now onto the negative experience... Prior to picking up my firearm, during the 10 day wait period, I texted the shop (see picture attached) to see if they could align my aftermarket rear sight I previously installed. They agreed that they did have the capability to perform this task. So after receiving my firearm, I asked one of the employees if he could align them for me. He agreed and went to work. Unfortunately, he did not use a press and instead used what sounded like a hammer and what he admitted was a "plastic" punch. He successfully aligned my sight; however, due to his incompetence and lack of proper tools, he marred the side of my sights (see pictures attached). When I confronted the owner about this, the employee denied leaving these marks and said that these marks were on the firearm before he started working on it. He then admitted he used a "plastic" punch to align them. The problem with this is plastic wouldn't have marred the sides and also, he inadvertently admitted that he did not use the proper tool to align my sight. A sight press is needed to align the sight and the owner even admitted that they had one. I didn't come to the store to accuse anyone of anything and get "free sights." I expected a professional store to do a professional job and take pride in their work. Unfortunately, that's not what happened. I agreed to pay half of their cost to purchase the sights. Since they didn't have the sights in stock, they told me they would contact me once the sights are shipped to them. I followed up five days later and was told they were back ordered. I asked if I could get a refund for the amount instead and the owner agreed. Again, I thought this shop was awesome. I recommended it to everyone I knew that was in the area, but after this experience, I'm definitely not coming back and I get the need to write this review to warn others just in case they need some type of gun smithing work done. If you're going to transfer a firearm or purchase one, go right ahead, but steer clear of getting any work done or else... Background: This rear sight was installed with a MGW sight installation tool w/ a slim frame conversion since the firearm required it. I asked if they could align the sights because I did not center them the first time I installed them. Why don't I just align them myself if I have the tool you ask? Well, I only have the slim frame conversion tool in my possession. I borrowed the MGW tool from a family member who is out of the state and refuses to come back until COVID is over. Since I'm an impatient person, I would rather pay someone to align them instead of waiting for who knows how long. I thought that would be significantly cheaper than purchasing a tool I'd most likely only use once. read more

I messaged them with my questions and their response times were fantastic and they answered all my questions and educated me on things I needed to know about the process on my first purchase and about the different firearms I was interested in. Came in as a walk in for a PPT and only waited a few minuets before Justine got the process goin for the buyer and myself. She was on point throughout the entire transfer, and injected some much needed humor to keep the mood light a on a Monday afternoon. The entire PPT took almost no time at all (way less than an hour and a half, which can happen at other shops). She was even happy to pull some firearms from the wall for us to handle.
