Sometimes they run a BOGO sale and I was able to catch this on Mystery/Suspense Novels and hooked a Hitchcock! Can't beat snagging 2 books for eight books! Great deal! They even take books in on trade to boot. The ladies that work there were very helpful and we found some neat things. They even have a nice selection or rare and first edition novels.

The service is ok, but they are very unorganised, they said they had a book that I needed for school but they didn't end up having it. On one aisle, there were so many items shoved onto the shelves that you couldn't even tell what they were, and it would have been hopeless to try and sort through them to find one that you liked. In another area of the store, there were just ripped boxes placed on top of a shelf, and again, you couldn't even tell what the merchandise was, and it looked very disorganized. In the rug and carpet section, it was perhaps the most disorganized that I've ever seen a store be, and there was even a carpet sticking out into the aisle, making it impossible to pass through. I know that you don't really go to Ollie's for an organized and aesthetically pleasing shopping experience, but this one trip was a little too excessive. Luckily, this was the first time that this has happened to me at this Ollie's, so I'm hoping that it was just a one-time thing, and I'll still be back in the future.

Which makes this store such a treasure. You can find a great selection of items and get your caffeine fix at the indoor Starbucks. The distinct sobering scent of brewed coffee grounds greets you at the entrance. The aisles are easy to navigate and of course there's wifi.

I've been visiting this location for over 5 years and the cafe staff are so friendly and despite my irregular visiting schedule, they remember my name each time I'm there. I also enjoy when they have after season clearance sales -- they will gradually mark items down to 50% off, then 75% off and the remaining will go for $1-2/item. The best time to check this out is after a holiday (think post-Easter / Halloween, etc.) as they will have a bunch of mark downs. I often find great little gift items to hold on to or fun surprises for myself (I got a cool kitchen scale one time for $2!).

When we made our trip to Columbia, one of the places I didn't know we were going to stop in was Cosmic rays! Cosmic rays specializes in a lot of things, including video games, toys but most importantly, comics! They have a nice selection of comics and being surrounded by them brought back nostalgia. My gf wanted to buy some comics for a friend since we were in the area, and rather than tell her what I thought, we picked the brain of staff, who were super cool about listening to what she was looking for, and came with recommendations that were right in line with what she wanted. Super friendly staff who were happy to let us casually peruse, and ultimately we walked away with a comic featuring AOC (a comic she couldn't walk away from). Located off of Devine st, there is limited parking right in front of the shop, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot, nor did we see the lot full each time we passed the area. Friendly staff, located on a main road, and filled with lots of entertainment from games to movies to comics, if you or someone you know wants to get into some adventures, come check Cosmic Rays out!

Once you get inside, you're facing off against scalper-level pricing, confused employees, and an absolute unwillingness to perform any level of customer service. I'm tired of coming here for broken arcade games, jacked up sky-high prices, confused employees, and broken promises. This was truly the last straw, if this business has any sense of customer service, or integrity, I'd welcome them to reach out to me to make this right. Most of their selection is kept "in the back" where you can't obtain pricing without having them make a big production about the trouble they're going through. I called in asking if they had a specific product for sale, Riftbound (This is 11/5, Riftbound Released 10/31) I was informed they had product, and plenty of it at $6 per booster pack. I drove out to the store, excited, only to arrive at the store to be told that they were not allowed to sell any product until tomorrow, and I should come back. I told them I understand that the event is tomorrow, but I called in, spoke to someone, drove all the way down to the store, could we possibly come to an arrangement where I'd be allowed to buy a limited number of packs, or pay today for pickup tomorrow? The answer was no, and that if I wanted product, despite being told to come down, that they had it available, was that I would have to come back, pay for the pre-release event and then maybe they'd be able to sell me product. The last event I attended here was a catastrophe, nobody knew what was going on, it started late, the whole event was a haphazard mess. Let me go on further to state that I went to a pre-release event at their competitor, The Side Deck, and not only did that go over great, I was treated like a customer, a friend, even, I felt welcome, I was sold product (limited, but I understand that.) The pre-release was organized, friendly, and a great experience. Short of this business taking a chance to reach out to someone who used to be a very valuable customer, I can't do it anymore, I am tired of the hassles, the confusion, and being dragged out for nothing. I will be updating this review one week from today (11/12/25) to let people who see this know whether or not the store reached out to make this right - if they choose to do so, awesome, this will be updated, and I will accept that accidents happen to the best of us, and fences can be mended. The right thing to do would've been to offer to sell me a limited amount of product. (I understand if there is a release coming, product can't be sold in bulk, but selling a few boosters would've been the right answer.)

I was totally blown away by the amount of board games, war games, RPG's, and TCG's they had available. Not to mention a ton of accessories and expansions. Also, a wide selection of collectibles (my wife might not shop for board games, but she'd love the Jim Shore figurines). Everything was very reasonably priced as well. I wish I lived closer because the space for gaming was huge, and the staff was extremely polite and friendly as well. I'll definitely be back!

In particular, they probably have the best selection of Gamecock hats that I've seen out of all the places I've been, and I really enjoyed perusing all the different designs. I also liked their selection of home accessories, decals, and other miscellaneous items such as golf covers and foam fingers. Finally, the one (1) employee that I interacted with was extremely nice and provided excellent customer service. The only complaint that I have about Addam's is that all of the merchandise was extremely expensive and is probably not affordable for a lot of Gamecock fans. I understand that they have a target demographic and need to make a profit, but it would be nice if it was a little bit more affordable and thus accessible to a larger percentage of the fanbase.
