The store it paced with all kinds of old games and they even have a model hobby store tucked into the side. The person behind the counter took the time to help me with what I was looking for. The price of the device was lower than what you would normally find it for on the market. Turns out it is having some problems and I'll update their response to it when I return today. But so far I still recommend the store and am very pleased with my experience so far.

They sell tons of collectible figures (including pop funko), comics, records, tapes, dvds, cds etc. used and new. They had an incredible LOTR collectible figure corner. It was above an employee only area so I had to ask the employees to pull things down for me and let me walk inside a bit closer to read what was up on the wall. That was annoying to do but they were nice. They had a ton of stuff overall I haven't seen in other places and I spent a LOT of money here! :)

We were using a Visa gift card to pay for a portion of these items when the owner/manager informed us that they couldn't process the gift card because of their antiquated transaction equipment. He said "we type the card information in manually and sometimes it works". Hmmm, sounds as if this has happened before and it'd be smart to update your systems to accommodate your costumers. He was rude and combative when we expressed how dissapointed we were that this happened. He doesn't want your business. The items are over-priced for used CDs and records anyway.

As soon as I started talking to her he gave me a snarky comment mad that I went past him and asked her first although he was sitting in is chair slumped back in the very back corner of the room away from the counter when I "went past" him. It was just odd. The whole experience from beginning to end was passive aggressive and it gave me the feeling they just didn't feel like being there and therefore had a bad attitude because of it. When we made our trip to Columbia, one of the places I didn't know we were going to stop in was Cosmic rays! Cosmic rays specializes in a lot of things, including video games, toys but most importantly, comics! They have a nice selection of comics and being surrounded by them brought back nostalgia. My gf wanted to buy some comics for a friend since we were in the area, and rather than tell her what I thought, we picked the brain of staff, who were super cool about listening to what she was looking for, and came with recommendations that were right in line with what she wanted. Super friendly staff who were happy to let us casually peruse, and ultimately we walked away with a comic featuring AOC (a comic she couldn't walk away from). Located off of Devine st, there is limited parking right in front of the shop, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot, nor did we see the lot full each time we passed the area. Friendly staff, located on a main road, and filled with lots of entertainment from games to movies to comics, if you or someone you know wants to get into some adventures, come check Cosmic Rays out!

Sunday 2/15 I went to purcase a used Wii under the suggestion of my grandson . Not being able to…read morepurchase myself being on a fixed income from disabilty he gave me 200 dollars to buy a console and a few games . With help I purchased a Wii, 5 games ,a chip to play camecube games and a controller . The next afternoon I went Bestbuy to purchase an rca to hdmi adapter after getting i home i set everything up . Console wont read disc ( try a couple time , even checked google) it keeps not working . I call the Cavern and they say to bring it in . HERES WHERE IT GETS GOOD ... When I brought in the console they tell me THE SERIAL NUMBER DOESNT MATCH THE RECEIPT. Its the same unit THE SAME ONE and they say there is nothing they can or will do . So Im/we're out 150 dollars and there is nothing I can do about it . Heres the scam - the units have the company serial number on the console and the console , controller, cords are all shirink wrapped together . The Caverns label only has a price and bar code with no other info for the customer to verify . So when they print the receipt thats it ALL SALES FINAL they dont verify the serial number against anything themselves . Yes the next day they point out the serial number on the console doesnt match the printed serial number on the receipt . I didnt know I had to check the receipt against the actual console he just scanned infront of me . SCAMMED I thank my grandson for trying to give me a liitle joy , at least his heart is in the right place. I had download YELP just for the post ... Yes it is the first review ive made . This blaten con easy to slip by . I can see if I came in 3 months later to complain ,but 24 hours ? Keep up the good work The Video Game Cavern .

Nonetheless, the games seemed to all be in clean condition. I have never met this owner, Rachel before, but if I come back, I hope she is over there. Go Gaming is a nifty little store that carries all of your geeky, gaming needs. Greenwood residents should be lucky they can buy retro video games!

Rachel (hope I spelled her name correctly) was absolutely wonderful. The biggest problem I face when shopping was the lack of a welcoming environment. She was instantly warm and genuine. This location, though physically not very large, had a great selection of games, equipment and nostalgia. I would recommend this store to anyone with children who want to purchase a game or to parents looking to find a gift. The prices are fair to say the least, and Rachel's knowledge of her inventory was impressive. She really seems to be invested into her store and her customers' happiness. I am very happy I stopped by after purchasing some candles at the neighboring shop. Thank you Rachel for a wonderful experience and I hope that your business finds greats success!
